The property itself is nice and the villas are great. However, the food quality across the restaurants left a lot to be desired. Also, please note that they prioritize wedding events - our stay overlapped with one and we had music playing and stage construction noises coming into our room past midnight and starting as early as 6am - and the hotel seemed unapologetic about that fact. This is despite being an ambassador elite Marriott member.

Best service ever. This hotel is a true 5 star that has great trained staffs. Everyone is very helpful and know what their duty are. They do things beyond our expectations. Breakfast is superb, especially the egg station. Kids swimming pool is great with sliders and fountains. The kids enjoy the facilities. We are happy and always enjoy stating at this hotel.

We arrived for a two night stay here in August 2022 to celebrate our honeymoon. My wife and I loved this place ever since we reached the hotel. The beach, the upgraded personal pool room, the dinner in both the restaurants on the property, and last but not least the hospitality of the staff were all superb. Especially, Alex, the front desk customer service coordinator was wonderful and she offered a special gift to my wife, who adored her. We would definitely return here.

If you're after a really, really relaxing resort away from the hustle and bustle of life, this is it. As part of the Marriott group, you know you're going to get excellence and pampering. The resort is situated next to a lake that is very cycle-worthy. My best bike ride so far on a less-than-stellar bike was here. It's a pleasant shaded 3.5km bike ride. The hotel provides bikes for free. We stopped midway for lunch and later for a beachside massage. It was a very, very fun exercise routine after a dive trip.

Great resort overall! Perfect for a week of getaway. Everything from food, amenities, activities and service are all great. Love the morning yoga and Thai boxing which is offered by the hotel. My Thai boxing trainer Yo was very nice! Relaxing and reading by the sea is also part of a perfect holiday! The hotel staff are very attentive! Highly recommend!

I can't think of enough good things to write about this property. Service was absolutely perfect. As a Marriott Ambassador member, I usually receive some kind of welcome, but here it was beyond expectations. Almost everyone at the resort knew my name and greeted me by name. Villas (I switched to a beachfront villa during my stay) were beautiful, clean, and spacious. If you're thinking about going to Phuket and looking for a quieter place to stay, this is the spot. Don't even think twice. Just go.

Hands down the best place to stay in Phuket if you want to stay away from the old Phuket party crowd. 20 minutes from the airport, secluded beaches. Beautifully clean resort with staff willing to do whatever it takes to make you happy. Food at the Thai restaurant was awesome but the best was the breakfast buffet. The staff member at the crepe station made us some out of the world Mango crepes that I will remember for a long time. Will definitely stay here next time I'm in Phuket.

This is our second stay at this resort and the service and amenities available did not disappoint. We had a private pool villa which was perfectly equipped for a relaxing private vacation for two. The staff here are what is the real stand out though, from the restaurant staff, the bar staff and the pool attendants through to the maintenance and housekeeping, they are all so friendly and always wanting to help to make your stay a memorable one. Which is the exact reason why we came back here. I would love to list specific names but I would only leave some names out and that wouldn't be fair to them.

World class service and absolutely wonderful staff keep me coming back to Renaissance Mai Khao. The people at this hotel truly are special, and will make you feel right at home throughout your stay. The rooms are very nice, well maintained and clean. The villas are very private and quiet and all have their own pool. I do have two issues with Renaissance, however. Firstly, the frequency of noisy and disruptive events is quite high. Whether it's a wedding, a corporate event, or otherwise, there's seems to always be some loud event taking over the beachfront. Secondly, the frequency with which they conduct noisy and disruptive maintenance/renovations works is also very high. I've stayed here 10 days over the last two weeks and there's been maybe one day where I haven't been woken up by hammering, pressure washing or some other form of noisy works. To their credit, they did inform of pest fogging the day prior, which gave me the opportunity to leave and avoid it, but other works happen routinely and without notification. It also doesn't appear they are terribly concerned with conducting their renovations in a safe manner, as they conduct wood sanding activities without any safety precautions in place, and allow the dust from the sanding to drift right towards the pool area. I wish they would properly seal a space off before sanding and contain the toxic dust, but with such a large block of rooms currently under renovation (they have one whole section of rooms blocked for renovations) I suppose that would be a bit too time consuming. Despite these issues, I will keep coming back to Renaissance because the service is just really that good. I've spent the past 4 months in hotels all over the world, and Renaissance Mai Khao really stands out from all the other places I've stayed in terms of service. If you're not sensitive to noise and don't mind renovations, loud music, and such, I'd highly recommend Renaissance for a stay. If you're looking for peace and quiet however, I'd say best to stay elsewhere at the moment.

