My expectations were quite high for this place, given the super high rating. I thought the food was pretty average and the prices were quite high. The location is not the best. It is quite far away from the sukhumvit area, and it's quite a bit of a walk from a BTS stop as well. The atmosphere was okay. And the service was okay, but for the money that was charged, there's better vegan food to be had. Also, if you plan to use a credit card, there will be a 10% service charge, it was mentioned. Restaurants with lower prices gladly accept credit cards. Overall, it was expensive and not very customer friendly, all things considered.

Very nice place for lunch or early dinner. High quality ingredients and good taste. Most importantly they don't use MSG. Service is friendly and fast. They charge a commission for payment with card so I recommend paying by cash. Also, prices are above average so keep that in mind.

The best vegan burger i had over 20 years of being vegan. After almost 9 years i still remember that place, the owners have created a magical atmosphere there. Wish to be back one day, that place worth whole trip to Thailand.

Best vegan places not only in Bangkok, but probably from anywhere we have been. The food is amazing, tasty and healthy. The owners are very friendly, attentive and positive. Since first visit, coming back every day! Highly recommend. Prices are also very good.

Great place. Owner had a lot of memorabilia around the resturaunt from their run across America in 80 days. Interesting to read their story, and food was awesome. Felt homemade and was very tasty. Smoothies and club sandwich and teriyaki burger were very good.

"Best vegan food EVER, treated like family" The food was varied and delicious. I especially loved the Japanese Curry with the freshest of spaghetti. It is a wonderful place to eat and just relax. Drinks and desserts all amazing!! It was so good and was even more impressed with the healthy, delicious food and warm and friendly atmosphere.

Absolutely unique place, an authentic Japanese take on an American diner. Everything vegan, nutritious and delicious. Well-prices for the quality. Many dishes you won't find anywhere else in Bangkok. The owners have fantastic life stories.

This a very small, cafe, which is hiding not so far from the main street. The interior reminds me of 1990-s homes (at least it was similar in my country) and it gives you the family like you came to visit your grandma. Inside the have 2 floors with a slightly bigger eating area in the second one. They have very interesting old style tea pot sets and also a book which was wrote by the founders of this place. I can't say that food was 5 out of 5 for me, but I'm quite picky about it. However, it was interesting to have an English breakfast which is 100% vegetarian. So if you are in this area, you might give it a try.

I’ve started my vegan lifestyle several months ago and been looking for vegan food. I was recommended about this cafe by a friend of mine. It was impressive ~ the owners, P’ Neung and P’ Pauline are so kind and friendly, good vibe&enegy. The decor was also nice ~ vintage vibe. The food was GREAT! I ordered Vegan Japanese Curry with pan-fried tofu as toppings. Very yummy. For drink, i went with iced soy milk mocha..tasted good as well. Will go back again for sure. P.S. I also ordered the curry and whole-wheat waffle for my tmr lunch :P

Such a pleasant experience! Everything was fresh and delicious, exactly what we needed. Cozy atmosphere and great hospitality; if we were staying longer we would absolutely come back. Had the fresh green salad (sesame dressing is SO GOOD!), club sandwich, Japanese curry, and some iced lattes. You can tell everything here is made with love <3

5 ⭐️ Great full vegan menu with labeled gluten free options. They have a super menu from breakfast selection (don’t miss the waffle!!), to mains like burgers, pasta (rice, soya pasta as well), salads, bites.. The restaurant being opened for 10 years is really cozy, the staff is a happy welcoming one, and it just makes a delicious food even better 🫶🏼 thank you!!

Foods 10/10 Atmosphere 10/10 Service 10/10 Great vegan restaurant in Bangkok. Owner was very kind and helpful. She helped us to park on the street. Gluten free foods are also available. Highly recommend it here if you want decent plants based food. Smoothie was creamy and tasty. No sugar added. Gluten free carbonara was thick and  savory. Japanese curry with brown rice . It was delicious with large chunks of vegetables. The club sandwich is a combination of crunchy snow cabbage and avocado. Everything is a big portion. They closed on Tuesday.

Hidden gems! Hard to find a cozy place like this in such chaotic city. Definitely recommend to those who look for a great quality of meal. It could take time during some busy hours on the weekend so please be patient. The owner is very friendly. The price is not cheap but happy to pay😊 Will be back again next month!

Such a great vegan place! I highly recommend this place. Don’t come here if in a rush. But a good dining experience is meant be enjoyed slowly.

100% vegan & healthy homemade. Easily the best vegan restaurant in the city and maybe Thailand. All food is prepared after order with fresh ingredients, which means it takes time to get your order - but well worth it. Everything we eat was delicious, fresh and felt very well done. We eat at a lot of 100% vegan restaurants but this is something different, it’s a mom and pop shop with very friendly and interesting owners. We can’t recommend enough coming here of you are vegan/ have allergies. It is a place suitable for severe dairy/ egg/ fish & more allergies.

The food was amazing, the service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was so cozy! We tried the teriyaki burger and Nam tok with brown rice. Both were so delicious! The cats (/owners) were a true highlight. The owners let us stay when it started pouring rain and even gave us their umbrella. We will never forget their kindness and the love/care they showed us. Do support this local vegan business!

