So we gotta asked. For me all the meat were the same nothing special except that it's hard to chew. The price was not fit for the quality of the food because (side dish is not included everything must come with a price )Only thing was good we're the dip sauces and the sweet potato and the dessert(took like 10-15mins and crust of the pie wasn't warm at all)

The ambience was comfortable and the staff was polite. The ordering system seemed efficient, as you fill out a slip of what you want for your main and sides and, if you’re ordering steak, how well you want the meat cooked. Service was a little bit off, however. Our server took the slips, but didn’t (or forgot to?) offer us any drinks, so we had to ask if we could order some when he came with the appetisers. Then, when we were finished with our meal, he was absent, nowhere in sight for us to pay the bill. It wasn’t a big deal, but the service felt inattentive. The food was alright, though expensive. I think the people in my group enjoyed their steaks/ribs. I chose the cod, as I’m not a fan of steak, and while the menu description for it sounded appetising, the meal itself was lacklustre. The chimichurri mayonnaise helped lift the dish a bit, but otherwise it was quite bland. I also do not recommend the garlic potato gratin, as it lacked flavour. Not bad, but could be better.

Unfortunately spent our last night with a bad service. We were tired after a long day. That is why we decided to come here, because we thought we will get the same service as last time. But this time, we Waited for like half hour for them to entertain us. We got seated on a tight little corner where the guy next to me who is seated on another table is only 5-10cm away😳, we ordered some foods which took for ca half to one hour waiting(the service should tell us how long the waiting is before we order if they have a lot of costumers). We weren’t satisfied with the soggy meat and the table we got seated on. We tried to complain but didn’t have enough energy to argue about it. The price we paid wasn’t worth the food we ate.😱 Maybe no more from this place.

6 people ordering food. Plate 1 and 2, got it fast, but 1 plate had to go back to kitchen, burned meat. Plate number 3 got the food, but missed half the food wich was supposed to be on the plate. The rest came after like 10 Minutes. Plate number 4 came, whit spareribs wich was good. But no fork or knife to eat it, we got some fork and knife 10 Minutes later. Plate number 5 came, wich was supposed to be well done. It was raw, and the plate had to be sent back to the kitchen 3 times, number 4 was ok. Plate number 6 never came cause they lost the order, så 1 hr later she cud eat some burger. Manager offered us 1 soda on the house, wich was aweful after a night like this. We paid and left to another place to buy some cake. I sent them a mail few days later, and they offered 15% on the next visit, wich is not enough at all. They shud offer discount on the first one, wich they never did. We.r not going to this place again. I am making this review so u wont make a mistake like us. Way to expensive. It.s a steak house wich cant make steak. Aweful. Find another resturant, wich wanna take care of their guests.

the steak we ordered was perfect. the sauce was good and enhanced the flavour of the steak. the crème brulée was also delicious and was neither too warm nor cold. overall great experience, would visit again.

Lovely service, waitress was attentive and checked on us frequently. Food was yummy and perfect sized portions and my son LOVED the garlic bread. Cozy and warm atmosphere. Fun dessert menu, and nice ambiance. Would recommend and would return.

Fancied a burger so ended up at Big Horn, beef burgers were good, as was our starters of onion soup. However chicken burger was dry. Staff were friendly and there was a nice atmosphere. If you’re looking for a “Bergen experience” this isn’t the place to come, but it is good value if you want burgers and steak.

Service is fabulous, as is the food. If you're looking for good beef (sirloin, hamburger, etc) , then Big Horn is probably one of your best options in the city. The lettuce in one of the side dishes was a bit brown around the edges. But the server fixed the problem without any question.

Not an awesome experience. Waiter impatient and rushed, although not apparently over-busy. Cocktail overwhelmingly sour mix with no taste of whiskey. After a short time, the whole thing just smelled musty and bad. Bearnaise for steak thin, strangely orange, and had a sour flavor. Steak was good, as were onion rings. Highly overpriced for what we got. Disappointing!

