This place was amazing. The atmosphere was clean, lively, with a good vibe. Perfect for dinner with friends and date night. The margaritas were amazing, very good bartender. Def can mix a drink. The food was cooked perfect not dry or undercooked for the chicken, salmon, or the turkey sandwich. The chocolate cake is very big, I suggest sharing this item. It is quite large and not a one person dessert. Go check this place out food seasoned perfect and a great vibe with drinks.

Our first dine in at Hazelwood 👌🏻 We got a chicken wings and fish and chips. The food is really good and it is big portion. It is flavorful, tender not dry! The fish is soft and perfectly cooked!! The banana cream pie is sooooo gooood i don’t know how to explain it but you guys need to try it! ☺️

I was staying at the Marriott, so I walked over to Hazelwood for lunch. I had The chicken tacos and the house made tater tots. It was amazing! The tater tots were so incredibly good! I had two drinks. I can't remember what the first one in the wine glass was called, but the second drink the pink one was called Paloma. They were both very good. In fact, it was such a good meal that when my family arrived that evening, we all walked back over to Hazelwood and ate dinner there. The girls had lobster mac and cheese which was out of this world, and me and my husband tried the salmon and the minute chicken. Probably the best chicken I've ever had. My husband said he loved the salmon. I would definitely go there again and I highly recommend it. It's a little bit expensive but well worth the price. And I like the atmosphere of the outside seating.

I was staying at a hotel close by and when I arrived at the hotel to check-in I caught a whiff of this establishment. I thought I should give it a try, so I did. The food was delicious. The service was also superb. I tried the mac and cheese balls for the appetizer. I also got the rotisserie chicken sandwich. Both were awesome. If you are in the area, you give it a try.

The lobster bisque was completely amazing. Chunks of lobster, very creamy and with the traditional flavor, just as expected. We ate at the bar as it was busy, but were still waited on with attentiveness. The bartender introduced herself and the other bartender and said they'd be taking care of us. Such a great customer service touch that made the meal even more enjoyable. If you're staying near the Mall of America, this is a great dining experience for amazing non-mall food, classy decor, and friendly people.

Great experience at this cool restaurant! Awesome drink menu with interesting options, great staff and the food was incredible. Our waitress was fantastic..her description of the Chicken potpie was of a warm blanket straight out of the dryer. We will definitely be back. Chicken potpie and Rotisserie chicken were excellent and the brie cheese curds...wow.

A friend suggested this place and had great things to say. So my friends and I decided to check it out on a Tuesday night. It was a phenomenal experience. Hosts were friendly and our server, Marco, did a great job with recommending dishes for us to try. Our water was never empty and got new plates, utensils, after every dish. We got the Rotisserie chicken, buffalo wings, soup, salmon, and the fish and chips. All tasted fresh and worth the money. In terms of COVID precautions, all workers wore masks and tables were properly distanced. 5/5 would come back and will continue to recommend to locals and visiting friends.

We did their Thanksgiving meal service. They were incredibly helpful when we picked up the items. Heating it all was an absolute breeze. It was all so delicious. Everyone was so impressed and delighted. Excellent price, too. The creamed corn was amazing. And the bread pudding was the best desert I have ever had. We will definitely go back and if they do the Thanksgiving deal next year, we will do that as well.

Wow, best food near the mall, no contest! We tried the potato chips with onion dip and brie cheese curds, both were excellent. We tried the French dip and short rib burger; burger won. Super juicy, perfect sweet and savory balance. Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful time at Hazelwood Food and Drink! The service was outstanding, and the food was phenomenal. For an appetizer I had a cup of Chicken Wild Rice that was so creamy and good, it was a delightful part of time while waiting for my entrée. As for the main dish I ordered the Mediterranean Angel Hair with pulled chicken which is beyond exquisite, the dish was truly cooked to perfection! This is a wonderful place to eat and have a drink, and its within walking distance of the Mall of America transit station. A very nice place to enjoy meal in private or with friends!

The food and service here are impeccable. My fiance and I split a rotisserie chicken and one of the pasta dishes and both were absolutely delicious. The ambiance is nice and the decor is modern and well kept. The staff was very professional and attentive. Would happily recommend my friends and family to eat here!

