A two starred Michellin restaurant offering authentic Southern Thai food using local ingredients. The place is notoriously known for being hard to reserve, in my case I was lucky enough to get a booking. The food is serve in 3 main parts, the prelude, main courses, and desserts. All of the dishes is perfectly cooked with a nice and friendly staffs to help enhance the dining experience. In term of tastes, every dishes is pack with all kinds of flavour, while not holding back on the spices. So for those who can’t endure spicy food, I would recommend telling the staffs. Overall would recommend if you can book it, keep in mind that parking on location is limited.

There are not many times in my life that meals have made me speechless. Sorn was that and more. From start to finish there were so many flavours, so many different tastes and so many different delicious paired courses with amazingly matched wines. We felt truly honoured to be able to get a booking at Sorn after not being able to travel for years. It was truly worth the trip from Melbourne and I’ll no doubt be telling all my friends to stop by here if they come to Bangkok. It’s hard to pinpoint a highlight from the dishes. There was so much variety and so many flavours. We appreciated Chef Supaksorn coming to tell us a bit of a story - it really was a special occasion and one that I will remember for years to come.

Sorn With 2 Michelin under its belt and ranked number 2 on Asia’s best Restaurants no wonder it is the most difficult restaurants to book in Bangkok. Reservations once made cannot be altered, and deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances. Supaksorn 'Jongsiri focuses on south of Thailand cuisine and ingredients. The cuisine in that region is more spicy, in fact, very spicy and so is the cuisine in Sorn. Spiciness hits you after you finish the bite. Yet the food is creative and tasteful. The dining experience is 3 hours long with 28 courses. The service is top notch. Rating is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

Wow what an amazing journey. The appetizers were just out standing, I love the roller coaster ride of spicy and sour and sweet. Main courses starts getting a little heavy but still the variety and depth of each curry is mind blowing. It's a big dinner, lots of food, so go with as empty a stomach as you can muster. You will leave full and joyous.

SOOOOOOO GOOOOOD. My top 3 rated and favorite places to go. Second time back and both times we had an overflow of super awesome food. They do a unique take on southern Thai cuisines - dishes taste strong and really spicy (make sure you inform them if you can handle spicy). Remember to leave enough space for main course at the end and their finishing touch on local desserts are so good too! Almost impossible to book but if you do get it - just come don’t even think about it. Totally worth every baht.

The best experience for fine thai dining i have ever had. Food was brilliant and top quality ingredients from thailand. The chef is really skilled to created such foods. I really have to say an unforgettable dining experience. Well done. Great for couple or group of friends or even business dinners. Location in downtown but the soi is very small parking is limited.

A dining establishment serving fine Southern(Thai) cuisine. Appetizers are bite size and extensively feature Southern ingredients and modern interpretation of classic dishes. Was highly enjoyable. Main course focused on refined traditional Southern food with rice which is very spicy. We requested milder dishes and some dietary request, in which the restaurant accommondated well. Desserts were classical Thai desserts, served in petite four fashion. Service was excellent, and the meal was generally enjoyable. The dessert were a little weak, but it may be the limitation of Thai dessert. Parking is very limited, and it is recommended to park at Hotel close by. Reservations are very difficult to get.

Come hungry as you will be served a MASSIVE amount of food. Top quality from a to z, presentation 100% and attentiveness from staff the same. We really enjoyed our meal here that took us about 4 hours to complete. Some of the dishes were quite spicy - something I personally enjoy a lot - and very genuine towards the southern cuisine. I was working about 6 months to get a table and I will have to say it was absolutely worth it. If you get the opportunity - you should dine at Sorn.

Gosh, I was so full by the second main but I persisted. My experience here was incredible. Loved every dish, even the spicy crab curry that caused me trips to the bathroom. Just looking back at these pictures are making me salivate. No fancy ingredients - just top quality Thai local and seasonal ingredients executed to perfection. Definitely a fine dine experience to remember.

Love this place. They are very detailed oriented regarding every ingredient putting in each dish. The taste was very delicious. If your spicy tolerance is not that strong, tell them you need the lowest level of spiciness. Make you book in advance.

