First
of
all,
I
have
to
preface
this
by
saying
that
I
hate
leaving
negative
reviews
on
a
public
platform
because
I
know
that
businesses
are
still
recovering
from
the
years
of
Covid,
but
this
really
had
to
be
said.
We'd
booked
Bliston
for
a
one-month
stay
during
our
transition
to
Bangkok
while
shipping
for
our
boxes
are
enroute
to
our
new
apartment
here.
Despite
this
obviously
long-term
stay,
we
were
not
warned
or
adviced
beforehand
whatsoever
that
massive
demolishment
and
renovation
works
were
happening
on
the
upper
floors
(16
and
above)
of
the
hotel
during
this
duration
until
we
were
checking
in
at
the
front
desk.
We
have
been
put
on
the
15th
floor
right
below
all
the
drilling
and
hammering.
My
partner
is
lucky
enough
to
have
an
office
to
escape
to,
but
I
work
from
home
β
and
that
is
just
an
impossibility
now
when
the
whole
apartment
echoes
with
demolition
work
from
9am
to
5pm
everyday.
So,
everyday,
despite
paying
for
a
SERVICED
APARTMENT
where
one
would
presumably
be
able
to
stay
at
and
work
from
comfortably,
I
have
to
leave
the
apartment
from
9am
to
5pm
*everyday*
to
work
in
a
random
cafe
outside
to
avoid
the
noise.
My
partner
has
pleaded
the
case
twice
now
for
us
to
have
our
rooms
switched
to
one
on
the
newer
side
without
any
success.
To
add
salt
to
the
wound,
I
have
been
suffering
from
major
allergies
in
this
room
with
swollen
and
watery
eyes
and
a
symphony
of
sneezes
upon
waking.
While
this
may
also
be
due
to
the
pollution
in
the
city,
we
suspect
the
construction
and
subsequent
dust
has
also
flowed
down
unto
our
unit.
So,
long
story
short,
beware
while
booking
between
now
and
March
or
so
because
you
WILL
be
unfortunately
subject
to
the
same
noise.
The
only
saving
grace
so
far
are
the
lovely
staff
who
have
always
been
very
friendly
and
kind,
but
unfortunately
"no
more
rooms"
for
us
to
switch
to.
Two
weeks
to
go.
Edit:
ALSO,
we
booked
because
there
was
meant
to
be
a
washing
machine
in
the
apartment.
There
isn't.
I
have
to
trudge
down
every
other
day
to
5F
to
use
the
communal
machines
there.
To
use
those
machines,
you
also
need
to
pay
an
additional
charge
at
reception
to
purchase
tokens.
Now
I
am
properly
reading
the
other
reviews
and
am
seeing
that
some
rooms
are
indeed
equipped
with
an
in-room
washing
machine?!
I'm
sorry
but
if
you
have
a
booking
for
ONE
MONTH,
wouldn't
you
be
putting
those
guests
into
rooms
where
they
can
comfortably
do
laundry
in
the
sanctity
of
their
own
space?
I
am
furious.
