I didn't taste any different than 40 years ago. I came quite often with my family when I was young. Tenderness and robust flavor all stayed the same for many decades. Line pretty long and longer every time I visit. Full of foreigners. Recommend for taking togo.

Don't expect any major service when you visit this place. It's a very basic, very genuine, very honest stewed pork rice place, tucked in the alleyway. It's not surprising that they got the Michelin Bibs this last many years, as it's as honest as the meal gets. Queue up, get a table, point at the menu, and they'll serve you the items thereafter. Some people do point at everything on the menu, and you're welcome to do the same. Personally, I'll suggest getting a plate of rice minimally, and add the stewed pork and skin if you're into some meat like myself. The trotters ain't for everyone, but if you're into some fats/collagen, it's a very good add on. Mix your meal up with the chilli that they have on the table, where the tangy taste cuts through the fats and the sauce. Only downside, is how they don't serve any vegetables; if not it'd make a perfect meal to me.

Since I was a child, this place will be the first thought when it comes to ‘stewed pork leg’ as I regularly went there with my father. When time flew to the year that owner of this restaurant has passed down to younger generations, the taste would follow to its recipe but the service is worse or maybe worst. It seems like they are not willing to serve any customers both dine-in and takeaway. The behaviour that I experienced was not great as the taste of their food. The price is super overrated, the quantity is less than expected. I would never return to this place again.

The Thai pork leg rice stands out as the finest choice, owing to its exquisite tenderness, rich flavor, and delightful taste. Notably, it comes at an incredibly affordable price point. The ambiance exudes a charming old neighborhood charm that I genuinely appreciate. And the chili packs a fiery and intense heat 😅

The meat is very soft, and the sauce is flavourful. The mixed organs are acceptable. No porky smell. We will visit again. 😊

Went there by taxi, arrived early morning on a Monday, around 9am, plenty of seats available. Fast service, food was mediocre, the pork trotter was tender, and not greasy, but nothing to shout about, not worth the trip if you're not around the area.

This pork knuckle is quite heavy for breakfast but the taste is similar to Chiu Chow way to eat pork with plain congee. Slow cooked pork is so soft!

I was in the mood for some typical Thai food and found Kha Mu Charoensang Silom just five minutes away from where I was staying. Arriving around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, I noticed the long line of people waiting to taste "Kha Mu" or Stew Pork Knuckle, a clear sign of the shop’s popularity. Do note, that it’s cash only here; I had to walk a couple of minutes to an ATM at Assumption School to withdraw some cash. However, the line moved fast, and I was seated within about five minutes. I ordered a mix of lean meat & skin fat and one offal, both in small portions. The taste was satisfying and met my expectations, especially with the Thai sauce adding extra flavor. Unfortunately, they didn’t include garlic, which I like. The meal was reasonably priced at 140 baht, with small portions costing 60 baht each, rice for 10 baht, and water for 10 baht. (The big one in the picture cost you about 2xx baht, the tourist who joined me at a table ordered it.)

So many reviews have been written on this multi award winning restaurant and to be here and try it in person is just an amazing experience. Pig Knuckle Rice is a must try but do grab a few sides along the way. Pls come early or expect to queue like crazy. I Will be there by 11am and that should be just 30mins of queue. Gets crazy by lunch and sold out by 2pm.

Very nice braised pork knuckle, if you like braised pork knuckle. It’s a lot of pork, so get a half portion per person. The menu (which is also in English) would benefit from having some kind of non-pork sides just to offer diners a break from the braised pork monotony. If you arrive before 9am, getting a table and a knuckle is no problem. Some may find pork knuckle a bit much to face for breakfast, however. Best of all, Kha Mu Charoensang doesn’t appear to have been ruined by its many Michelin ratings.

By the side of a small little street, off the main road. Got there early before the regular crowd and markets open. So was served, and got a clean table easily. The pork knuckle melted in my mouth. Loved it. How good was it? Well, the guy sharing my table saw me enjoying 2 plates, he got up and asked for an extra dish and rice. Both our plates were clean when we finished. And of course the tart sweet vinegarish chilli made it even more appetising.
