Amlet's service at The Level restaurant was impeccable! From the moment we walked in, the staff's warm hospitality made us feel welcomed. They nailed communication, ensuring all our preferences were met. The ambiance was delightful, and the time we spent there was truly enjoyable. Delicious food, top-notch service - we couldn't have asked for more. A memorable dining experience! Highly recommend!

This Melia hotel, which has only last year been opened, sets the highest standard in Hotels worldwide. The Albanian staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. Albanian is strongly recovering from former times, the people are extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel has everything you could ever wish for. The choice of restaurants and food is especially good. There are more than enough bars, all giving excellent service. The Wellness facilities are excellent, and fully available. Go there, relax and enjoy being pampered.

We are staying at the Melia Durres for 2 weeks as a level guest. The hotel is beautiful with everyone catered for. We especially love the sports bar and every single one of the staff particularly Brikena. They are all super friendly, helpful and brilliant with our girls. This is the best bar at the hotel. Chilled atmosphere with good music & food.

At Level restaurant, Amlet and Fabio exceeded expectations! Their breakfast service was impeccable, and their dishes were simply delightful. The attention they gave us made the experience even more enjoyable. The flavors were heavenly, and their warm hospitality left us beaming with joy. We eagerly anticipate returning for more of their mouthwatering delights and friendly demeanor!

It was a perfect stay at Melia Durres. We were there in february with our 2 children and enjoyed it in every level. The hotel was gorgeous, the rooms were very clean and well organised. We were on the ground floor and had access to a patio with a gorgeous view. The food was delicious, the inside pool was big and clean. We enjoyed walks along the premises. The staff was very well manered and helpful. Would recommend it to everyone.

Title: "Unmet Expectations: A Detailed Account of My One-Night Stay at Melia Durres" I assumed 5-star hotels prioritize details, but my recent experience at Melia Durres left much to be desired. Upon entering our room, a surprising sight awaited us – a vacuum cleaner at the doorway. The questionable room cleanliness raised concerns, shared even by the staff accompanying us. An hour later, we received a "sorry letter" with candies, including disappointing macarons that fell short of 5-star standards. The indoor pool presented its own set of issues – uncomfortably cold ambient temperature, numerous beds cluttered with used towels, and a dangerously slippery floor, causing constant worry for our children. Adding to the inconvenience, the room's telephone was non-functional, and attempts to contact the hotel via my mobile were futile due to unresponsive phone numbers on the website. This compelled a 5-minute walk to the reception for dinner orders. Furthermore, despite Albania having only two mobile operators, Vodafone and ONE Albania, and Vodafone holding the majority market share, there was surprisingly no coverage in the hotel. Making a proper phone call became impossible. While the staff displayed generosity and a willingness to help, the overall experience highlighted a lack of organization and insufficient focus on details that a prestigious brand like MELIA should prioritize.

I really liked the staying there. Fabio at The Level delivered top-notch service with a side of delightful conversation. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor elevated our dining experience. He was very nice and helpful all the time.

A fantastic resort with a breathtaking view. The atmosphere was very pleasant, warm, and very family-friendly. The food was quite good, the service perfect, and the rooms were clean and very comfortable. An amazing staff who were always smiling and welcoming. A special thanks goes to Brikena at the sports bar, who was very, helpful and kind. Thank you, Melia Durrës!☺️

Many Pros & Cons for this first experience at the Melià Durrës Hotel. Being a new hotel and the fact we stayed in beginning of January (2024), some "cons" may be justified. CONS: - When arriving for the first time, directions and location indication signalling is weak. With such a big hotel you really need good directions for guests. - The indoor swimming pool floor tiles are slippery. A big accident hazard! My son slipped twice despite being very careful. - At the restaurant Casa Nostra, after checking the menu from the QR code we decided to order a few dishes, but when the waiter came, he said only a few thing from the menu were available: pizza margherita, simple pasta and butter and some salads. The kids were disapointed. - At the same restaurant, after delaying some salads for 1.5 hrs (at dinner), realized they hadn't noted/seen that part of our order at all. When realising, they were prepared in a few minutes and they added a pizza margherita for free to apologize. The pizza was much lower than the usual pizza quality in Albania and also double the price. - The room temperature was so hot that despite opening the window/door several times and turning the air conditioning off for the whole night, it was still hot. I guess the responsible staff is not yet aware of the way it works. PROS: - Very spacious hotel with lots of areas to pass the day. - Spatious rooms with spatious bathrooms. Very comfortable beds. - Breakfast very good and staff very polite and helpful. - Everything is made of real good quality materials in all details. - Beautiful SPA and pool area. - Staff seems generally well trained and competent, with a few exceptions. To be continued...

