Gorgeous lookout area where you can see the Town of Banff. So peaceful here. You can drive right up to this lookout or take your bike up the mountain. There is a small trail you can walk. The hill is quite steep so be careful walking. You can bring a blanket and sit for a bit! There is a garbage bin if you need it. Some wildlife along the way sometimes, including mountain goats and bears.

Beautiful place to see Banff from hilltop, we watched sun set behind the mountains. Very near from the city. We were fortunate to see a black Bear while going there.

A 15 minutes drive from Banff Town Centre through some very windy roads with a few sharp turns, so be careful! Once you get up there, there is not really a parking lot but a small pull over with maybe 5 spots and a few more a bit ahead of the view point. The view is amazing of the town below and there’s even a grassy area in front of the parking lot where you can run around and take photos. When we visited on a Saturday at 8-9PM it was very busy and a tour bus even dropped off a bunch of people towards the end. It is worth the time to go up there for an amazing photo though!

First time in Banff. Took a chance to see the sunrise and got there way before first light. Soo quiet and amazing to see the dawn over the mountains and town.

BEAUTIFUL. Perfect place to park and look at the mountains. Lots of places to walk and sit. A good amount of parking and garbage cans. Lots of wildlife to see!! The speed limit is about 50 going up the mountain which is perfect for safety and sight seeing. Our favorite part of banff area

Locals will tell you Mt Norquay has better views and cheaper prices than the Banff Gondola and they’re right. And, as a bonus, there’s no queues – just turn up, pay and step on board. The ride up is quick, and the views from the top of Banff and surrounding mountains are just stunning. There’s a decent restaurant up here doing a limited menu, and, again, just turn up and sit down. If you’re not eating there’s no need to spend more than half an hour up here, so, if you drive up, it’s a quick way to see some great sights on a tight schedule. If you don’t have a car there’s a shuttle bus in town

Great spot to check out the views without having to hike if you got younger kids. (Although, the hill is steep if you choose to go on the grass. I had my 2 year old walking around up there but made sure to hold his hand or carry him)

Nice place to come for his views of Banff town center and the scenery surrounding it. There's a spot where you're able to park and walk around a bit and if you like you can continue onwards to mt. Norquay resort which is picky a couple more turns up the road. The road is nice and twisty too 😁

Breathtaking views, fresh, crisp, clean air, a winding mountain road and wild animals to look at. What more do you want?!

It's a beautiful lookout point, a must visit. Just get some coffee, sit there and look at the picturesque BANFF. It just beautiful

Best place to see the Banff downtown and so much more. Spend some time to sit enjoying the sunshine and the beautiful view, you might even receive some spiritual insight when you are totally immersed in this heavenly environment.

Amazing free spot to watch the sunset and the afternoon over Banff. You may be lucky enough to see wildlife on the street going up.

On a clear day you can view a lot of the Banff and its beautiful scenery. You can take your car a lot higher than where I was but even where I was will give a view to look at for a while. Not much seating arrangements or car parking space but if you do manage to get one then enjoy the view of the Banff tourists and it's beauty.

Lovely view of the whole valley from Mt. Norquay lookout. We randomly planned to go over to the Norquay ski area and to our surprise we found this lookout that we didn’t know in the first place is a lookout. We liked the spot, clicked couple of pictures but it was later on that we realized it was actually Norquay lookout. A fortunate stroke of serendipity.

Our wedding planners daughter was the one who actually recommended this ride! It’s a short 8 minute ride up to the viewing deck, and worth every penny! The views of Banff are gorgeous and it wasn’t even busy while we were up there.

Beautiful view of Banff just up the road from the highway!! Great spot if you are a local or visitor. Only draw back is the road is a switchback with blind corners. But the payoff is a great view and mountain goats!!

Most definitely worth the short trip up for the view. If your unable to go hiking but really enjoy nature at its finest do yourself a favor and make it a destination point while your staying in Banff. On your way up you'll get to see some wild life from squirrels to white tail deer to mountain goats.

One of the best place to smoke up. The vibes are always chill up there and it makes for a nice walk once you park your car. It’s most definitely a must do whilst in Banff.

Very nice spot and the road up is pretty twisty. The view is stellar. Not much parking even though it was a weekday and there were quite a number of people.

Amazing viewpoint where you can see all of Banff and the Bow Valley. You can see the Bow River, Vermilion Lakes, Mount Rundle, Tunnel Mountain, the Fairmont. It’s a beautiful place.

Must stop. The views are incredible. We also drove up to lodge and hiked to the overlook which was well worth it. There's bears around so be careful when hiking on Mt Norquay.
