Often when people speak about known clubs in Berlin they mention Tresor. BUT THIS IS WRONG. Tresor has nothing to do with the great clubs such as Berghain etc. Let me tell you why: -Most of the people there are tourists between 18 and 21. I’ve never seen Hawaii shirts in clubs, in Tresor many. People are wasted, intrusive and certainly not there because of the good techno (maybe that’s why they have a souvenir shop in the club where you can buy t-shirts?). -Very average techno. But if you like house music you will like the floor upstairs. -Strange door staff. They asked people if they are from Berlin, who’s playing tonight, etc. but then let everybody in (why then even asking?). -They sold tickets beforehand but then at night let the people without ticket in first to make extra money (because they would pay, the ones with the ticket already paid). -The liquor there is low quality (e.g. Eristoff Vodka). -Unsafe and non barrier-free environment. Look at the picture, screws sticking out of the wall. The guy in front of me almost hit his head.

Waiting in the queue we witnessed the door staff being racist and asking people where they were from then rudely turning them away if they weren't German or their skin colour didn't fit. After seeing this we decided not to bother waiting in line as somewhere that discriminates is not somewhere we want to be. Completely agree with others comments about the place being very pretentious. Heading out we spoke to a few people who had left less than an hour after being in as they said the atmosphere inside was not comfortable and they were heading to better venues. Following their advice we did indeed find much better places and would recommend others do the same.

Visited this club while in Berlin to experience the truly famous night life of Techno, but also had the infamous experience of being rejected like many people reported. Overall the staff was very aggressive towards some people waiting in like (not us, though). Some were kicked on the queue just because they had their cellphones, others because they were drinking and some just because? While we tried our best to be respectful of the rules of the club that we had researched earlier (as everyone should do both) we felt that we fitted in the attire of the people entering but after arriving at the front of the line we were just asked how many of us we were (7 in total but spaced out in small groups) and a simple "sorry guys, not tonight, goodbye!". Other large groups were entering, fyi. My interest in this club hasn't faded as I really want to have this experience but I feel that it's just a matter of luck (if you're not doing anything stupid), the fact that we were foreigners and just getting along with the ones making the selection. What frustrated us is that we didn't get any kind of reason to get rejected and it makes it difficult to come back again and "improve" what we apparently lacked, this last point could give them a lot more appeal and general positive feedback even if they still reject a lot of people, at least give us the reason...

During my recent trip to Berlin, I decided to immerse myself in the vibrant nightlife of the city and experience the atmosphere of its famous clubs. However, what I discovered was a disappointing and even xenophobic treatment reserved for tourists like myself. As an experienced traveler who has visited many places in Europe, I can confidently say that this was the first time I was denied entry to every club I attempted to visit. My frustration grew each time I was turned away without a precise reason, although I realized that the general explanations often revolved around the venue being "full," "dress code" requirements, or "try again later." What struck me the most was the fact that groups of only men or individuals in casual attire were easily granted entry, while we, a group of tourists, were consistently rejected. Despite attempting to adhere to the rules and respect the club's etiquette, it seemed that our tourist status alone was sufficient grounds for exclusion. Over time, we began to realize that Berlin's clubs simply do not favor tourists, a sentiment that was reinforced by the accounts of foreign workers we encountered in the city. I was shocked to discover that our enthusiasm to experience the local nightlife and immerse ourselves in Berlin's culture was met with such cold rejection. I cannot help but think that this is a form of xenophobia that affects those who, like us, seek to have an authentic experience in the heart of Berlin. It is frustrating that a city, which enjoys an international reputation as a cultural and cosmopolitan center, would display such an unwelcoming face towards tourists. In conclusion, my stay in Berlin was overshadowed by this disappointing experience in the clubs. I hope the city takes serious steps to eliminate these discriminatory barriers and promote an inclusive environment for all visitors. While I appreciate Berlin's cultural and historical richness, I cannot ignore the negative aspect I encountered during my stay.

It was an amazing experience! Liked the dj set a lot, it was super dark! However the fog effect they use combines with the cigarette smoke in an area without oxygen so it was impossible to breathe.