Hazelwood is a must place to eat when in the Minneapolis area! For a restaurant located next to Mall of America and in-between hotels, you wouldn’t expect it to be so good. There’s plenty of outdoor and indoor eating. Reservations are recommended because Hazelwood gets busy all hours of every day of the week. I personally think the brunch menu is better than the dinner menu. There’s a parking garage which helps on those busy weekend nights.

We had a family service at Ft Snelling yesterday and went to Hazelwood afterwards. We had a large group (15+). The waitress did a great job especially since initially, we weren't her only table. Great atmosphere and food too!

This is a must stop if you are in the area overnight. The atmosphere is so lively and yet comfortable to be in with any attire, well maybe not shorts and flip flops. The place was packed when we arrived for a late dinner as it is between two hotels. The decor is modern but with a home like feel. The staff was very friendly and did not give you a feel of being unwelcome or a burden. I would consider coming back to this place in a heartbeat. The food was WOW! The brie cheese curd appetizer was the best cheese curds we have had to date. The outside was a crisp outer shell, yet the inside was like a cheese fondue. They went fast and we almost ordered a second order. We are glad we didn't as the main meals were just as amazing. The Beef and Blue was a perfectly cooked 6 oz sirloin adjacent to a loaded salad. The sirloin was flavorful and so tender. The Tuna Poke Bowl was what I have had at other places but it was called a Ahi Tuna Bowl. The tuna was raw, so you choose wisely. The tuna was drizzled with a wonderful dressing that made the tuna flavor pop. The other items in the bowl were basically a fresh garden with some crunchy seaweed, which is called "kim" in Korean. Definitely a healthy option for those wanting to have a high protein meal without the guilt. The other dish, which was not pictured was their fish and chips. The fish was walleye in a thin and crispy shell. The fish was cooked as to not be mushy or dry. The chips (fries) were very good for fries. Everyone was full at the end but we had to try some dessert. The one recommended by our server was the bread pudding and was it a good choice. The desserts are in the $8-10 range but they are super good. The bread pudding was huge! It also does not have raisins and is replaced by pecans in the toppings, which we appreciated. The raisins sometimes overpowers the rest of the other flavors in the traditional bread pudding, which was not the case here and we could taste all the various flavors. The bill for two steak salads, fish and chips, tuna bowl, Brie curds and bread pudding was ~$111. It's not your everyday meal but when you are out for a special occasion, it's in the acceptable range. Definitely a repeat for us.

MN2022: I understand why this place receives such high reviews for being so close to the Mall of America. We had small plates, drinks, coffee and dessert (the wife is really not a chocolate cake person, but she simply loved their chocolate cake). Everything was very good. Service was pretty quick. We were there around 10:00 and it was really busy at the bar and with families at tables, but there was no rush to get us out.

Busy, bustling eatery. There is a full bar and a good selection of wine and beer, including local brewers. The menu is pretty broad. The brie cheese curds are absolutely great. The place is in constant motion. Lots of friendly staff moving food and drinks from an efficient kitchen. It gets crowded and there can be a long wait if you come at a peak hour. Despite all the tables covered, food and drinks come pretty quick. It's not quiet, I wouldn't call it romantic, but the atmosphere is pretty airy and friendly.

We planned on eating at the Mall of America when we got into town but the restaurant closed at 8:30 so we had to scramble and find something else. Super glad that we did because we have never eaten here. I will definitely go again. It's described as an American eatery but honestly it's so much more. I expected more of a sports bar vibe. But it's very modern and has a really cool ambience. Lots of different spaces and places to eat. The menu has such a variety - I can't imagine somebody not finding something they would be interested in eating. Great cocktail menu as well. Our server was fantastic. I would definitely recommend!

We for sure will be back without a doubt. The food was A1 (great) the staff was extremely nice including the manager Natalie as well. Would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone. Thank you guys for a fantastic night! You will se us for sure in the near future!

Service was fast, and the food was delicious. We tried the brie cheese curds and crispy shrimp deviled eggs for starters. The pan seared scallops were divine and perfectly cooked. The Canadian walleye was delicious, and the accompanying pilaf had an excellent texture. The creme brulee for dessert was decadent and creamy, and not too sweet. All around an excellent meal.

