This was a very nice chateau. The self guided tour was actually very pleasant. I love old cellars and seeing dusty bottles of goodness is really cool. The self paced tasting was pretty incredible. There were attendants if you had questions, but they let you "taste" as much as you wanted. A little dangerous for Americans but we kept it classy...mostly. We did talk to a sommelier about wine and ended up doing a private tasting with some very cool Irish folks. The wines were waaaaaayyyy out of our price league, but it was an awesome experience. We did buy a pricey bottle for our 1 year old to open on her 21st. She better enjoy it! Overall this place is classy, nice, ancient, and not too stuffy. Highly recommend it for the value.

We had an absolutely perfect time here. The tour is very interesting as the cellars are just enormous. The highlight, for us, was the tasting at the end. We had an almost hour long conversation, tasted some great wine, explored all their options, and couldn't have asked for more. Worth a visit.

Such a nice wine cellar to go taste some burgundy wine! For 18£ pp you get to visit the 5km long cellar, taste 6-7 wines and get to keep a nice tasting glass at the end. I absolutely loved it and the people explaining the history and taste behind each wine were so nice and passionate! Definitely recommend

At first, we weren't expecting much from this visit, but we had one of the most interesting winery tours. Patriarche has a huge underground infrastructure, through tunnels and caves that go below the streets of Beaune, and we're built centuries ago. You do the tour for yourself, and at the end, you join a nice tasting with very friendly and enthusiastic sommeliers from the winery. After the tasting, you can buy the wines right there and also at their shop upstairs. Their chateau is located very central in Beaune with proper parking and very convenient. It's worth the visit.

The wine is outstanding and the cellars/caves fascinating. The sales crew does not have it together. We paid for our six bottles down in the cellar, then went upstairs with our receipt in hand to leave. The clerk started to charge us again even though I showed her the receipt. When I protested she called downstairs to confirm. Yes, we did pay. Now we just had to pay the shipping; again I showed her the receipt. Another phone call. Yes, we had paid; all the while the line is backing way up. Then she said we just had to pay for the tasting. I asked if we had to pay since we bought several bottles of wine. Yes, they still charge. That was a first!

You can feel the history of the walls of these cellars! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the sommelier was very informative during our tasting. Definitely worth checking out.

Amazing experience! Such a treasure in the heart of Beaune, we loved learning about the varieties of grapes grown around the Côte d’Or and tasting six wines. We left with four bottles and no regrets!

That was fantastic. You have a couple of historical presentations before going through the caves. It is very impressive. The tasting experience was brilliant, thanks to Malika ! What an experience.
