This place is so good that I'm willing to make the occasional drive ( 45 mins) for it. Everything was on point. The service, the pita bread, the drinks and the food. Took a to-go plate because for once I knew I would finish it later. Although the place is huge, I feel like they divide the ratio of servers per tables pretty well. It's that or they have well experience servers who do their job efficiently. Maybe a combination of both? Lot of parking and other areas to go to after eating. Great location and atmosphere.

Made a reservation for 7:15. I was running late so I called the place on my way there and spoke to a lady about it and she said it was fine since they offer a 15 minute grace period. I showed up at 7:25 and the lady there said we would have to wait because they only offer a 5 min. grace period. I told her I spoke to someone over the phone and she looked surprised and told us we still had to wait. The place was pretty busy so I understood and I waited. The decor is gorgeous. Very modern and classy. Definitely put some effort in your appearance when coming here. It gives off that vibe. Once seated, I got to ordering. Tried their Downey michelada and omg, literally one of the best miches I've ever had and I've had many! I started off with the fried calamari and salmon ceviche. The calamari was perfect. The dipping sauce was a great addition. The salmon ceviche had a smoky, unique taste. It was okay but I wouldn't order it again. The flatbread was cooked to perfection. As my entree I ordered the chicken & steak skewers that came with rice and a salad and this amazing sauce. Great, authentic flavors. The portion was perfect. They made a mistake on my friend's order and it was taken care of immediately. Our total was a little over $100 for 2 appetizers, 2 main entrees and 4 drinks. I think it was a reasonable price since they serve quality food in an upscale environment. I can see myself coming back in the near future. 🙂 P.S Bar Louie is right next door. You can continue the party there.

Went here for the first time for Father’s Day. Drove an hour to come try it out. The decor is very nice. Inside has several tables but is very loud. Outside was nice and fresh. There’s covering overhead so it’s not sunny while you’re eating, which I love. I love that they offer both brunch and the lunch menu in the morning. We ordered the Mediterranean breakfast plate, Greek salad, chicken shawarma, batata harra, and pancakes. Food was good. My father in law is from Greece and said his salad was good but not authentic Greek salad 😂 it looked very fresh though. The Mediterranean breakfast was okay but my husband said absolutely not worth the price of $18.50. My chicken shawarma was good. Not as flavorful as I’ve had from other places but good. My daughter loved her pancakes and fruit. Can’t really go wrong with that. Our bill was $100 for 3 adults and 1 kids, all drinking water. We were slightly annoyed that when ordering and asked if my husband wanted the jalapeños, we weren’t told that it would be $3 for a grilled jalapeño. We thought it was just something that came on it and that they asked because some people might not like the heat. The Greek chicken salad was $23.75. The chicken shawarma plate ($22.50) came with garlic sauce, which was good. I asked for one to go to finish the rest of my plate at home with it. I wish I was told that the tiny 2 Oz condiment container was going to be another charge of $2.50. The batata harra was $11 for essentially some fries with garlic. No seasoning or anything on it to make it super delicious. This place was good to try out once. For the drive and prices, we likely won’t return.

Wow. The food is top notch here. Quality of the meat is one of the best for Mediterranean food. We got the beef shawarma, the lamb kebab, and the vegetarian plate. We were full and satisfied. The service is also VERY impressive and wonderful. There is happy hour menu too.

This is mediterranian food at its finest. The food is fresh and deliciously seasoned. Wait time was minimum (about 5 minutes) even though the place was busy. The decor is magnificent and the outdoor dining experience is just wonderful.

I enjoy dining here. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly and helpful. I’ve only been here for lunch and HAPPY HOUR, and prices are reasonable. There’s plenty of outdoor seating, and if you get cold, heaters are available. Forgot to take photo of their shrimp, beef, and chicken skewers, but they’re all great with shrimp being my favorite.

Amazing food. Superb staff. Loved every dish that’s been cooked. One of the best salmon I had in my whole life. Loved the music been placed. Restro has a very modern look. Overall if you are in Downey then it’s a must visit place. Already visited twice will visit again for sure.

I just left this location a couple minutes ago after planning a night out with friends. We picked this location due to the outdoor atmosphere great food and services we've received in the past. Tonight was going great, as we enjoyed our meals and the service provided to us. From the moment we arrived the young ladies working the check in were very profesional and assisted us in a timely manner. Once we were seated our waiter was very attentive and courteous to our needs. It felt like the perfect night, until it was ruined by the person in this photo. The man on the right was working with another server cleaning the table. I was sitting by the door awaiting for my party of friends to leave for the evening as they stepped away for the restrooms. During this time I overheard the two waiters conversations. The man in the photo made an inappropriate comment about the people in the my party and how they ate there food and cleaned off there plates. He used Spanish and a curse word while the other waiter laughed. At this moment they did not see me standing there until I approached and I told them we were finished while also correcting his vocabulary. I was extremely disappointed as this is no way anyone should speak of another person regardless of size or race. You simply do not make these comments as they are extremely disrespectful even if he assumed he was alone, it is hurtful for anyone to hear. Going forward I will no longer provide business to this place as I would not feel comfortable eating in a venue that has staff waiting to judge people's meals after they've been finished. I truly hope you correct this behavior, as no one should ever have to worry about being judged when they are simply trying to enjoy a night out.

I can't say enough good things about this place the staff is very attentive. We went for brunch recently and the endless mimosas really were endless and they filled them very consistently. Happy hour is throughout the entire week and it's not cheap food and cheap drinks in the sense that they are not worth having or not tasty. Everything that is offered during happy hour is really good. The place is casual but it can also be fancy enough for a date night or a group of people looking to have a nice evening. Last time my boyfriend had the lamb shank which he loved and I had the shrimp pesto which is very delicious.