The restaurant was packed inside and out, which did not feel comfortable at all due to covid. Definitely nowhere close to 6 feet between tables and other diners. BUT, lucky for me, I had the good sense to just order my food to go and be on my merry way because BOY was that a delicious meal! The waitress was kind and accommodating as I chose to take my food to go instead of dining in with the huge, unmasked crowd. I will surely get food orders from here in the future and look forward to the day of being able to comfortably dine-in here.

Food was really good. Started with the calamari and the homemade sauce they have adds a ton of flavor. They are thicker pieces, not rings, but really good. Also tried their turkey sandwich. This was really good. Bread was toasted well and buttery. Avocado was fresh. Would definitely have again. Their homemade tater tots are extra. Burger looked good but I didn’t try it. My husband enjoyed it but thought it was a bit thin. Special dessert was strawberry shortcake and this was fabulous!

Being involved myself in the foodservice industry we chose to support one of our favorite local establishments for Thanksgiving. The meal was fantastic! All of the dishes we prepared perfect and the instructions for reheating were simple and spot on. Hazelwood is my favorite place to dine and I have used them multiple times for special events. Each time I have been extremely pleased with both the service and the food. This time was just another example of execution by perfection!

Most of the waiters and waitresses are amazing; we haven't had a bad experience yet. The food is glorious; we love it all so far! As for the regular staff that greets and seats, they're just alright. Some of them just seem ready for us to go and aren't as welcoming as we'd like.

The monkey bread was great, but I'm sad to say the rest of our experience was lacking. The french toast was so crunchy it hurt my mouth and teeth to eat, and the "birthday sundae" was made from the iciest (freezer-burnt?) ice cream I've ever had. It's mind-boggling to me that it was allowed to be served.

Great place, excellent food, awesome service and a good selection of local craft beers. I was pleasantly surprised by the Fashion Mullet IPA by Lupulin Brewing Company definitely worth trying. We also enjoyed the healthy bowl with Salmon.... the red quinoa complimented the salmon perfectly. We also enjoyed the iceberg wedge and fish tacos. We’ll be looking forward to dining here again. On the COVID front, the seating was properly spaced and the wait staff masked and gloved. We felt comfortable under the current circumstances.

One of the best places I have ever eaten so far. Stellar service (Very attentive waitress and extremely friendly.) > Stellar Food (The presentation of the plates and the taste was amazing.)> Stellar Drinks (Great presentation too.). The interior design was amazing too. In love with this place. I will recommend trying the chevre or goat cheese salad with strawberries. You will not regret that decision. I will definitely come back again.

This place is unbelievably good in every aspect; menu, food, atmosphere, service, and even value across the menu. It is hands down my favorite restaurant, I'm married to a food scientist that does culinary recipe design so we rarely eat out but Hazelwood has become my favorite by far. Great job, so glad you are back open after all the shut downs. We had a great experience last night as always, and I just realized I've never dropped you a well deserved review!

We ordered curbside 2 nights in a row. The 1st night they messed up our order so had to wait to get the right order. The 2nd night our order was correct. I ordered the cranberry walnut salad. It was good but would have been better had they put the walnuts in it. They were missing. My husband said the pot pie was a little bland. But we will give it another try. Most review are good so we will go back. I am sure in restaurant is better experience.

I absolutely love their food, but was not impressed yesterday. Yesterday I ordered takeout and pulled into one of their curbside spots. I sent the text saying I was there and they promptly replied that my food wasn’t ready yet but they’d be out shortly. I waited about 7 minutes and then felt bad for making them come outside even though we left a standard 20% gratuity on a carry out order, but it’s a pandemic and we like to support small business. I walked in, was not greeted or approached by the two women sitting closest to the door. The expo looked back at me without a mask covering her nose or mouth but her chin. Finally after standing there for a minute or two, someone came over and asked me my name for my order and if I had messaged. I said yes, but that I felt bad making someone come outside. She replied saying how nice that was and then proceeded to go up to a row of orders that had been sitting for who knows how long and grabbed mine. Our pizza was cold but the rest of the food was excellent. I worked in the restaurant industry for 15 years so I won’t give you a bad review based on one experience, but I definitely will be trying to check out other small businesses instead of yours. Please do better! Thanks.

