I went here twice. It seems to be they serve the same curries everyday. I had the green and red curry. The green was a bit better in my opinion. It's a very popular shop so my advice is to arrive right when they open at 3pm do avoid lines. I paid 50baht for 1 portion and you can grab a free water from the red box. Great place to try Thai curry where locals go. Add the Chinese sausage too because it was very good

Date of visit: 30 April 2023 (Sunday) Time over location: about 2pm Spending: 50 baht I think there are many review of this shop. So I am going to write about “how you going to order when you want to dine in” - find the owner or helper, tell them what you want to have - find a seat (note: there is no table) - the shop helper will send the food to you - after finish, put the plates on the big round container filled with water - pay the shop helper or owner I had curry beef and Chinese sausage Overall. The curry is creamy. And the sausage is those canton type

3 types of curry with no nonsense and all is equally delicious depending on your type of meat preferences. I personally love its green curry since the chicken meat was so tender. I spent 200 baht for 3 portions of delicious plates of curry with rice plus one portion of blood chicken, and it was simply the best money can get. Ordering was so simple since the guy taking orders sufficiently speaks English.

Dining here is an experience itself. Got curious about this place after seeing it on a couple of Flogs. The curries weren't mind blowing but the yellow curry was quite enjoyable especially with Chinese sausage. The Chinese sausage is a must, perfect pairing. Love the overall vibe of the place. Price wise is extremely economical.

They open at 3pm but their famous curry is already sold out by the time we got there at 6pm. But they were still very nice to pour some curry sauce on our rice so we can try it. We ordered a different dish which was also delicious. And the curry sauce was amazing, we'll be back next time. Price was very affordable despite the Netflix popularity.

Tucked in a quiet corner of chinatown bestowed a no frills eatery lined with only red plastic stools along the sidewalk. Popular among locals in the area, they offer a variety of thai curry dishes. Service is fast despite the huge crowd. The food is served to your seats after ordering. A good local spot to try.

The best Thai curry rice. Steaming hot rice, with different types of curries. It was too tempting till I forgot to take the pictures of what I had ordered. I had ordered the Pork Panaeng, Green Curry with Fishballs and Sweet Pork. It was a good combination of sweet and spicy. You can drench your rice with the different curries but I chose not to. Seating is on plastic chair in a covered patio by the road side.

A must try in the Yaowarat area. This street food hawker has been around for decades and is very well-known for their curry. They usually have a few to choose from, all cooked in massive vats, so just take a look and decide which is your fancy. The portion is very generous for the price, and the atmosphere something cool to experience. Check out our channel for a full review of our experience: Hungry Two Travel.

It’s really Thai curry with rice and sides. We got the yellow curry with pork with pork ribs and green curry with fish cake , braised egg and Chinese sausage . It’s really hearty fare, there isn’t a indoor sitting space or restaurant but just stools near the stall, owner is keeping the flavours original from her father and making the price very affordable to cater for the masses. I had the green curry , taste was fragrant , spice was light . Not spicy .

Tried the local specialty, 杂菜饭, at a corner of the street – it boasts an incredible curry flavor with three options: red, yellow, or green. Opted for yellow and green varieties, added extra 猪血 (Pig blood), and it was superbly delicious. The warm serving enhances the experience – a must-try if you're nearby.

Another must try street food that is very delicious and also a little bit hidden. You should try their beef/chicken curry. They offer 2 kinds of meat for 1 plate. Feels good and homey to eat. It is still street food, so dont expect to much for the atmosphere. But still feels homey

OUR FAVOURITE PLACE!! We came back to Thailand just to try this food again, the curries are delicious and only 40 baht (£1!). Make sure to add sausage on for an extra 10 baht. Only queue if you want takeaway, if you want to eat take a seat and someone will take your order. Cannot recommend enough

Absolutely amazing! Hands down the best Thai green and red curry I've ever had. We were promptly seated and our orders taken. Waiting on the little pink stools can be a bit daunting. The food arrived quickly and once you took your first bite you couldn't stop! Definitely recommend making your way to visit for the curry. The long queue of locals also speaks volumes!

Institution! Prices have not increased since the last time we came in 2019. 40/50 baht for some of the most tasty curries around. Not to be missed if your in the city. A special mention to the friendly male server, who is polite, calm and hardworking even to us tourists when he is flat out serving hundreds of customers. He goes about his job with gratitude. Top man.

Go for the yellow pork curry or green chicken curry (chicken is bone in). All are amazing. There are no tables, just red chairs to sit on. Grab a seat when you can and they'll take your order. The standing line is for takeaway orders only

The most legit Thai-Chinese curry spot in Bangkok’s Chinatown (and in the world basically). This is the ultimate food destination for me in this neighbourhood, there is nothing like it. They moved from the road side into a smaller back alley/parking lot area, but this spot is generally no frills. You will sit on a plastic stool and eat a single plate with a spoon (no tables!) — and you will love every moment of it. Green curry is the best dish on the limited menu. Don’t forget to get Chinese sausage on the side!

Absolutely a MUST if you go to Bangkok! THB 40 for curry of the day with rice. Today they had two red curry with either pork or beef and two green curry with either chicken or fish. We got a red curry with beef and rice. It is a big portion, so you will not walk hungry away from here. Go, go, go!

It lived up to the hype! Great curry! I had the panang pork curry! It was so nice! Full of flavour, sweet, tasty, super aromatic and spicy! Only 45 bath!! Its great!