Where to start... Outside dining was ideal, great seating, tables constantly cleaned, not just wiped down, scrubbed! We had cauliflower and calamari appetizers both were great. Fresh pita bread, with a delicious green sauce. Chicken kabobs are flavorful and cooked well. The gyro, best I've had in years, tender and cooked to perfection. Small assortment of draft beers. Great location. A good local find.

I came out here with 3 other girlfriends surprising one of them for her birthday. The birthday girl wanted mediterranean but with a nice ambiance, so I found this little gem as a mid point for the others we were meeting. The restaurant is located by a corner and has large outdoor seating. We made it just in time with 1hr left for happy hour that ends at 7pm. This was on a Thursday night that we dined in. They allowed us to order multiple drinks per person, taking advantage of the happy hour cocktails. We actually ordered a tremendous amount of food and everything was delicious. The chicken/salmon kabob was a favorite as well as the cheese rolls! The food, the service, the happy hour was all worth the drive from north Hollywood and Pasadena!

Great ambiance and amazing food. I had a lot of food… falafel, spicy hummus, kafta kabob, tzatziki loaded with veggies, cheese balls, and baklava. All so delicious and fresh. I even loved the fresh pita and dipping sauce that was complimentary. From the manager and many servers, everyone was pleasant and friendly throughout my time there. I went during happy hour so the specials were great during that time. I’m definitely returning to this Mediterranean restaurant for sure. I loved it.

The restaurant boasts an ample dining area, allowing guests to choose between the cozy ambiance inside or the refreshing patio area outside. There was exceptional service provided by the waiters. They were incredibly attentive, making sure that every need and request was promptly taken care of. The menu offered a wide range of Mediterranean delicacies, each bursting with flavors, the lamb chops were my favorite piece. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience to eat here.

Our visit to this restaurant today was driven by my daughter's strong craving for the pita bread offered at The Olive. As anticipated, the food here maintains its consistent excellence, always delivering delightful flavors and quality. Our experience was further elevated by the outstanding service provided by Alexis, who was supported by the manager Carlos. Their attentive and genuine care truly enhanced our dining experience. I'm also grateful for Bryan's exceptional service during our previous visits, leaving a lasting positive impression. The ambience of this establishment consistently hits the mark, creating a welcoming and enjoyable setting suitable for any occasion. Overall, the standout aspects remain the consistently great food, coupled with the impeccable service from Alexis, Carlos, and Bryan. This restaurant remains a preferred choice, consistently delivering an enjoyable and satisfying dining experience.

Made a reservation for 4 and I had to push it back 30 min later and they were accommodating. I checked in we Got out table Rigth away. Out server name was Andrew and he was excellent! Andrew Went above and beyond to ensure we we’re having a great time celebrating our friends birthday, the good was as always very tasty and came out in a timely matter. I had sweet and spicy shrimp as appetizers, chicken and steak kebabs with couscous along with a muscle mule. Aside from having a good experience with great food and company, I believe the server, Andrew made it more of a memorable experience by being attentive and himself.

Very pleased. For being in the middle of the week and the middle of the day, this place is busy good. I was welcomed with a smile and served immediately. I was offered with lunch specials and I picked the gyro. The meat was thick and juicy delicious. The service was impeccable. The price was very reasonable as well. I am very please with my choice to enter The Olive Mediterranean Restaurant & Bar. If I wasn't working, I would have tried the bar too. I settled for Raspberry Ice Tea instead.

The food was absolutely delicious- we enjoyed a tasty variety of happy hour items, menu, kids menu, and the birthday dessert he provided was delightful! Highly recommend and appreciate Brian’s excellent customer service in making our family celebration a very enjoyable one!

I had been wanting to eat at this restaurant for a while now and just never really made it happen until this year on valentine's day. It was definitely a cold night but they had all the heaters on full blast and we were kept comfortably warm for being outside in the covered portion of the patio. I have had Mediterranean food before so it wasn't the first time but the food was just great. The menu has a fair amount of dishes and all look and sound very tasty. If you like pomegranates, you should try the pomegranate iced tea. The only reason why 4 stars for food is because I asked for a medium-well for my stake and got a steak that was half medium- well and the other half well- done. If you haven't tried Mediterranean food and your in the area, you should give it a try.

Ambiance: I loved the outdoor space for happy hour, perfect for people watching on a nice day, lol Service: We were seated fairly quickly, as we arrived right after happy hour started, took a bit for our order to be taken and to get our food but our waiter was very nice. Food: I ordered strictly from the happy hour menu, so base this review on that... I wasn't really a fan, chicken was kind of chewy, burger was a bit dry but the drink was delicious! It was not a terrible meal, but it wasn't amazing either. Just... ok.

Went here for my parents anniversary, and on a Saturday night even with a reservation we had to wait 10-20 minutes. Inside seating is highly limited but outdoor options are plenty and comfortable. Our service was quick polite and personable, giving Ashley a shout out here. I highly recommend their calamari for an appetizer, it is one of the best I've had yet. For the main course we had the family platter and for 5 people it was more than enough. A great variety and all the meats cooked to perfection, the lamb was most enticing to me and if you're Ala Carte ordering I suggest the lamb skewers. And I would go here just for their baklava.

Juan was an awesome server. Made sure we had a great experience. The only complaint is that my 3yr olds shrimp pasta plate took way WAY too long, all of us were half way through our meals before hers came out. Luckily she's not too picky so she ate off of our plates while hers came. Other than that the food was so delicious and service was great 👍 👌

If your looking for good Mediterranean food, this is the spot to go. The hummus is to die for. Drinks are amazingly refreshing. Me and my hubby had an amazing experience and can’t wait to go back again.