A very disappointing experience. The food was not prepared to the extent we requested, the portion was small in relation to the high price and the entire description on the menu was very misleading.

My husband and I ate in this restaurant on our first night in Bergin . We had garlic bread, onion soup as starters and as main the fillet of beef with chips and my favourite part of any meal is yes desert 😊. We had the peanut cheesecake. 👍😊 was delicious 😊. So the starter and dessert were absolutely lovely but my reason for not the highest stars is the main was disappointing it was not horrible but it just didn't stand up to the other two courses. The staff are reallly very lovely which is always a bonus anywhere and our lovely guy was a polish who was so attentive and kind .Thank you .! 😊 Most definitely would try here again as it has a lovely warmth about it . 😊

Cosy atmosphere. Portions are a bit small. Avoid the in-house potato fries as these do taste good (very good), the portions are on the smaller side. Meat was mediocre but the bernaise sauce was fantastic. Staff was polite and very friendly and made us feel welcome.

We were here at before (13.12.23)and had an amazing time, whit good food. So I brought my family in law to have a good evening, unfortunately there must have been a different chef this time (27.12.23) because the food was ok at best for the people who actually got to eat. We were a group og 5, the people i came with seemed to have ok food, but my experience was different. I ordered the tenderloin 300g cooked to medium. When i got it the tenderloin was cooked well done. I returned this to the server and said I ordered medium. They made me a new tenderloin and the server stood there until I cut it in half to see if it was cooked to medium. Unfortunately it was not. It was red raw and fridge cold inside. So I returned this one as well. The 3rd time the reused the 2 tenderloin. But this time it had a bigger ring of well done, but still a center that was bright red and fridge cold inside. After this I refused my dish since my whole table already had eaten up their food.

The steak was not good, the garlic bread was still frozen in the middle and when I told the waiter about it she said that some people like them frozen and hesitating to take it back. Very rude waiter and overall a bad experience compared to other Big Horn Steakhouses.

Steaks and wine were great. But the Bearnaise was strangely thin and sour. Asked for a wedge salad but got a Caesar salad (it was fine, but not what I ordered). Whiskey sour was mostly sour, very little detectable whiskey. Waiter was... manic. Way too fast: water carafe was whisked away without a word. Overpriced and underperforming.

Good food, but a little bit of confusion when paying as I don’t think the staff had everything under control.

Pre booked so no problem getting a table. Didn't like the fact that we had to write down our order, especially when the lights were so dim. Anyway, what is the waiter for? Attentive service. Food was good but not special. Brought us a dessert that we didn't order and said that they didn't have any left of the one we ordered so we had to have this one. Not to make a fuss we just took it. No problem to split the bill.

I hadn’t spotted that you’re supposed to write your own order on a ticket pinned to the menu but the staff made no fuss and took the order. Main course of spare ribs was good. Hot, with a great sauce. But the 4 onion rings for €12 was ridiculous even by Norwegian price standards. There were not enough staff (a problem everywhere at the moment) so had to wait to pay. At least there was no queue for a table.

Fantastic steak cooked to a perfect rare, service was quick and the waitress was lovely. Doesnt break the bank but isnt cheap but you come to expect to pay more in Norway if you've been here before

Nice place to have dinner. Steaks are of supreme quality. It gets busy when there are more people inside. Welcoming staff. Weekends are busy and you need to wait a little longer for your food. Would highly recommend if you're craving for steaks and looking for a good place to dine out Great place for dining. Much better on weekdays

Made a reservation on a Sunday which had maybe 3 other tables when we walked in. Prices were high so we expected some decent steaks and a burger. But we were left very disappointed. Ordered 3 items: Texan burger which was very small and patty was well over cooked, the layer of lettuce wasn’t fresh and made it very unpleasant to bite into. A 300g ribeye which was cooked okay but very tough, overall average for the price. A 150g tenderloin which was cooked good but was the worse cut of tenderloin I’ve ever eaten. Chips were hard and average. Overall we expected better, much better places in Bergen for steaks and burgers.
