Buddha & Pals is the best jazz music venue I've ever visited... anywhere! This cafe-by-day transforms into an intimate live music venue after dark on Tuesday through Sunday nights. The ambience is relaxed and intimate with a strikingly eclectic design that feels both upscale & casual. From the crystal chandelier to the 'chandelier' of glassware (that's actually used for serving drinks) it's obvious that every detail of the space was curated to enhance the overall vibe. The bar menu is packed with creative cocktails and an extensive wine & beer list. A variety of food is available to order as well. The staff were all welcoming, friendly & efficient ensuring great service even throughout the live music performance. If you're planning to check out one of the jazz nights, be sure to make a table reservation ahead of time.

This place is a must-visit for weekend jazz nights. Great crowd and great vibes. Drinks and cocktails are good, well crafted. The space is very nicely decorated, I love old buildings. Staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. Dinner menu is 6/10. The food was decent but honestly it could be better. I really liked 1 out of 7 dishes we ordered, which was the spicy seafood pasta was quite good. Overall it’s really great here. I can’t wait to be back for weekend jazz nights.

Really a kind of hidden gem in Bangkok‘s nightlife. Of course, prices are accordingly, but still affordable. 5 stars for the atmosphere and the life music. Staff could be a bit more attentive sometimes. But we definitely enjoyed our evening there.

Excellent cafe - tucked away and quite the surprise. We had coffees and tried their pasta which was perhaps the best we’ve had in Bangkok. The ambience was stellar, with a lot of attention to detail to the decor and an extra special tough of a sweet kitty cat occupying their window table snoozing. Definitely would recommend!

It's a good bar if you're into the live jazz band scene here in Bangkok. We wanted to grab a quick drink before making our way to the nearby Muay Thai stadium, and was pleasantly surprised by the vibeyness of this spot. They were quite generous with their Hendricks for our G&T, which was pleasantly surprising. Coupled that with how people do dress up, it's quite a good sight and overall experience. Especially so on a weekend evening, this makes for a good option, vs the usual crowded hangouts in the main Bangkok areas.

All in one place - food, drinks, live music. Their wine selection is surprisingly good. A hidden gem in Bangkok old town area. Please book a table to avoid disappointment. Parking is available on the street after 8 pm otherwise there is a lot inside the temple next door ( temple gate close at 11 pm).

Spent an awesome evening at @buddhaandpals – a spot that transforms from a cozy cafe during the day to a lively jazz bar at night! 🎶 I've been here for daytime vibes, but this visit was all about soaking in the nighttime energy. Live jazz every night sets the perfect tone. 🎷🎵 The drink choices are fantastic too, plenty to pick from. Just one catch: it's the sole hangout spot in the vicinity, so for round two, a little area-hopping is in order. 🥂🌃

Very nice cafe for day time and so relax and fun in night time. I love the atmosphere and decoration here. Coffee is nice, Italian food also good. In the night, it become a Jazz Bar with nice cocktail and food. Recommended to visit both night and day. It is one of my favourite bar in Bangkok.

Wonderful service, delicious food, and great drinks. If you enjoy Jazz music, this is a place for you. In my opinion, they offer best Jazz in town. They play jazz music on Wednesday - Sunday night starts at 8 pm. I recommend making a reservation before going there because it can be very busy. I will definitely come back here again when I'm in town.

Enjoy another part of Bangkok, old city far from the touristic area. This restaurant is located in the old historic building next to the Nang Loeng Market. Lovely Bobo decoration style and a nice cocktail. An order can take a while, but we can enjoy the view of the canal outside. We will come back for the homemade pizza here.

Went there for a Saturday night concert.. No so impressed with the first band Drinks are pricey and taste so so. French fries smells weird like they didn't keep the ingredients well and it mixed with others. Reservation needed and each table has the minimum spending. Great music at the end though No parking space. Park along street side.

We booked 1 tables here a day in advance for a Friday night. We personally preferred the vegetarian pizza and their truffle pasta. We attended the nighttime jazz bar, and so food was a little costly (around 130 for a coke, 300 for pastas and pizzas, and so on) but it’s understandable because through the food, you’re also paying for the live band. And the live band was amazing. If I’m not mistaken we had the privilege of listening to Nurse the voice SS4 and the band, where they played some jazz songs and some pop song alternatives as well. All in all it was a wonderful experience, all we could’ve asked for, and even a little more. It was our first time going but through reservations they were very patient and informative with us as well. From the homely location to the great decor and aesthetic, the Jazz bar is definitely memorable in the best way. We had an amazing time — and definitely will be going again!

Beat jazz bar in the city ❤️ went with my girlfriend around 8PM and listened to incredible live music and drank pricey (but delicious mixed drinks and craft beer). Kind staff and atmosphere like a speakeasy. Such a dope spot

Fantastic spot for live jazz. The room is large and can accommodate some large groups. Food is mostly Italian, such as pasta and pizza. The wine list is fairly extensive, as is the cocktail list. The band playing the night we came was awesome.