Went to Hazelwood for the first time for brunch on a Saturday. The food was delicious and they had a large variety of choices to choose from. Our table had the eggs Benedict, french toast amd protein scramble. Everything was so good! This is my new favorite spot for eating out. Parking is limited outside the restaurant but there is a ramp with plenty of close parking. Would highly recommend!

The female host was friendly and kind, the male host who sat us gave us an impressive and outstanding introduction when seating us. Never seen an outstanding host as I did today. The waitress was great, knowledgeable, and friendly. I didn’t read the menu correctly as I was disappointed at my own choice I saw the shrimp and scallop and I read “wood grilled” instead of wood fire clay pot (my head was somewhere else). However, the shrimp and scallop dish still tasted a little blend. I wouldn’t recommend that dish unless you’re looking for sides feeling dish. I felt like the dish was the taste of sides instead of a dish. It may be different per person, but it honestly didn’t taste like a special dish for me. Nevertheless, the service was outstanding starting from the host, to all of the wait staff that helped us. I loved Brooke. Brooke’s personality and work ethic was amazing! The banana cream pie was good! The size is good if you have 4-8 people, but it really depends if you eat a lot or not. To me a bite is good enough! But that’s just me. I love that your restaurant have an awareness on the environment.

When visiting the MOA area this is our go-to restaurant. We've had the fish and chips - amazing fried Walleye! Prime rib and new York strip are on point, done as requested and well flavored - gouda hashbrowns are amazing too. Sweet and salty pizza hit the spot, great combo. Cowboy burger gives you everything you need - cheese, bacon, fried onions, and BBQ sauce. Few things that could use some improving: coleslaw is bland, horseradish mashed potatoes were loaded with horseradish. Overall, Hazelwood food can get in my belly every time we're in the area!

I am not sure who the gentleman was, but when he asked me how everything was, I was able to honestly tell him that that was the best salad I had had anywhere. Everything was just spot-on! My new favorite restaurant.

Been here twice in the last 3 days. The speed and service were absolutely outstanding. However, the food (apart from the cocktail sauce) was sub par :/ The $32 sea scallops were very disappointing. Signature drinks were very good though!

2nd trip, Everything from the food to the service, including food runners and whatever random employees that walked by clearing tables, was perfect. Also note we do have food allergies and everything we asked about had a clear answer, some places can struggle with it, they excelled at doing it, both quick and confident. Appetizer to dessert was excellent. Nice selection of scotch/whiskey and reasonably priced as well. There's was even an emergency with a guest (don't know any details, none of my business anyways), The manager actually brought out our dessert, noticed the situation, and was instantly on it, so quick and in control of the situation, absolutely handled it, textbook, I've had some training, so I could recognize she knew exactly how to handle it. Impressive. All around awesome tonight. Added some pictures of dinner.

10/10 dining experience! The short rib fettuccine is hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!! I got the banana cream pie for dessert. It was so fluffy and flavorful. The caramel drizzle and chocolate were the perfect touch to the dessert. My husband got the minute chicken dish with the Angel hair pasta noodles. The lemon butter in the noodles with the mushrooms paired perfectly together. All in all chefs kiss perfection! Our waitress recommend both dishes and she was so awesome our whole dining experience! She made sure our drinks were always full and she was such a sweet heart. I wish I remembered what her name was. (If it helps we were there last night around 730. if the restaurant sees this ) But overall the entire staff were so upbeat and nice. This will definitely be our go to date night spot for many future nights out! We’re also coming back with friends who are visiting from out of state next month and I can’t wait for them to try! Lastly, be sure to make reservations especially on a Friday night because they are busy.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and it was excellent! Service was spectacular. Food and drinks were delicious (oh man...those Brie Cheese Curds are out of bounds!). All around amazing experience. We'll be back soon for brunch!

I finally got a chance to try this restaurant that my hotel highly recommended. I was pleased at the level of service I received. The food was excellent and was a good portion size. The restaurant is upscale so be prepared for that, but the food is worth it. I highly recommend making reservations because there can be waiting time for a table, especially during prime time. I definitely would be willing to come back in the future.