Eating at Bonita Cafe and Social Club is like going to your grandma's house and getting served with the utmost love, care and attention-to-detail. The owner, cook, and server truly care about your experience and they put love, cleanliness (which is hard to find), and quality ingredients in the food. If you are not just a vegan, but someone who values non-greasy, high quality, fresh ingredient meals, then this is the place for you. Plus they have so many options to choose from! You won't get bored. Both times that we've come here so far (yes, I am currently sitting in Bonita Cafe writing this review) we've ordered the Japanese curry with white or brown rice and a side of pan-fried seasonal vegetables (they actually look and taste steamed, not fried, but are still really good). We also ordered 2 whole wheat pancakes with coconut whipped cream and coconut syrup which was so fluffy, heart-warming and not too sweet. I love that they don't use microwave or low-quality ingredients in their food preparation. That's hard to find in BKK. But anyway, the pancakes are very much so worth the splurge (in case you're watching your carbs). It tastes like they use freshly ground whole wheat or just good quality flour to make the pancakes. You can also opt for gluten-free pancakes or waffles instead. We also ordered fresh juices which were delicious. Mine was guava, apple, spinach, ginger and pineapple and my husband had the beetroot, cucumber, carrot, lemon and pineapple juice. So good! Definitely make your way here if you are vegan, vegetarian, Ayurvedic, or even keto/paleo because it will be so easy for you to make good eating choices here no matter plant-based eating preference you have!

I've visited Bonita social on numerous occasions over the years, both alone, with a couple of friends, and with the Bangkok Vegan meetup group. The service is always warm and friendly. K and Nueng have created a homely vegan restaurant that invites you to stay a while. My parents, who aren't vegan and can be picky eaters, enjoyed the food a lot. The owners are always willing to accommodate dietary needs by removing onions, gluten, mustard, etc. They also run a running club and sell Vibram running shoes at the restaurant. If you're lucky and like cats, you might see the 'real' owners ;)

While it might not the best vegan food in Bangkok, I most enjoy it for the atmosphere there. The service is impeccable and there's just a positive atmosphere thanks to the individuals who run the place.

What a beautiful place, uniquely decorated and run by some extremely kind people who you sense have been living an interesting life to the fullest - would love to hear about it one day if they would be willing to share 😊 The place was brimming with paraphernalia from their extreme USA run of 5000 kms over Route 66, very impressive and fun to feast your eyes on the many picture and Route 66 plates. They had a lovely and elaborate menu - including a heartwarming section about their cafe and social mission. Made us very happy 💚 This time we opted for Western food: the vegan hot dog plate and scrambled tofu / club sandwiches which were nice and kept us fulfilled for the rest of the day. Complimentary filtered water was offered and (re)poured in abundance too. Also noteworthy: there was a very cute cat barricading the door when we were finished with our meal. Cat didn’t want to be touched today, which of course we respected, and it was still a treat to witness the majestic lil beast in all its fluffy glory. The sign supporting Ukraine outside was also a nice gesture. Oh and when asked, the owner kindly advised us to a good hospital (because one of us had suffered a severely sprained and swollen ankle), even walked out with us towards our Grab car and wished us good luck, which was very sweet. We wish these wonderful people countless happy and healthy days, and good business. We definitely hope to return one day 💚

As I was in the area and feeling hungry, I decided to give this place a try and now I can't stop raving about it. About a minute away from a typical busy, loud and crowded Bangkok street, a calm vegan oasis awaits you. I was greeted by lovely music playing and a cat sleeping peacefully on a chair. I was offered a glass of water and the menu, from which I chose the Bonita Club Sandwich. I was (happily) surprised by the large portion. It was also very tasty and obviously made with love! It's a place to eat, drink, but also recharge. I ended up staying for a bit, just enjoying the quiet, soothing atmosphere with light music, now two cats and a very friendly staff. Even if you are not vegan and may not be looking for a vegan place, I highly recommend coming here.

Delicious food, chill vibe, very friendly owner. I absolutely loved the veggie burger! Met an expat who comes here every day and he raved about the curry. Will have to try that next time. Definitely worth a visit here. Also mentioned and recommended in Lonely Planet

We search for a restaurant that is 100%vegan and close by and we found this one in Google so we decided to go. It was our best culinary decision in Bangkok. We were already in some vegan restaurants in Bangkok and it's definitely the best one. All the food and the ingredients are home made, healthy and allergy friendly. The restaurant itself have a cozy homing atmosphere. The place is run by interesting and inspiring people who telling a bit of their story by the menu and the design of the restaurant. It's a place with soul! The cheeseburger and the waffle are highly recommend. Enjoy 🙂

Best Restaurant we have been to in Bangkok. The owners were extremely nice and the food was fabulous. Had a teryaki Burger, I can only recommend this one. We were at the second floor and it felt like home. Loved it!

Sweet staff/hosts. A quiet Saturday afternoon meal. Tasted delicious but the teriyaki burger was a touch mushie and the burger tried to free itself from the bun when I picked it up. It obviously didn't want to go in my mouth. Little rascal. So, I ate it!

Very welcoming owners. Though I had to have the human helpers translate meows for me. Delicious tea and a great little vegan cafe. Inspiring atmosphere. The owner K San has ran across the United States. There is a book he wrote(available on Amazon) and samples are available to read while you sit in the cafe. The sample of the book is uplifting even to me, a non-runner. Best part: the cat who sat next to me Pictured is K-San, the man who ran Route 66, and wrote the book!

Very very good vegan food. You can find delicious vegan food here and you won't feel you miss any meat. The decoration makes me feel like at home. The owner is so kind and can explain you the food so well. Better to pre-order the food before you come if you come with big group.
