Truly lovely place to stay. The loft is a large traditional style Thai room with a comfortable bed. Quiet, peaceful and overlooking rice fields. The hosts are lovely. Would strongly recommend.

Sadly, we only stayed for two nights at this wonderful place during a tour of Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai! My husband and I stayed in the beautiful 'Pillar room' and our son had a smaller but similarly lovely room. Bambuh Boutique has a wonderfully understated sophistication and elegance about it. From the furnishings in the room, to the garden areas, this place is an absolute gem emanating good taste and class. The owners and the staff were welcoming, friendly, attentive and relaxed. We took an exceptionally reasonably priced set breakfast each morning. The food was beautifully presented and wonderfully fresh. We also had a meal in the resort one evening and wow, what a feast of home cooked authentic Thai food! Thank you to Mark & Kallaya for providing this oasis of calm tranquility which we hope to return to in the future and would highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed for two weeks and loved it here! We stayed in The Pillar Room and it was everything we could have wanted. We were looking for a comfortable and slow few weeks and Bambuh was the perfect place to stay. Mark and Kallaya are wonderful and so sweet. The Homestay is beautiful and a romantic escape form the hustle and bustle of the city. Our room was perfect with cold air conditioning, a comfortable bed, hot shower, a place for my husband to work, and plenty of space for my morning yoga practice. Very easy to get to, using Grab, and still close enough to the city that we could pop in for the night markets, lunch, etc. HIGHLY recommend staying here and we hope some day to come back!

A hidden, calm gem in the outskirts of Chiang Rai, which is perfect when you only want to plunge into the more vibrant center once in a while. My room in the beautiful garden landscape was beautiful, cleaned daily and the owners Kallaya and Marc the best hosts I can imagine, friendly, helpful, welcoming. Even if the center is an approx. thirty minutes ride away it's really easy to get there and back with services like Grab for very fair rates. Only if it gets later in a night out it gets unprobable to find a grab driver (they cancel all the time then), then you probably have to switch to a taxi and offer a bit more than usual (like 300 instead of the common 180, to give you a direction), so that for them it's then paying out to surely have an empty ride back from the outskirts to the center. But yeah, this is also totally ok once in a while.

As city dwellers, we loved our stay at Bambuh. It was positioned away from the city but easily accessible by Grab. The hosts were great and we enjoyed the vegetarian dinner Ya cooked for us. We will most definitely be recommending our friends visiting Chiang Rai to book a stay here!

I ended up staying with Kallaya and Mark for 6 weeks. It was such a lovely place to rest more deeply. I'm travelling with a health issue and so was looking for somewhere quiet and calm in a beautiful location, and Bambuh Boutique was exactly the right place for me. The owners, as well as Foo, looked after me so well and were always happy to pick things up for me, support any dietary requests I had, or give me a lift. They also connected me to a local restaurant (Give Green Farm House Restaurant) so I could have fresh organic food delivered whenever Kallaya wasn't cooking lovely food herself. The gardens are well tended, lush and absolutely teeming with birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a quiet and soothing stay somewhere close to nature.

Mark & Ya were very friendly and helpful, wonderful hosts. The rooms were large and spacious, very inviting. Only thing was the water for a shower never got hot. Ask Mark for an Americano, he roasts the local beans he buys every two days and the coffee is fantastic. Ya also cooks a great meal for dinner, or their pancakes for breakfast are also great. Lovely time overall and lovely place. You do need a car or scooter though since it’s out of town. They do rent a couple 125cc scooters if you need them.
