I stayed in Bangkok Centre Hotel during the State Quarantine. My experience was great so far. All staffs in the hotel are very attentive, friendly, and very willing to help you. Most important thing for this 14-day staying is of course FOOD. I didn't expect much as the hotel is not a 5-star hotel or so. However, the food was DELICIOUS! I enjoyed every meal they served and even ordered more food from them very often times (especially Thai desserts and some appetizers). I feel like a pig waiting for food every 8AM, 12PM and 5PM (lol). I'm sure I gained some weight! The price of additional food was not so bad if you want to order more, also ($2-4 per dish). The room was nicely cleaned. I have allergy to dusts and I had no issue staying in this hotel. No dust was found on counter top or floor so no Benadryl was needed. All bedsheets and towels were cleaned properly. The room had hair dryer, fridge, TV (not a smart one but if you have HDMI cord, you can link it to your laptop and enjoy Netflix.) Their beds are comfy to sleep in. A/C worked well. For those who come here for the state quarantine, they had enough shampoo and body wash but you have to bring your own body lotion hair conditioner, and of course facial cream. They provide you 2 cloth masks and 1 tube of alcohol gel. They don't have microwave but they have an electric kettle so you can cook instant noodle/make instant coffee (hotel had MAMA for sale for 20 bahts/cup). They would give you only 2 sets of bath towels and bedsheets for 14 days during the state quarantine. I asked for another set of towels and they're ok. I usually wash my pillowcases every 3 days so I washed them myself. I had no issue with bedsheets as I normally change weekly in my own house so 2 sets were enough for me. You could buy cloth detergent (breeze powder) for 20 bahts/small bag for 1-2 times of use. They have doctors in the hotel to provide medical care if needed during the state quarantine. Some cons in this place: - The hotel is quite old. I know that they ran their business since I was very little. My family sometimes go to this hotel for a lunch buffet. Thus, you don't expect to have a fancy modernize vibes in here. The decorations were more like 60s-70s. I had no issue so far as long as they kept everything clean. - Some bedsheets and towels maybe old but all of them were clean and smelled nice. I personally like old cotton bedsheets as they're soft and comfy to sleep in. - Wifi was not stable during my stay. I guess because the hotel was completely full with people quarantining. It's better to bring your own portable wifi or use mobile data (I used AIS and turned hotspot wifi for my laptop.)

Pros- Really nice location as per connectivity via metro and rail. Not too far from the waterfront. Very competitive pricing. Very clean rooms. Has a decent restaurant and bar in the property. Has a nice and cosy swimming pool too. Cons- Equipment in the rooms are a bit outdated and the communication skills of the staffs could be a bit better, but that's understandable.

The hotel isn't exactly too bad like what the reviews here wrote. The rooms are not modern but it's decently sized and has the basic facilities. There are free bottled water but just no tooth brush. Toiletries like soap and shampoo are dispenser style. Breakfast is not super delicious but the spread is decent and quite ok! Overall the location of THey hotel is good and I enjoyed my stay here!

It’s a simple and clean place with affordable food and drinks. Gives you a 70’s feel. Happy to have spent 3 nights here. But do try ask for a room which window is not facing the main road is you may be able to hear the road traffic.

This was booked for us by G Adventures. It's not the nicest place. Rooms and common areas are a bit dirty and smells musty. The building itself is old and requires a makeover. Bathrooms were not well maintained. One of the taps wouldn't close properly and water was dripping all night. It was irritating. Breakfast was fine. However, location is convenient. It's close to the train station, restaurants and shops. Not too far from the Grand Palace and some other nice places. If you are on a budget and need a place for a very short stay, this place is ok.

Good location, very central, but nothing around, shops or restaurants. Old furniture on the rooms, the restaurant not on the level of a hotel of 4*. In fact is a hotel of maxim 3* also for Thailand. Nice staff, very helpful, well organized for groups check out. Not the same for check in, the front office are not trained for be faster. Near the hotel is a massage salon, I liked and I appreciated their services. Conclusion: good choice but only for small budget.

Young receptionists not very helpful or friendly, for their culture I thought they would have been helpful at least. The restaurant staff for breakfast and dinner very polite, helpful and very obliging. Rooms were kept clean and tidy and the room cleaners were very helpful and polite too.

Terrible hotel. Old rooms with aren't updated to modern standards. Very unfriendly employees and not a nice ambiance. I hated to stay here. There were no safetyboxes available on the room so they provide a safe in the lobby where an employee can help you storing your expensive belongings. When you lose the key you pay 10.700 baht. Also you need to make pictures from the minibar and make sure you use the free water bottles which are almost hidden instead of the 160 baht Vitens water. The pictures from the minibar will be handy with checking out because this hotel is famous for trying to make the customer pay extra. Breakfast was decent but again no friendly people. The pool was pretty nice. Also the hotel is always booked full with Chinese people, which makes the hotel very crowded. If you like friendly people I kindly suggest you to search for a different hotel. Also the exterior looks like it hasn't been painted for 25 years.
