Mini ZOO is close to my home. That is such a nice atmosphere, all clean (including the animals). Free entrance with lots of parking places or places to park the bike. Don t hesitate to come! Definitely worth it!

It's a great place with some really cool animals. They also look quite happy here with somewhat sorry habitats. It's a good place to spend an afternoon. There are also many teaching opportunities for children. It is also great that there is no entrance fee, however, I can only recommend leaving a donation to support this wonderful park.

Sehr schöner Tierpark nähe Stadt Basel (kostenlos). Man kann gut 1-2 Stunden mit der Familie den Park genießen. Der Parkplatz ist sehr klein. Beim Eingang hat es ein Restaurant, Spielplatz und ein Karussell.

Einfach mal in Ruhe den Park mit den Tieren genießen. Die Anlage ist liebevoll gepflegt und bietet viel Abwechslung. Probiert es aus!

Free zoo working on donations, good place for a daily walk. Animals seem to be treated really good and have their space and quiet not parading for the visitors. Place is working on the donations from visitors and is really tidy and well kept. This is a place i would bring my kids to. There is alot of history here as well and it is documented around the place.

I had a lot of fun even that I'm an adult with no kids. I recommend visiting this place. The animals are amazing and it's free.

It's a small but free zoo where you can enjoy a stroll and watch the ducks, goats and donkeys frolic about.

Sehr schöner Tierpark ohne Eintritt. Es kann sogar per Twint für den Unterhalt gespendet werden. Es könnte noch mehr Parkbänke und Sitzgelegenheiten haben. In der Mitte gibts einen Kiosk wo man Getränke etc kaufen kann, sowie eine Toilettenanlage. Ein Besuch lohnt sich!

I visited the park which is great for kids and families. Then I walked the trails and along the river. It was really gorgeous!

I really liked the large ponds for the ducks and geese, very pretty! Most enclosures seem fairly big in relation to the type of animal that’s in it. The entry is free and the whole area is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, but watch out for the potholes! There’s a lot of parking space for bikes outside of the park but according to the signs you can take your bike inside as long as you push it.

Very nice zoo in Lange Erlen forest with European bison, red deer, wild boar, wild cats, and capuchin monkeys. Soon will host wolves. Great for children. Entry is free of charge.

It is my favorite place to walk, next to the river, beautiful routes for you and your pet, clean place, you have a piece of nature to escape the city, free entry to see the animals, such as bison, horses, etc. 100% recommended for the family, to go with children or with their pets

Einfa h ein schöner Ort zum besuchen, wir kommen gerne mit den Kindern hier her. Erst die Tiere beobachten und dann auf den Spielplatz...

Ein toller Abenteuerspielplatz für Kinder zum Klettern und Rutschen. Riesiges Kletternetz. Dann noch die künstlichen Stammhaufen. Durchaus anspruchsvolle Sachen dabei für größeres Abenteuer. Wasserelemente sind auch dort. Tipp: kostenloses Parken in den Seitenstraßen mit Parkscheibe möglich. Dahinter kostenloser aber liebevoller Tierpark für alle. Mit durchlaufenden Flüssen und zahlreichen Dingen zum Entdecken.

Nice animal park to spend time with the family. Free entry and large opening hours. Can get very busy on the weekends and the in-house parking gets full so you have to look for a spot in the streets.

Been there few times and if you got young kids, it’s a no-brainer. First thing first it’s free which is very rare in the area; there a small paying parking lot though. There is also a restaurant, a playground and a carrousel. But the most exciting part is obviously the range of animals : deers, ducks, wild boars, horses, donkeys, birds, monkeys, bisons and so on… Can be busy but it’s better to go early to avoid the crowd and actually enjoy the wildlife!

Restaurant offers good food and the park has various playground and activities for children. Needs more parking spaces. Parking is expensive.

Great place to come on a sunny summer day, it's free and relaxed. I recommend a look!

Great place for a long walk

We went to this place as a short stop for lunch in Basel. Was amazed that the zoo was free of charge. Even though the zoo is not the best we have seen but it is still worthwhile to spend an hour with children and then head to the nice playground. Spent more than 2 hours there.

Great park in the outskirts of Basel. See a variety of animals for free and enjoy a run or a nice long walk by the river or in the surrounding forest area. There are some attractions for kids, a restaurant and small kiosk. Best to go with warm sunny weather

We love this place. We have been going there since shortly after my ten year old was born. It's free entrance with lots for kids to do: nice new playground, carousel and go carts (these you have to pay for). Parking is at a premium so get there early or plan ahead). Highly recommend this place especially if you have children!

Great exhibit of mostly regional Fauna. Perfect to bring kids along.

Beautiful birds and wild animals

Great place to spend time with your kids. Free entrance. Paid parking available, however limited parking space. So if you don't get a space, you can go across the street and park on a blue lane for free for about max. 90 minutes. My son and I love it 💗 and visit once a week.

It's free and it's very near to our place. When we went there the chickens escaped and we're running everywhere. Now, I don't know what happened to those chickens, but they're probably still alive. The lion was very loud and you could hear him across the park. Definitely not a place to bring a four-year-old unless you want to scare it.

Great park to step by! Plenty of roads to enjoy a walk, watch the animals and spend some quite time. Fun for kids and perfect for families.