Nice upscale bar and eatery. A lot of hotel crowd. This was a great dish, especially with the added garlic toast. Which i got on the waitress’s recommendation. Great staff, very busy and very on point with all the customers.

Incredible dining experience, currently one of my favorites in the Twin Cities. I've had the brunch and dinner menus. The cocktails are well crafted and the coffee is good. The steak and eggs, and breakfast burrito were my brunch favs. Highly recommend this one, the service is excellent.

Always looking for new places. Wow Never had devil eggs in restaurant but I loved these crunchy shrimp devil eggs. Hardly ever order pizza but my friend wanted one to share. What a great decision. Perfect for sharing but I would have liked to bring some home for the next day. Plenty of items on menu to try. Need to go back.

I went to Hazelwood for the first time today and had an amazing experience. I had an issue with my first order and Adam was fantastic with handling it. The staff did a great job and was very cordial. I typically don’t complain but there was something in my salad I couldn’t eat. They made me a completely new one to go! I will absolutely be back. Great food and fantastic staff. Thank you for taking care of me today.

I was taken here for my birthday dinner. The staff coordinated with my fiance to have flowers and a card waiting at the table for Mr when we arrived. The food is amazing! All of the staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. I got a free sundae for my birthday. The restaurant is clean and beautiful. I would love to go back! Also the chocolate cake is huge!

Across the street from Mall of America, Hazelwood is so much better than anything you’ll find there. It was busy but not a long wait for a table. The hostess was lovely, as was our server Carolyn. We had the chicken rigatoni and a tuna melt. The pasta was perfectly prepared. The tuna was a little loose but tasty. We also enjoyed a hazelnut martini and lychee mule. We’ll be back.

I absolutely love this place! Came here once for a friends birthday and have been faithfully coming ever since! Everything on the menu is made with the highest standard, the staff is just delightful and always super nice and accommodating, and the interior is beautiful! All around a great place to enjoy some amazing food. It’s honestly my favorite place to go now I tell all my friends and family about this place 😊

This morning our family visited for breakfast! We were seated immediately with no wait. Strawberries and cream French goats was served with 4 generous pieces of French toast, a large dollop of whipped cream and strawberries. The bacon and sausage serving was a bit small. The breakfast pizza was delicious and large enough to serve two. I may recommend for more gravy sauce on the pizza. The monkey bread was amazing.

The table service itself by JB at Hazelwood was a 5 star. The food itself was exceptional and we give it approximately 4.6 stars. We had a party of six and arrived on a Sunday night at about 6:15 PM. Make reservations. The manager had a table open for us on a condition that a party of a similar size with a reservation would be at the restaurant an hour later. We would then have to move and hopefully find seats at the bar. I then went ahead and remembered to use my OpenTable app and discovered there WAS a reservation open at 7:30 for a party of 6 and we figured we could switch tables. For some reason, this idea seemed to be shunned by the manager. I thought she could’ve been more kind in saying something like “Let’s hope for the best, and we will try whatever we can to get you another table by 715.” It would’ve been nice for the manager to have given positive support for my successful booking of a 7:30 slot via OpenTable. I found out as I was sitting at our first table that the manager? … or somebody ….went ahead and canceled my 7:30 reservation without my permission. That was inappropriate and not good. Furthermore, the manager approached our table after we were seated and rudely said, “So we are clear, you will have to finish your dinner within the hour. There will be No moving to another table. We collectively give the manager zero stars. For whatever reason, we believe the manager needs to get in touch with her customer service skills. It’s about communicating whatever you can to help further accommodate your patrons, and in our case, FIRST TIME patrons. Unfortunately, if we had to factor in all aspects of our total experience, we would have to rate Hazelwood merely at 3 stars—-which would unfairly bring down the 5 star excellent experience and service from our server JB and helpers. The Hazelwood Old fashioned I drank was decent and above average and worth ordering. I am a mixologist and would rate it an 8.6 out of 10.

Hazelwood has a great menu, and everything we had was delicious! I really appreciated the awesome kids menu too. I especially liked the Chicken pot pie. Service is friendly and prompt. The ambiance is nice and modern, and the noise level for a Friday night was fine. Great location, not far from the airport.