Excellent, tasty and refreshing adventure experience at Sorn! ❤️ Service was interactive and very attentive which made an entire experience really wonderful. Food was fantastic even though some of the courses were tiny bit too spicy for my standard, however they were ready for that and served megical coconut emergency cups, which were distributed every time to deal with spiciness. Love the concept and entire evening was fantastic! Highly recommend this spot! I know Sorn has "only" 2 michelin stars but I'm giving them ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for our experience! Thank you

With most highly revered or awarded establishments the expectations can be simply too much to keep up with - or in reality the hype is unattainable. After the rigmarole process of getting a table here as a traveller including the stress of missing the incredibly brief application window (not to mention the fact there's even an application with frankly too much private information required by a restaurant - and that's all this is) I was firmly expecting to visit Sorn and feel disappointment of an expectation set far too high. Brilliantly though, I didnt feel disappointment at all. From start the finish the service was impeccable, attentive and personal. It rarely felt like too much and being avid travellers my wife and I like to walk as much as possible when travelling to get a better feel for a town or city but to our surprise as we turned into the road for Sorn following google maps a golf buggy pulls up asking us to get in. It was at this point I knew we were on to a great experience and it truly delivered from there. The menu was delightful and inventful without going too off piste. The explanation of each dish and where the ingredients came from was education and entertaining - even the presentation of the ingredients was delightful with our server offering us hands on experience with numerous raw ingredients before we got to enjoy what the chefs had done with them. The ambience of this hotel with tables scattered across multiple levels and rooms was comfortable and inviting. Sorn truly deserves its recognition and applaud for its fantastic menu and staff. If you are lucky enough to get a booking do not pass up on this chance. Satisfaction felt nothing short of guaranteed.

Had an absolutely mind-blowing dining adventure at @sornfinesouthern – hands down, one of my most unforgettable experiences! 🍽️🌟 Securing a spot here is like winning the foodie lottery – they're proudly flaunting 2 Michelin stars. Sorn's specialty is southern Thai cuisine, sourcing its star ingredients straight from the region. Being coastal, seafood takes the spotlight on their menu, with some dishes packing that signature spicy punch (Southern Thai cuisine = spicy goodness!). The freshness of their ingredients and the way they transform local flavors into a refined dining affair is just breathtaking. I savored every single bite so much that I wanted to stand up and give a standing ovation non-stop! 😄 The only downside? I left feeling gloriously stuffed after the full-course indulgence! 🤣🦀🔥

This is by far my second favorite Michelin restaurant in the world apart from Central in Peru (3 Michelin stars, Top 50 restaurants of world), so I must say, this is absolutely a must visit even if you need to take a flight to Bangkok. All the dishes were memorable, and the flavors were varied: a spicy one would be followed by a palate cleansing lighter flavor to help level set the flavors. What this restaurant did really well was leverage local flavors from southern Thai to create a theme of food uniquely Thai, and that helps it get it's well deserved 2 stars. If you are looking to book Michelin restaurants in Bangkok, book this one first! (trust me, been to a few of these in the area). Warning: food can be spicy! But they provide coconut powder to help drown it. Tip for restaurant: I think the story telling is missing to get it to 3 Michelin stars. Having a consistent theme and story talking about each foods origin and packaging it together would definitely push the experience higher. Recommend the chef to visit Central in Peru to learn how they do it to snag their 3 stars. You are close :)