Denied entry even though we bought tickets beforehand. Just like the people before and after us. It wasn't a case of being too full either as the club only just opened, and there must've been less than 100 people inside. If we were drunk or being rowdy, I would understand, but we were just there to have a fun time before we left Berlin. If I was a local, I'd bring them to court or get in touch with a business bureau about how ethical they are when no refunds are given.

Lady bouncer asked a few questions before letting us in. Security was friendly to me, the bar staffs were even friendlier. The underground room was an experience. Totally mesmerising! The techno was dark and hypnotising. It was a fun and enjoyable night besides a few people constantly chatting on the dance floor. My knee hurts so bad after dancing whole night but it was well worth it.

Definitely recommend! Multiple floors of dancing and loved the techno music and vibe. They have a coat check for 1.5 euros inside that was perfect! There was a long line on a Saturday night, but that’s pretty standard in Berlin. You are expected to know the event inside and it helps if you at least try to speak German.

I don’t really write bad reviews but this one deserve it. We were waiting in line around 2 hours and than the security guys didn’t let us to enter for no reason. Just saying we have the right not to tell you the reason. Try to skip this place rather than waisting your time.

Great place, super spacious inside and not mega crowded so you had a crowd to dance in, but also space if you wanted it. Only downside is that smoking is allowed inside, but I guess that's everywhere in Berlin. The music was incredible, it was super clean (really surprising for a club), and almost no wait for the bar. Had bought tickets for the evening so didn't have to stand in the mega long queue. It seemed that people with tickets didn't have any issue getting in, didn't see anyone rejected from that line. Plus it moved really fast, was in in under 15 minutes.

Overly capricious door staff mean you can't really plan your night around coming here. Obviously everyone who doesn't get let in feels a sense of injustice at the process - but my partner and I are both familiar with Berlin's club scene and its hard to think of what the deal was. Disliked the fact that we had been down the club 'Crack' prior to visit. But whatever. There are a lot of good clubs in the city without silly door policies, so consider your options...

I love the Tresor. Great club, cool vibes, big spaces and attracts a fun crowd. I never struggled to get in so I can't report on that, the bouncers were always nice to me and the people I got in with.

When it comes to music and the club ambient itself, I had a wonderful time. However, I wish the staff would make sure their visitors were more safe and take care of them. At the end of my visit, I went to go collect my Jacket and lost my number for it (which I take full accountability for). The woman working at the counter was super rude, which I can kinda understand being a long line and having to search for my jacket and I apologized for. She eventually came back and said that they don't have it. I said that can't be, and she thank god let me look for it in the back, still being really rude. There weren't many jackets left to look through, since it was almost noon at that point. I was so tired and uncomfortable of the situation and asked what I'm supposed to do now. She suggested I come back next week and look in the lost and found. I was only wearing a see through bra, and I stated that I can't go home half naked for safety reasons. She looked even more annoyed and over the situation. I asked if she could maybe lend/give me a leftover shirt or at least something to cover myself so that I can get home safely, since all my friends had already left. She at first said yes and asked me to wait on the side. I stood there waiting another 30 min until I realized she was not coming back, so I went back up to her and all she said was "oh yeah btw we can't give you anything". I asked why, and she said that if someone comes back and tries to claim it will be bad if I just took it". To that I replied, I can leave my license here and bring it back, but it will also be bad for me to leave the club in just a bra and possibly get assaulted. To that she just replied "I can't help you and that's not my problem" while at that point I was crying. I have never felt so humiliated in my whole life and from another woman being mistreated seeing that I was helpless and crying thinking about me going home half naked after they lost my jacket. Please HELP those who ask for HELP!

