Location wise, ambience wise this is a nice place to have a large cup of black tea. The food is quite good.

This cafe definitely contributed to my Varanasi visit. I ate a vegan breakfast for 3 days in a row 🙈. I read a book here and chilled for hours. Atmosphere, food and personnel are 10/10

Aadha-Aadha Café is definitely our favorite place in Varanasi. The atmosphere is very cozy and warm, the owner very friendly and well versed in explaining dishes and preparations. Fresh, first-rate ingredients make all the difference and give the dishes a unique flavor! There are board games to play to pass the time while tasting delicious sweets and teas! We highly recommend this restaurant, it is on a terrace of a beautiful building and the dishes are all very good. Quality - price very good! Kisses kisses from Italy 😘

Cool cafe to spend some peaceful time. Probably one of the calmest cafes in Banaras. Mornings are bright, evenings are warm. Food is really good.

Very clean place in a rooftop next to the river. The place is super clean, food is very good, specially the breakfast options (which you have a lot). We came here 3 days for breakfast and one for dinner. Thank you very much!

The food is excellent, especially if you are a foreigner you will love this place, it has all the authentic English breakfast options. The price is a bit on the higher side, but you will like the food. Also the ambiance is great, you will find books, card games. Also you can sit here and work. The only issue is that they take a lot of time to prepare the food, and the waiting time is almost an hour or more, so if you are okay with it, this is one of the best places.

We’ve been eating here for 3 days in a row (working remotely we needed a cozy and quiet place to stay at). The food is amazing, the staff super friendly and super nice and the price are way lower than other restaurants nearby! Curries are around 180-190Rs, rice 150-180Rs, omelette are less than 35Rs. We’re glad we could find this restaurant, super recommended :)

Aadha-Aadha (half and half) cafe was a very enjoyable rooftop oasis for us in the heart of Varanasi, steps from the ghats. It has a lovely view of the Ganges and comfortable seating at both tables and couches. We visited several times during our stay in Varanasi and enjoyed both the big Western breakfasts and the North Indian thali. It was a comfortable place to relax and enjoy good food and coffee or a cool drink after engaging with the intensity of life on the ghats in Varanasi.

Apple pie and almond cakes are good in taste but a bit costly. But if you are a food freak, then it would be worth it.

The café is located in a very centric area. Given that the restaurant is on the third floor, you have a beautiful view of the Ganges river. The service was kind. Although we went for dinner, they let me order a breakfast item off the menu. I had the vegan chickpea omelette. Some dishes are available vegan. The food was freshly prepared but did not take too long to be served. The taste was ok but not exceptional. Prices are reasonable.

Amazing place for a break from crowded and noisy city. The owner serves delicious food which can be easily customized according to your liking. The place has just been renovated with an amazing rooftop. I will definitely come back. Thank you. ;)

The staff are friendly, the food is decent and the price is democratic. The atmosphere is calm and clean. We ate here three days in a row, and would happily recommend it to those visiting Varanasi and staying near the Ghats.

We spent 20 days in Varanasi for a movie shoot. Every single day we came here. Such a nice and quiet spot with lovely people and great food. Only complaint: we are still bad at chess. But that’s definitely not the cafés fault😅

A beautiful cafe overlooking the river with some excellent quality food. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. There are a lot of fans so you have a very cooling breeze at the top. The whole cafe is enclosed so you can see the monkeys who come to visit but they can't get into the building. The food is delicious and very large portions for a very low price. We came two days in a row. What is there not to love about this cafe?

I visited after reading all the nice comments and was excited to try the food out. But the moment i entered the entire mood got spoiled because of the restaurant staff. The restaurant was almost empty with just 3 tables occupied and all the tables had 1 of 2 guests. I was about to sit on a table for 4 and the staff asked me if I was a single person and signalled me to move to the bar table (shelf on the wall for single guests). I wouldn't generally mind if it was crowded or other single guests were also all on side tables. I felt discriminated against as being the only indian i was asked to vacate the table. I didn't feel like having anything but ordered just 1 dish because of the efforts i made to come up 3 floors. I wouldn't recommend this place to fellow Indian guests but if you're not an Indian you will be treated well, go for it. Edit after restaurant response - Seems like you responded without reading my review completely. Single foreigners were allowed to occupy table for 4, the staff particularly targeted an indian and were terribly rude in the manner they did so.

Great atmosphere! Best restaurant in Varanasi if you look for a place to relax in the narrow and noisy streets of Varanasi. It's located in the top of a building so the view to the River Ganges is nice 🙂 Its a very interesting mix of French cuisine with Indian dishes. No shoes allowed, a place to chill

We went there everyday day during our week long stay in Varanasi after we got lucky to randomly stumble upon it. Food was delicious and it offered even some stuff we started craving after a month in India. Apple pie, cheese cake, chocolate cake satisfied our sweet tooth cravings and espresso shots took care of caffeine habit and were great as not many places we found were offering decent coffee. Good choice, friendly staff and beautiful interior. We will be back for more.

