This place and restaurant has been opened for over 20 years I must say. It is a family run restaurant. When I went there a few times, the owners were always there to greet and to serve the food. There’s several decor photos of the family with Famous thai people around the restaurants. It is quite neat. Lunch time is normally quiet so it’s a good time to go. The restaurant offer very fresh seafood than most seafood restaurants I have been to in BANGKOK (Somboon’s crabs can’t beat this place!) Classic thai seafood style from crabs to river prawns to fried fish to oysters. My favorite dishes here are the crabs with roe and also the clams. This place serves the best quality and very fresh seafood hence it is on the expensive side. Aside from that, I highly recommend this place if you are looking for good crabs! Food was good, but watch out with “market price” on the menu. Case you don’t know what that is, you’ll end up paying more than in a fancy restaurant in downtown Copenhagen. 980 baht for a small dish of fish - where the rice is not even included - is simply overpriced. 🧐

Good food, fair service. The giant river prawn is really impressive and it is very fresh. Stir fried fish babbles with Crab meat is very delicious.

You can eat the big river prawn here. No need to drive to Ayutthaya or Nonthaburi. The price is almost the same for XL size (600-700 grams). If you would like to impress your guests, this restaurant might be a good choice for you.

I came here with my girlfriends. One of them has eaten here since she was a little. It means that the taste has been very good since then till now. After my arrival to the restaurant, I’ve known now why it has been opened for so long effectively because the owner and servants are very caring of customers, well-trained and helpful. I really like and enjoy food especially fish, shrimp and oyster menu. Crab Fried rice was also very good. For a dessert, please don’t miss a mango sticky rice, the taste was good than standard. I highly recommend to come with your friends and colleagues.

Good choice to have Thai seafood kind of restaurant in the city center. Weekend lunch was quite empty. The place has been there for ages. The price is much more above the average of local cooking. Out of the 3 dishes ordered for 2, fried rice was quite good. The fish was a little fluffy, especially when we pay at this price.

Nice place with great service and good food at cheap prices. Had dinner here twice and i quite enjoyed it. The sticky rice with mango was especially nice and the bbq pork is a real treat. Many good fish options also and there is also some vegetarian alternatives. I had a 3 course dinner at both occasions just to try out different dishes.