I'll give it three stars. After about 20 years, we were back in the safe just for fun. Admission was steep at €22, but money wasn't an issue for me that evening (I was annoyed the next day). Mixed drinks for €9 in plastic cups, well. 90% tourists, what the heck. It's nothing bad. It's no longer the same feeling as it was 25 years ago. It's just a new generation. I have never described myself as a “raver”. I just listen to techno and like to dance to it. I don't like the term "raver" either, for me they are "commercial" people who have no idea. At least that's what I imagine. Yes, it was fun that evening, but I could have celebrated with 30 cool people in an old garage or something similar and would have had the same fun. Tresor is just "hype"... If you call it that. But still, have fun to everyone who wants to party there...🙋‍♂️✌️ And yes.... I secretly used my camera...🥱

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately there are no 0 stars available. After we (2 boys, normal appearance, not drunk) queued for more than an hour, the bouncer rejected us with the words: "come again next week". When asked, we were not even given a reason. In my opinion, an absolute cheek to arbitrarily sort people out and let everyone in before or after. For those who are reading this, I recommend going to Munich or Frankfurt to celebrate.

Lined up for 40 minutes only to get told “no”, and got told to leave. Just because we are foreigners! (From Australia). When I asked why, they said “because I said so”. Absolutely Pathetic. I expected Berlin to be better then this. What a shame.

One of the best nights of my life! We went on a Wednesday night, turned up at 12:05, the queue was very short, we only waited for 5 minutes. We were a group of 3 18-year old girls. I was wearing black jeans with some chains, a black top and a leather jacket, my friend was wearing dark blue trousers, a patterned top and a denim jacket, and the other friend was wearing black jeans and a black top with cutouts. The bouncer had no problem with us being tourists (I’m Russian and my friends are English), didn’t even ask us any questions, just silently let us in. The entrance fee was 8 Euros. Had a nice chat with the security guards, once they saw my passport they started talking to me in Russian. There’s a cloakroom where you can leave your jacket/bag for a fee of 1.5 Euros. The inside of the club is very atmospheric, good techno music, though it started getting interesting only around 1:30. You can smoke inside the club. We had to leave early (3:15), but would have liked to stay much longer, it was very enjoyable.

Racist Club! We were waiting around for 60 min. When we were in the entrance the lady began to do a wierd interview. But at least we passed the test and she said welcome and we were abouth to go inside but a man stopped and he said ! HEY GUYS NOT TODAY !. So we asked him. Why ? Because the lady have said yes. And you said not. Germans are still racists !!!

Once you get in it is a very good experience. All the guests and the staff inside the building are respectful and kind which creates great and safe feeling atmosphere. The bouncer ladies seemed dead serious and not so nice but I guess that is their job. If u want to get in know who is playing, what is the event name if any and just be nice.

Decent venue. The sound systems were good and the space is unique. The door selection process seems random as they denied some really cool people I met in line, but while inside there were plenty of excited tourists.

We were very lucky we had met German people in the hostel we were staying in otherwise we wouldn't have been let in, there also needs to be a good ration between girls and boys in your group + smartly dressed otherwise you won't be allowed in! The club was really spacious and clean however a lot of people were smoking but that's just a lot of European clubs. We really enjoyed our night here and the drinks weren't too expensive.

Just because we kept hand in hand with my boyfriend who had his 32nd bday, the women controller rejected us with an angry face, asking "warum?" and showing us the way out with a disgusted face (24.02.2024 to 25.02.2024 night)... This is pure discrimination!!! Living in here 10 years and entering this club several times I haven't seen such a disrespectful and disgusting treatment anywhere in Berlin. She was continuously smoking weed and also super high and agressive. We do not desereve to be treated like this. Your employees need a strict reminder that they live in Berlin, one of the capitals of the LGBTQ community. I would understand if it was just a "no" but who are you people to ask us why we keep hand in hand with a disgusted face? Terrible behaviour. Shame on you!

I queued 2.5 hours to get in, overall the music was alright, there’s 3 distinct areas and I enjoyed the underground tunnel bit the most. I found that the people inside aren’t the friendliest, it felt like being in usual clubs with people shoving each other aside. I had no issues with bouncers (I’m female and was by myself), but some people before and after me weren’t let in and some guys were also kicked out of the queue (they were drinking beer from a man selling it from a trolley right next to the queue). Some also went out of the queue to pee in the bushes and their whole group was dragged out the queue and kicked out. I think you just have to be reasonable and not be too loud/disturb others, and have basic manners and you have a high chance of getting in, even as a tourist!