I visited Varanasi for a few days and was staying near Dashashwamedh Ghat. I came across Aadha-aadha cafe's listing on google maps and decided to check it out. It is a little tricky to get to this location, but google maps can lead you right to it. The decor is wonderful and the staff are just great. I ordered the Full English Breakfast and it was super satisfying. So much so, that I had breakfast at this restaurant every day of my stay in Varanasi. I highly recommend this place for its ambience, excellent food and great service.

Great food, with plenty of options for local or Western food. Fresh drinks, reasonable prices. It is hard to find as it is on the top floor of a hotel, so don’t miss the sign! There are plenty of steep stairs to get here but it is worth it!

It's a steep hike up to the rooftop here, you remove your shoes when you enter and I grabbed a seat at the railing with a view of the ganges. The place is wrapped in a metal cage to keep the monkeys out but it obstructs the partial view of the river. I had the chicken butter masala, plain rice and a beer. I'm not an Indian food expert but found this dish rather bland. Perhaps it's meant to be... the portion was large and ended up being my meal for the day outside of a lassi. It's a nice reading nook, quite and perhaps if I was staying here, I would have loved it more. Great spot if you have a sweet tooth as they have an extensive menu.

Best breakfast in town! Simply amazing if you are looking for some thing continental. Pancakes with Nutella and pomegranate and tulsi tea are wonderful! Nice place with view and good vibes 🙃

Freshly cooked tasty food, awesome location, clean, friendly staff; what else you need from a cafe/restaurant. Near to Darbhanga ghat, on a rooftop, giving view of The holy Ganges. Fresh cooked food is served here. Only issue I had was doing cash payment.

Simple Indian and Chinese menu, but the taste and preparation is too good! And yes there’s this vibe in the ambience owing to the aadha-aadha story of Emi and Raju. Great hosts, best ginger honey tea, beautiful Ganges view too! Slightly hard to find though.

Lovely French-Indian place. I went for breakfast and enjoyed a vegan omelette and some good coffee. Many options for vegans available and you can definitely spend some time there just to relax

The restaurant is situated on a rooftop terrace with an amazing view over Varanasi and Ganges. The place is very clean, service fast and efficient, the owner nice and friendly. What’s most important the food is fantastic. You can choose from vegetarian/carnivore/vegan options and ask for any necessary changes to the dish you’re ordering. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try delicious Indian cuisine in a clean and sanitary context. My boyfriend and I ate here for 3 days straight (they are open from early morning 8:00 till at least 9:00pm). Thank you!

Unfortunately I Cannot give more than 5 stars otherwise I would. This is an incredible place to go to eat every time of the day. The atmosphere in incredible. View of the river. The place and the food are so clean which is something unfortunately so rare in India. I wish to this man the best. If you are in Varanasi just go there, breakfast, launch and dinner. There is no better place.

Amazing, the whole concept of Aadha aadha, The french and indian union... Food is amazing, so is the service. Best place to eat around ghats. A bit difficult to find this place but worth it. And the view of Ganga is just cherry on the cake. A must visit if you are visiting Dashashwamedha area.

This rooftop restaurant in the heart of Varanasi serves excellent food at reasonable prices. The place is spotless and kept that way. I have eaten here every day for five days running. Authentic food, with care taken in the spices, and a refreshing place to escape the hustle and bustle of the alleyways, thanks to Raju for the excellent service.

If this is the best restaurant in Varanasi then this city is in trouble. We ordered the white salad, the carbonara and the pesto pasta. Everything was bland. The pastas were dry and didn’t have enough sauce, the salad was dry and didn’t have enough dressing and I do not believe they used police oil in the dressing. We didn’t like anything and we’re very disappointed in the meal. The server spent the whole time on his phone and basically ignored us even though we were the only people eating.

Great and cute place to chill, a menu full of little dishes you will need in Varanasi, and lovely team. I recommend this place whenever you are looking for a break ! The brunch was the best meal we had during our stay in town.

I should have listened to my instinct. A restaurant in the middle of a touristy area, on top of a guest house, obviously filled with tourists. But I believed the good reviews. Ordered the Uttapam for breakfast. I had and enjoyed Uttapam before, this was nowhere close. These were three small, deep-fried pucks of dough with a bit of red onion inside, zero spices, and no detectable salt. As I mentioned that I was pointed towards the salt and pepper shakers on each table. On top of that the 'tomato chutney' was just a mashed up tomato. That's it.

We ate here two out of three nights we were in Varanassi. Small restaurant on the top floor of a building just behind the Brijrama Palace Hotel. Delicious. Four of us enjoyed several different dishes. Lovely service and friendly owner.

The best thing here was that they serve soy masala chai! I’ve been looking all over India for an authentic masala chai with soy and finally I found it and it was delicious! We also enjoyed the tofu pakora. The main dishes we had were aloo palak which was nice, and tofu butter chicken- this was our least favourite dish, it used silken tofu where I think a firmer tofu would have been better for this dish, the silken didn’t take on much flavour and we found the gravy a bit thin / not the most flavourful for us. However great to see tofu on a menu as this can be hard to find.