The place is so popular, so make sure you make a reservation. The food is not worth the money, the service slow and not very attentive and the cocktails are not more than ok - so the value of the things you can buy here is definitely not adequate. But… how can I rate my experience then with 5 stars? Because as soon as the music starts everything else doesn’t matter anymore. Order a decent wine and maybe even the cheese & ham platter and it’s almost impossible to spend a better Saturday evening in Bangkok. The vibe is priceless. The whole setting including the acoustics makes this place to a place you definitely want to go again. It’s soul treatment. Let’s keep it as simple as that. Thanks for this lovely evening. :)

Just fulfilled my Friday night with a nice jazz bar. Buddha & Pals is the combination place for coffee lover and jazz music lover. During the day time, you can come and enjoy a cup of coffee. After 6.00pm, the coffee shop will be turned to jazz bar. Here’s so crowded so I would recommend to serve the seat. Food is fine. I love Pizza and seafood spaghetti with garlic. So authentic!!! The cocktails is so great! Last but not least, jazz music is so good. If you come here by your own car, you could park at Sommanut Temple and walking around 100meter to the restaurant.

We happened to wander inside during our final afternoon in Bangkok and couldn’t believe how nice it was. Incredible decor, nice relaxing jazz music and a cool cat (literally) perched on one of the tables. The Caramel Macchiato was very well made and tasted great. The service was good and the prices reasonable. Would recommend if you’re looking for a good coffee!

Cool jazz in old-town style buliding. Very nice atmosphere but a bit crowed. Better to book before going. Plenty menu of fancy drinks. Light food were good but pricey. Great music! and sometimes you can enjoy watching a group of swing dance.

Cafe by day and a Jazz bar by night. Since we had dinner elsewhere, so we came her for jazz and wine. Booking in advance is required. On Thursday, they play Blues, and for Fri-Sat, there will be Thai Jazz band playing. For Sunday, there will be a jazz performance by foreigner band. Peak day is Saturday. If you plan to drive to the place, there aren't many parking spaces (parking on the roadside). Highly recommend to take a taxi or MRT (Samyod station aka สามยอด, exit 1 and take a taxi or Motorcycle taxi).

It might be unfortunate that we did not get good experience. It is occupy but not busy. Few tables were left without cleaning so we ended up have a seat that seems to be the cleanest one (red onion still left on our table) Hot cappuccino is way too hot and not really good taste. General drink (coffee, chocolate, and vanilla syrup) is okey; please order less sweet. Overall, we are quite disappointed.

Very nice atmosphere. Then place is beautiful and fits into the vibe of the Old Town. When you sit by the river you see the Khlong and university on the other side. Coffee is good, staff nice and they play jazz. Perfect for a Sunday brunch or afternoon coffee. A bit pricey but ok.

What a hidden treasure! We fell in love the moment we stepped inside. Everything is perfect: the music, the people, THE VIBE! We arrived around 9 p.m. on a Saturday night, and the place was packed. Fortunately, we only had to wait less than 10 minutes for a table. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The live band was excellent and groovy. Will undoubtedly return. You won't want to miss this place if you're in the neighborhood.

I miss the music but know it'll be back again soon. This place is special regardless. It's just beautiful and they've done a great job of making it so. While I spent a day working (coffee spot by day) folks just come in to take pics and this is a spot where you're not surprised in them doing so. And when music does return the sound both from the artists and the space itself just carries awesome all around. Great group making it run which always helps to keep it warm and welcoming.

Came in during the day, so it's cafe mode. Lovely place with a really quiet, cozy atmosphere. Love how the inside is dim with some contrast light, accompanied by some nice, smooth jazz songs. The food and dessert were good. We had pizza and a carrot cake. Recommend them both. The drinks were nice too.

One of the best place for jazz night out. I don’t know why but every time I visit, it reminds me of snowy jazz nights in other cities. Atmosphere is great. Cocktails are okay and good for sharing wine as group.

Awesome jazz cafe/restaurant with an intimate ambience serving good cocktails and great food. Attentive service. The star of the restaurant is the nightly changing jazz acts. The Friday night we went Nurse and her jazz cats were playing and we were seated right at the front within touching distance to the musicians. Nurse had an astonishing voice and the jazz cats were masters on their instruments. Spoke with the musician on trumpet after the gig and was surprised to learn they don’t actually practice together for their gigs, and just improvise on the night! The charcuterie board was excellent and a great selection of wine. Will definitely return again when in Bangkok

Was a nice stylish jazz bar. It's a Cafe during the day. I recommend the pizza, especially the gouda & roasted pear. Soft drinks are a bit pricey (130 baht per can) . Great musicians and events at this place.

The decoration is pretty, the vibe, the singers all can make you feel super cozy and romantic. The price is reasonable. Would love to go back there again. We went there on Sat, and booked the table in advance. Went straight at 7pm, the bar started to get a bit crowded but the band started at 8pm

This place really gives cozy homey vibes, great for a long hangout with friends. Lively catchy live Jazz in various subgenres with great vocals, music isn’t overly deafening. Strong and creative cocktails, good service, refill snacks. Advance booking is highly recommended. Watch out! drinks are on the expensive side.

Lovely drink and interior designs, I like the spacious spaces, even though there are many influencer wanna be around but it’s still wide enough to chill inside. The drinks are surprisingly nice and tasty, they have got many cool unique flavors!