When you get in, it is an awesome nightclub. The techno is the best you can get, and I love the vibe of an abandoned building being set up as a night club. Has some soft seating areas which is nice to chill. Downside is the discrimination. Got in on a Wednesday night no problem. Went back on a Friday, a busier night and waiting 30-40min in the queue only to be rejected. All were told was: "sorry not tonight guys, maybe tomorrow". What we noticed was all the english speaking people were getting rejected, especially British. If you were German you got in no problem. Disappointing. Went to Germany specifically for the nightlife as I love techno.

(Translated by Google) The location is awesome, queuing for 30-40 minutes is also acceptable - but queuing inside for another 60 minutes to hand in a jacket is absolutely stupid and a real mood killer. Club for thousands of people, but only a cloakroom window with 3 employees for jackets Acceptance AND delivery ... Not recommended in winter! Tourist, I don't speak German, I'm 36, and I had a very easy welcome. Tresor is incredible, and everyone I met was more friendly than anyone else I've met on my travels. Upstairs seemed to go for more of a house sound and downstairs was hard techno. Incredible sets from everyone. Affordable drinks. It wasn't so crowded that you couldn't find some space to yourself if you needed a second.

The location and the interior is great and well as the techno they play. But it was not just for me as the visitors where mostly the younger people, 18-23 perhaps. As I'm a bit older I didn't connect with the crowd. Great door policy: behave, be comfortable, dress for techno and have fun.

Really not worth visiting and paying the 25€ entrance fee. Dancefloor packed with tourists that were speaking louder than the music was playing. Barely anyone seemed to be dancing. Very cool as an event space, it really has a lot of character. Upstairs was definitely better crowd-wise! Overall quite disappointing and there are much better clubs to visit :)

Wednesday night. Being an English speaker tourist got in no questions asked. Even the lady in the front asked if we speak English or Deutsch and had no problem addressing to us in English. Just dress appropriately (I was wearing all black) and be quiet as you wait in line. Inside was super spacious and the music sounds amazing. Toilets are clean :)

Techno club inside a former factory building. Good sounds. Techno quite chill upstairs with a bar and light shows. Hard techno in the basement, cellar/underground atmosphere, darker. They sell lollipops and alcohol. No food/snacks though. Know that the queue to get in is very long (~1h) and they are selective. Be a mixed group, dressed as techno people, and know the program. Very worth it tho.

Probably “nicest” club we went to, seemed more clean than the others and had the techno you expect to hear in Berlin. Got in no problem, bouncers were joking with us and overall really chill. As with any club I would recommend going in very small group and knowing who you’re there to see. Dress casual and you should be fine. I wouldn’t recommend getting in line if it’s very long, your chances go down the more people there are if you’re not from there

Got rejected once, then got in twice. As a techno fan, I loved this club. It is a huge bunker-like looking labyrinth full of dark places to sit and chill. The sound system is amazing. Two different styles of techno, the dark basement stage presents much faster and harder techno. Enough space to dance and medium prices. This was the club number one for me in Berlin.

Amazing immersion in techno (we stayed for 10 hours). We had no trouble coming in the club even if we were speaking English (just make sure to know the line-up, and to come pretty early to avoid the queue). Entry is pretty expensive (30€) but definitely worth the price. The place is huge, with a nice chill out area and the basement room is everything. Definitely a place to try for techno amators

I went to Tresor as a tourist in Berlin and fortunately didn't have any issues getting in - although I saw quite a few people turned away. I thought the atmosphere inside was great, despite not being the biggest fan of techno! Worth visiting if you like clubbing, as long as you are prepared to be turned away.

Got in as two Australians dressed in black shirt and pants knowing zero German. Atmosphere was great and one of the coolest venues. Drinks were quite expensive if you weren’t drinking beer. Many people did get told to leave the line after waiting 2 hours however they were usually in bigger groups. Smaller groups of 2 or 3 seem to be better to get in.

