Oh my gosh. Well - we have all had experiences that are absolutely unforgettable. This is one for me. Absolutely outstanding food and incredible service. A small but mighty menu that appears to change to the season. This restaurant is ran by a couple, and we were treated to so much information from one of the pair on what we were about to eat. I had pigeon (for the first time in my life) and was shocked by how tender it was. Other stand outs were the apple dessert and chocolate mousse. And, my goodness, I’ll never forget the mushroom and poached egg I had to start. Honestly talking about each dish seems like a waste of time. It doesn’t matter - I don’t think you can have a bad plate be served to you here. It’s that good. Make a reservation right away!

Quite a special place. Initially the menu looked a bit small but the quality of the food was excellent. The wine list is extensive and we received fantastic service for a busy place. The server said she chooses all the wines herself, visiting most of the wineries personally. I would go back for certain if we had more time in Beaune. Top 3 meal on this trip. I had the pigeon which was excellent and wine choice that was very unique. Loved it.

An excellent experience and meal! I would love to return. The dishes were beautiful and flavors of each dish melded together like a spring symphony. The wine options were refreshing and diverse. If you can snag a reservation 100/100 recommend!

An amazing restaurant. My only regret was not having three stomachs so I could sample all their offerings. The server, Agnes, is helpful, friendly and a bundle of energy. She alone served 18 customers and yet made everyone ha. She recommended a good local wine to go with my meal. I ordered scallops and slow cooked pork belly. Truly delicious. The restaurant has under 30 seats. So reservation is a must.

This is hands down one of the top three restaurant experiences I've had in my entire life. Staff: I think it's owned by a couple, one works as the waitress and the other as the chef. We didn't meet the chef, but the waitress was so personable. We loved our conversation with her! Drinks: Great wine choices. I started with a gin and tonic, they use a local Beaune gin that really good. Food: Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong. We had one appetizer to share, two starters, two entrees, and desserts; each one was equally as good in their own ways. The chef really knows what they're doing. Ambience: It's simple yet fun! It's filled with cozy furniture, a few pieces of fun art, and cozy lighting.

The best meal we had in a two week trip to France and Italy. The food and service was exceptional. It's top quality French fine dining in a more relaxed setting.

We visited Beaune as a family of 5 with the youngest daughter of 12 years. We wanted to have dinner and read lots of lovely reviews so we decided to see the place. We didn’t have a reservation so we weren’t terribly surprised when they said they are fully booked ( we came there around 19:10, the restaurant opened at 19). I came back 1,5 hours later as I wanted to book a table for the next day - when I arrived, only three tables were taken and the rest was untouched - set for dinner, untouched napkins etc. the waitress told me that everything was “fully booked” for the next day( Friday) as well and for Saturday AND Sunday, nothing available. As the restaurant was still empty as we asked about the reservation it seemed as if the problem was not necessarily the places available but unfortunately the prejudice directed towards foreigners. If you are looking for a lovely place to have a family dinner or a date with your loved ones. I would not recommend wasting your precious time, positive emotions, and a nice atmosphere on trying to simply be welcomed here at “ Le Relais de Saulx”.

We had such a wonderful lunch at Le Relais de Saulx. We have previously dined at Charles and Agnes' restaurant in Paris and when we discovered they had relocated to Beaune we fitted a visit into our itinerary. Such wonderful attentive service and perfection on every plate. An impressive wine list as you would expect in Beaune. Merci Phil and Heather

We had a beautiful evening, accompanied by Michellin-level cuisine and perfectly paired wines. As it was Tuesday and outside of the season, we initially had the whole place for ourselves. Can't get more romantic than that! The service was excellent and they paid great attention to my girlfriend allergies, making sure that none of the dishes contains anything dangerous. Can't wait to visit again!

Wow wow wow. Seriously no words to describe this meal. Impressive. Exquisite. Delightful. Service was a treat with a lovely hostess who explained each dish perfectly and had lovely wine recommendations. Me and my boyfriend arrived at a last minute reservation and we can honestly say this was one of our favourite meals. We took the chef’s four course menu and couldn’t have been happier. Do yourself a favour and come here. The beef and mussels and white tuna were all absolutely delicious. Come here and thank us later :)

I normally don’t take the time to rate a place unless it’s exceptional. And dinner here was just that. It’s run by a lovely lady who kindly was able to accommodate us last minute as we had no booking (thank you so so much). The menu was absolutely gorgeous. Flavours that I wouldn’t dream of pairing, made for the most delicious surprise. We had raw white tuna with watermelon which I still think about to this day. The taste and presentation were delightful. Then we had mussels which normally I don’t like but my goodness they were phenomenal. Juicy, tender and served alongside tomato water which blew our mind. Next up was the main of beef and my oh my. I can safely say this was one of the best meat dishes I’ve had. Perfectly cooked and the perfect amount. Dessert was a chocolate concoction which ended the meal just right. All paired with delicious wines. The service was sweet and we will 1000% come back to Beaune just to eat here.