Sorn deserves all the recognition it is getting. I’ve tasted a lot of Southern Thai food and Sorn’s is on my list of memorable dishes I’ve had, particularly its curry. Its service is impeccable and not over the top, allowing us to have quiet time to savor the food and have intimate conversation.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Sorn and it was nothing short of a 5-star experience. The 20-item course meal was an incredible journey of flavors and history. Each dish was not only of excellent quality and high standards but also intricately prepared, with fascinating stories about the historical use and significance of the ingredients. Among the array of dishes, a few stood out as my personal favorites – the red curry beef, green curry chicken, the rich coconut soup, the clear soup, and the tiger prawns. Each dish was a masterpiece in its own right, showcasing a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The service at Sorn was impeccable. The hostesses were very attentive, well-informed about each dish, and added to the overall dining experience with their knowledge. The servers were prompt and efficient, ensuring a seamless flow through the extensive course meal. The restaurant itself is a hidden gem. From the outside, it disguises itself as a high-end residential home, but once inside, you are greeted with an elegant interior decor that exudes sophistication and class. In conclusion, Sorn offers a unique and memorable dining experience, blending culinary excellence with cultural richness. It's a must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine dining at its best.

4 stars for food and service. A sizeable menu of southern Thai fine dining. Double Michelin stars for 3 years running and well run restaurant lead by an owner cum chef. Highly recommended to all foodies. Experience Thai cusine at its finest. Maitre D' Khun Mimi is super cool. $$$$$▪︎

Sorn was one of the most difficult restaurant we have booked as it’s online reservation is full all the time. We were somehow able to book it for my birthday through a friend with good connections. When we asked our hotel concierge at the Kimpton Hotel to book a taxi there, the concierge was so surprised that we could get a table there. She told us Sorn is the hardest restaurant to get a table in Bangkok. However the food was definitely worth the difficulty. Every single dish was wonderful and brought different flavours and spiciness. The spice level start low and slowly increased with each course, and just when we thought we could not take anymore spice, then comes a dish that took all the spice away like magic. It rebooted our tastes buds for more different flavours and spiciness. Courses were beautifully plated with additional showpieces of each ingredients used in every course. Service was of the highest standards, efficient, friendly, quick and quiet. The only point they missed was that i am left handed. Design is luxurious and beautiful. When you have a well designed waiting room for the restroom, you know they are serious about their design. Please dress up nicely and elegantly as respect to the level of service and design of this place. Location is not close to any bts or metro. However they have a golf cart to bring you to the nearest bts after your meal. One of the best fine dining experiences we ever had. They even gave me a birthday cake and it was really good cake. Not the cheap low quality cakes you get from other restaurants as an afterthought. It was one of the best birthday dinner i ever had. Toilet is luxurious and clean.

What great opportunity to be spontaneously invited to this fantastic dinner by a guest I merely met an hour before. Sorn is the Southern Thai Cuisine fine dining gem with #TwoMichelinStar located in the middle of Bangkok. It was a beautifully orchestrated dining experience. What an extraordinary gift! 🙏🏼♥️

Pretty extraordinary experience with almost two dozen carefully-crafted, marvelously-structured Southern Thai dishes. Not the most comfortable dining area but warm service and enjoyable theatrics with maps of Thailand, displays of fruits and the like on the table during the meal

Damn expensive, but worth it every Baht. All the dishes were flawlessly presented and little pieces of art. Each dish was a journey of pleasure, not just the the flavors but also his combinations of different textures in each dish. The maitre’d came and gave great details about each dish in both English and Thai. We had a party of 8 and there were 2-3 servers working in tandem to make sure everything came out and was served at the proper temperature. The one downside is parking. They have only 3-4 parking spots so if you don’t have a driver you’ll need to park at a nearby hotel and take the golf cart to the restaurant. Truly a must go for serious foodies, but be prepared for $200+ per person.

Amazing experience with close to 20 different courses, definitely worth it. Sorn has been rising rapidly in the last five years (from Thailands best, to Asia’s best and now Worlds best) and it is clear why. As a European, there who so many ingredients/dishes which I had never tasted before which made it such a nice evening. The staff was very helpful and talked us through everything, also displaying the ingredients on table alongside the courses. We could choose between ‘original’ or ‘mild’ spicy and went with mild. This was more than spicy enough for us and I would advise to do the same if you are not accustomed to southern Thai hotness. They also offered a 5 or 8 glass wine pairing and went with 5. Although the fills were modest (would say 10 glasses a bottle), it was okay. In general I would recommend to not place too much focus on this as it is almost impossible to pair wines with these extraordinary courses. The only downside from an otherwise perfect night was that we were seated at the back of the restaurant, in a separate niche next to the bathroom and staff exit. This made us feel a bit unwelcome and miss out on the general ambience. Although westerners in Asia are (perhaps post COVID) often viewed as contagious I would have expected it to be different in such a nice restaurant.