Why do other people's pictures look so much better than what I was served? The curry pots were almost empty and I saw them digging for meat, but as a first timer I thought that was normal. But now I feel I literally got their scraps. Green curry was yummy, almost perfect flavor, just lacking spice, so add your own chili. Red curry was mediocre. $45 baht a dish was good, it saves you room for Chinatown street food.

Finally visited this place & it was unforgettable - Will definitely revisit the next time I’m back. You basically choose from an assortment of dishes - they prepare different sets each day. We chose 3 dishes & paid only 68 baht! Super worth it for a really delicious, cheap meal. Highly recommend. Curry isn’t too spicy so recommend you add in the chilli in fish sauce provided at the side.

An inexpensive yummy local meal! For dining in, grab a stool (no tables here) and wait for the boss to take your order- he has amazing memory! Recommend the green curry (comes on top of hot steaming rice) and definitely add the Boiled egg in sweet sauce!

Incredible curry, must visit here if you’re in Chinatown. Was lucky enough to stop by while on the Food Tour . Everything we had was delicious.

Very friendly staff with organized queue. We had 2 plates of curry and they were both great. There’s this very fresh coconut taste in the curry.

Such a down to earth local experience! We have ordered the red curry with pork which just cost like 40 baht.. remember to add on the sweet sausage (臘腸) +10 baht cus it just lifted the dish to the next level! You grab a red chair in a back alley and sit with the locals with the rice served on your lap, simple and quick!

Simple delicious curries and rice. Authentic Thai food on the hot streets of Bangkok. A meal for two was a mere 80 Baht. Water was also complimentary. A must visit place for the true feel and spirit of Bangkok. Loved it.

Really nice curries! No tables, just a plastic stool. That's the best thing about it. No one dawdles, just finish and go. Their beef curry is amazing!

Accidentally encountered that stall after coming out from Wat Mangkon Kamalawat temple. There is a crowd queuing for buying package. When I approached, I had been asked if eating or togo. And very friendly uncle introduced me with 2 type of curries & other add on. Omg.. I tell you, it’s really really reasonable price for a meal ever I had in Bangkok during past 3 days. Just 60 Baht for a plate. Curry is quite tasty. Too bad, I stay quite far from China town. Else, I will try every dishes there until I fly back. Btw, if you use to meet uncle who take order from tourist, pls let him know I am not Chinese though I look like Chinese. He can use English instead of Chinese to me😂. Just regret he didn’t introduce me crab curry.. or I heard wrongly..

Simply amazing. Had the red pork curry while husband tried the green chicken curry. We agree that the red one tasted better. This is probably my favorite meal in Bangkok. The flavors are just perfect. It was like eating an unexpected comfort food while sitting in stool chairs in a random alley. Definitely a must try when in the city.

Simple no nonsense curry and rice. It's simplicity however hides an extremely flavourful curry that needs to be experienced. If only to sit on the iconic red stools and eat your food off your lap while smelling the big pots of curry simmering away on the counter.

The curry here is so good! I got the red beef curry! Just sit on one of the red chairs and place your order when they come. No tables. Eat and go! The queue was long but service was super fast, don’t expect a long wait when you see the line! Moreover, this curry gem offers more than just their fantastic red beef curry! With a wide array of curry options to choose from, there’s something to satisfy every palate. Whether you’re a fan of spicy delights or prefer milder flavors, this place has you covered. The flavors of the red beef curry were rich and aromatic, leaving a lasting impression on my taste buds. What I loved about this eatery is its no-fuss setup – simply pick a red chair, place your order when they come around, and indulge in the delectable dishes they offer. Despite the long queue, the service was impressively quick, ensuring that I didn’t have to wait long to savor my meal. The efficiency of the staff made the whole dining process smooth and enjoyable. It’s a perfect spot for those who prefer a quick and satisfying dining experience without the need for formalities or extensive waiting times. Overall, I highly recommend this place to all curry enthusiasts. The exceptional taste of their red beef curry combined with the variety of other curry options available, the efficient service, and the unique dining setup makes it a must-visit. Whether you’re on a tight schedule or just want to grab a quick bite, this place won’t disappoint. I can’t wait to return and try more of their delightful offerings. Bon appétit!

Nostalgic atmosphere, ordering for sit in meal is easy as there is a big poster on wall for you to point for the guy taking order. He is friendly but also don't take too long to think.. as there are other customers in line (sitting) waiting to order. 😅 The different type of curry (ordered 4 plates to share) tasted so good.. the chicken is tender. I ordered with fried pork. Great taste.. maybe we are hungry. 😁

No table just sitting chair to eat. The green curry is very delicious and warm meal. Pork, fish and chicken green curry is available. The soy sauce stew hard boiled egg is tasty. The local eat here. Price is cheap.

We came back multiple times whilst in Bangkok. The staff are very friendly and there is always a queue. We have tried all curries here and my favourite is definitely Penang or yellow curry. You can have additional sides such as an egg, sausage etc. you sit and eat with a plastic bowl on plastic chairs, real authentic experience. Highly recommend. Prices are cheap.

Wow. After 4 months in Thailand, this goes in my top 5 best meals. Unbelievable price of 40baht for the most yummy dish. Long line for to-go’s, nice worker found me a seat to sit at. It is just plastic chairs, no table. I would bring a water, there’s a 7-Eleven nearby! I ate quickly, It is an experience any traveler should experience!