We really enjoyed our stay at Melia. The facilities and the atmosphere was amazing but there were a few things that could be easily changed to make the experience even better, as below: - the temperature of the indoor swimming pool was too low for the kids to comfortably swim in - the indoor swimming pool had only one set of stairs on one side so would highly suggest adding a stainless steel ladder on the other side which would make it easier for older people or pregnant women to get in - the breakfast at the Merkado restaurant was great however the space was too small to accomodate the flux of people so ended up waiting for 10min for an egg - we really liked the Sports bar and my sonewanted to play table football but unfortunately we found out the ball was lost so we couldn’t play which was a pitty and the staff could easily keep spares - the kids club area was big and bright but it was full of scribbles on the walls and all the color pencils were scattered around while the older kids were playing running around on top of the tables. Would be great if there was a better organization for kids and the classes set to happen really happen - in the evening event it was a shame that we couldn’t make card payments - I would also suggest adding more labels with directions especially at reception as for instance we struggled to find the lifts I really look forward to seeing some of these improvements and would be happy to come back in the summer. All the best!

In theory, a lovely place, but sadly it’s trying to run before it can walk. Staff need a lot more training to reach international standards. Nice, sizeable rooms when working properly. We had to change rooms three times due to a faulty door, no working tv and such heavy use of chemical cleaners that even with the door left open for 30 minutes, it was unbearable. Other problems to note: 1.Steam room not working and jacuzzi too cold to stay in. Young children freely wandering into the sauna/jacuzzi area which is dangerous. 2. No menus on restaurant tables. Only QR codes. When we asked for a menu, the waiter gave us his phone. 3. Poor quality food for starters. We couldn’t eat the calamari it was so tough and the salad was not up to standard either. When new food was brought out, existing plates hadn’t been cleared. 4. Filthy beach. The small part of the hotel beach had been cleaned, but needed further cleaning. On either side of the hotel the surrounding beach was so littered, I wanted to cry. Plastic everywhere. 5. Slow service at reception when we asked for replacement rooms/services. We had to phone multiple times to chase things up. Only the hotel manager was quick and delivered service to an international standard. 6. Relatively poor selection for breakfast compared to other international hotels. We had to send croissants back. 7. Mini bar was empty in rooms except for bottles of water, and despite a huge bath, there was no bubble bath or milk for tea/coffee. Basic rooms don’t even have coffee making facilities. Lovely hotel and great for Albania, but a long way to go before it hits international expectations.

The activities provided by the Kids Club were both entertaining and educational. My kids enjoyed a wide range of activities, from arts and crafts to nature explorations. It was great to see them having so much fun while learning new things in a safe and supervised environment. The facilities at the Kids Club were impressive, with a dedicated play area and age-appropriate toys and games. The team ensured that the space was clean, well-organized, and safe for children of all ages. One standout feature was the flexibility of the Kids Club hours. It allowed us as parents to enjoy some much-needed relaxation time while knowing that our children were in capable hands. Overall, I can't speak highly enough of the Kids Club at Melia Durres. It made our family vacation stress-free and enjoyable, and my kids are already asking when we can return. Believe that at this point all parents agree that there is nothing more precious than the well-being of children, and I thank the girls of the kids club for the care they have shown to the children, for the warm atmosphere they created there inside that place. I wanted to write this appreciative comment only for the kids club girls because they deserve to be publicly thanked. Thanks to the wonderful Kids Club team for making our stay unforgettable!

Came to Melia Hotel with my family for a long weekend. The hotel is beautiful and so are the amenities and the rooms. We were welcomed with such hospitality by the reception team the moment we came. When we walked in our room was already set up for our family so that was great to be able to immediately settle in. There were moments when the restaurant customer service was sub par, especially given the quality of the hotel, as it related to food coming out together and them forgetting some orders, but they did fix it and were receptive to feedback. We had the most fun at the Sport Bar in the evenings. The team and bartenders at the Sport Bar, specifically Brikena and Albert, were AMAZING!! The moment we sat down they were so welcoming and fun and helped us discover new cocktails and created such an awesome atmosphere! By the end it felt like we were regulars with them even though we had just met. The cocktails were awesome as well! Overall this place is worth checking out, just don’t trust Google maps to take you there…but that’s a whole other story.

😠 I don't know about what 'good rooms' people are talking about. We stayed one night here, and we got room 105. OMG, the horror. The water is running from the walls, next to the electricity, the outlet was pulled out. Everything is falling apart. People working here are fine, but the building itself i...