Definitely worth Michelin 2 stars. It's been a great and unique fine dining experience. From where we were seated, we were able to see the entire cooking process. All dishes were handled with great dedication and care by the staff. Each dish is bursting with interesting flavours. Ingredients used are fresh and mostly sourced from the south of Bangkok, making the dishes even more authentic. However, do be ready to take in a lot of spicy food since dishes in southern Thai cuisine are predominantly spicy.

One of the best meals I have ever had right along side with Eleven Madison Park, NY and Meadowood, CA. Impeccable service. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Casual yet upscale. Every dish was just perfectly seasoned and executed by Chef Ice. It's worth the hassle to make a reservation here. It is expensive but it's worth for any special occasions. Who would have expected Thai cuisine could be at this level?

One of the most exquisite dining experiences of my life, if not the most exquisite. Beautiful, peaceful interior space. Jeffrey, who guided us through the meal, was superb in every way. I do not know if it is possible to specifically request him, but try! All other staff were also delightful. The meal was long (about 3 hours), which was expected, but did not drag and was perfectly paced. Onto the food: to say the 28 courses were magnificent would be an understatement. While maintaining a coherence, each dish was unique, inventive, and mouth-watering. The “roller coaster" of spices was just that — it kept me on my toes in the best possible sense. Even toward the end, not one dish felt unnecessary or repetitive. A true feast for the senses. It was also fascinating to see the raw ingredients and to learn about the origins of the dishes. Having eaten at most of the finest restaurants in NYC (and throughout the world), Sorn truly sets a new standard. Can't wait to return! Come hungry!!

An out-of-this-world culinary Odyssey. a well deserved two Michelin Stars wonderland! 🌟 Explosive fireworks of flavor, a dance of familiar and new tastes that left my taste buds doing a happy jig. From start to finish, it was perfection. The ambiance was as private as a secret garden, and our waiter? A master storyteller! As the night unfolded, we got backstage passes to the incredible ingredients that made our bites unforgettable. 👏 A standing ovation to Sorn – a culinary masterpiece that left me craving an encore. 🎉 Can't wait to go back for another round of this gastronomic symphony!

Food was decent but not happy about how they manage the car parking. Very few parking spaces in front of the shop enough for 4-5 cars. They said we can park at the hotel nearby but the parking fee is expensive and the customers had to pay. For a restaurant with this price they should have provided a free or even a discount coupon for the parking.

Southern Fine dining food experience. Couldn’t agree for of two Michelin star. All served made from a good combination with local ingredients. Everything is very exquisitely. 3 parts served: Prelude, main course, sweet. Staff is very well-trained, full team arranged of smooth timing spend perfectly. My impressive is about service and their intention, menus made for particular day, plate choosing and design, staff, place decoration. My favourite dishes are flathead lobster shrimp paste and stinky beans, southern beef curry Roti, crab roe yellow chilli paste. The foreigners may experience too spicy in some dishes, but I recommend to try original taste. Strongly recommend.

The Best Meal and Service i experience ever. The Food is really amazing, every single bite you have is an explosion of flavors. Congratulations and thank you Chef Ice for creating such a beautiful and awesomely mind blowing delicious food. Not to mention how good the staff’s are from the moment we arrived they are all very welcoming, all the way when they seated us to the table. Emi you are such a gem - very very knowledgeable and top notch service. I will not end this without commenting that the restaurant is very beautiful, i am a sucker when it comes to the toilet area - you can actually sleep there! It is better than the 5 star hotel toilet. I will definitely come back to this magical place where i feel at home and at ease. Sorn deserves another star. For me this is the Best Restaurant in Bangkok helmed by the Best Chef Ice himself.