Nice hotel for those who enjoys nature and tranquility. I stayed at this hotel twice. First time was 10 years ago and I would say that facilities are quite outdated. Good breakfast with variety of choices. I especially enjoyed fresh squeezed juices and coconut water. The design and atmosphere is great. The beach is perfect but sometimes it’s impossible to swim because of the waves and jellyfish (so nice that the stuff helped us with the sting with a vinegar). Overall great experience!

Great place for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Very clean & modern facilities - super friendly staff at the whole resort from the reception to house keeping. The guys & ladies working at the pool are amazing :-) Fantastic food throughout all the dining locations, world class breakfast. We will be back again soon hopefully

Their service is the best that I’ve experienced among all the Marriott’s hotels so far. Got upgraded to a Villa cause of Marriott membership, I had a great birthday here:) You can walk to the beach from the hotel, it’s super super comfortable. I love their HUGE bathtub in the room. Laundry service has a reasonable price! Breakfast also not bad, fresh pancake taste good:)

This is one of the best resorts I have veer been to. The service is from another world. The staff is so nice, kind and very helpful. They are always smiling. The only negative thing is the bed. The bed is hard as a rock. They should put a mattress topper so the customer feels like sleeping on top of the clouds. Everything else were perfect.

The service and amenities are still top notch. I was here 5 years ago and this is my 4th stay here since 2012. Was upgraded to a villa with plunge pool as an added benefit for being a titanium member but that came as a nice surprise because we weren't expecting it, not when the hotel industry is still in early stages of the recovery period devastated by the pandemic. Thank u. I have fond memories of this place and it certainly didn't disappoint.

This is the second visit to Renaissance Phuket. Normally we don’t repeatedly stay at the same hotel, but this is wonderful one that we wanna come to many times. The staff are amazingly attentive and the facility is maintained really well. You will have no regret when you enjoy staying here without doubt. Kudos to all the staff!

We did not stay at this resort but stumbled in one night to dine at the Taeking restaurant on site. It was one of the few food spots open past 9pm and what a truly pleasant surprise. Staff was super friendly and helpful, food was absolutely delicious, and the delightful atmosphere of sitting outside and overlooking the pond w/lily pads was an extra bonus. I ordered the poke bowl and took home a scrumptious piece of chocolate cake. Highly recommend and would definitely consider booking my next stay here.

The beachfront and lawn are beautiful and perfect place for sunset. Hotel ground provides relaxing ambience for wonderful holiday. Staff is very attentive. Hotel interior is well designed with contemporary touch. Deluxe room is very spacious and great value for money. Both adult and kid pools are nice! Breakfast is brilliant with lots of options and the venue is pretty with peaceful lotus pond. Food at Takieng and Sandbox are both great. Thanks for super wonderful stay. We will be definitely come back! <3

Lovely stay. Staff are so delightful. Many activities if you wish. Even though it was a busy time you felt like you were at your own private resort because of the layout. Had to mention for my phenomenal experience with Chef Thum. What a talent he is for Renaissance to have. Put me at ease instantly, inspired presentation ideas and truly has great skills. I would return just to take another class off of Chef Thum. My private training session in the gym with Job was excellent, he read my ability and worked out with me which helped. Shame the check out process is a mess and made us more the. 20 minites late for our airport departure!