Cheap in, we arrived very late around 3am so getting in wasn't a problem on a Thursday. Staff were very friendly, free cloak room suggesting you tip instead. Good music. Very smoky but bathrooms were clean and fully stocked.

Our first experience visiting a techno club in Berlin. It was so unforgettable and impressive that we did not notice how we spent in the club from 23:00 to 11:00 in the morning. The atmosphere, the music, the service, the people - everything was magical. We will definitely come again. Thank you for these emotions🙌🏼❤️

Amazing club. Definatelly don't come here if you're not really into techno. Ticket around 25-30 euros, preferably buy in advance online. Drinks inside, 3.5 for a beer, not bad at all. Tips: - Don't come in a big group 🙅🏻‍♂️ - Wear black, it's better. But better than that is to come with your true self. 🧛🏻 - If you don't speak german (if you're a tourist as me), don't be to loud on the queue outside... 🏳️ If you get in, which shouldn't be that hard, a great night awaits 🤪

(Translated by Google) Legendary techno club. Anyone looking for a top techno club will find it here. The upper dance floor (globe) with bar plays a little "softer" music, for example house. The "safe" (below) actually always plays techno. The ambience of the former power plant fits perfectly. At an advanced hour, the excessive use of dry fog + stroboscope in the safe leads to a very special atmosphere. The bouncers are good too. They don't let everyone in, but they're still not super strict.

Underground Techno Club inside an old heating plant. The music is incredible and there are so many floors that you easily get lost. It is a crazy adventure through one of Berlin‘s best party spots... in case you get inside. Make sure you know the line up, because the bouncers are very picky. We went there around 4 a.m. and there was still a queue, so plan on waiting a while before you (possibly) get inside this techno heaven.

I’ve been there many times with a friend who goes to Tresor since 2004, but now bouncers started to reject us with no apparent reason. At the entrance, a person was kicked out because of photos. LoL. Best selection ever. This Berlin fashion of randomly selecting people to create exclusivity will kill clubbing one day. At least stop using words as “freedom”, you will make a better impression…

One of the best Techno clubs in Berlin, reach early to avoid huge lines and dress accordingly based on the event. You can dance your night away at the famous underground dance floor : Tresor ⛓️ - great sound system and acoustics. Plenty of spaces to chill and it’s easy to get lost in there, take care of each other😜

It was only 2 of us, first time visiting but we read up everything there was to know. House rules say there’s no exclusivity or dress codes like other clubs in Berlin. Yet the bouncer took one look and denied entry with no reason stated. We made an effort to speak in German, we were stone cold sober and dressed appropriately. Fail to see what we did wrong, just wanted to enjoy the music. Some of these bouncers need a reality check thinking they’re at Berghain, y’all ain’t guarding national secrets.

Went there on a Monday night and they were still rejecting lots of people. If don't speak German, do not speak. I was there with a german friend (and I speak some German) and I think that's why I went in. You should not be loud as you're in the queue and it might be easier to go in if you're wearing some dark clothes. As you go in you get a sticker on your phone camera. Don't worry, Tresor is still up to it's reputation - the new location might be not an ancient vault but still impressing (also, thankfully, no water running down the walls and real, breathable air). The bookings are mostly excellent the sound pretty good and the overall mood friendly despite the often harsh Detroit style techno that is the place's signature. Security seems a bit paranoid lately but the door seems pretty reasonable. As a tourist crowd your chances might be less optimal, specifically saturdays but I never had any trouble getting in.

12 hours of techno played on vinyl with a good sound system (not too loud but clear). The main room is fantastic, not too big with the right amount of lights and effect, the scene created by the concrete and metal bars is awesome. Bonus, free bananas at the bar 🤩🔊

As always, I was in the safe at the weekend and was warmly welcomed by the lady at the front and accompanied to the door by the bouncers. There are a lot of negative things that have been said about the bouncers, but my opinion goes in a completely different direction, super friendly and helpful, Otherwise the club is very good. Unfortunately the bar on the floor of the cloakroom has always been a little unfriendly. But the people at the other bars are much friendlier. Secretly always worth a visit. The atmosphere and music is breathtaking.
