I love this lake. Its the best thing thats happend to this neighborhood. I love that I am able to go there whenever I want and swim in it. In the summer time my dad, brother and I often go there to swim and cool down from the warm weather. The best thing about it is, that you dont have to pay for anything and that its pretty small. If you are a decent swimmer you can swim from one side to another. Its a lot of fun. The rest of the year I always pass by the lake, because its on my way to school. I put some photos of it below. Every time I ride my bike to school and the sun is rising I take some pictures. Its very beautiful. I love it.

Country-like swimming hole where anything goes. Small sand and swimming area, lots of grass, and many hidden places to sit around the lake. Food stand, toilet, parking available.

A very quiet and beautiful spot near a wonderful lake, Biesdorfer Baggersee. Highly frequented over the weekends but clean and clear and well-maintained. Many places to sit or lay down in the sun and relax with the whole family. Easy access by car, bike, or train. Unfortunately, swimming isn't allowed anymore.

Amazing place to sit, relax, do a barbeque, play football or volleyball on the sand court or take a dip in the lake!!

I was excited about a nice lake in the hood but found out on the weekends it's jammed packed with families, teenagers and lots of loud portable music players. But everyone is having fun so that's OK. Theres even a snack bar. The water seemed OK so I went in, swam to the middle, and on the way back to shore it began to smell just awful so I couldn't wait to get home & shower. Later I found out that the lake is for rainwater wash-off so you take your chance as to what is in the water. The district tolerates that people swim, even though there are signs indicating it's not an official swimming lake. This is because the district has no outdoor pool or lake for the residents. It was a nice dream but I don't want to risk it again. On a weekday it's nice for a walk.

Lovely place, not too crowded. No entrance fee and very close to Biesdorf Süd UBahn Station (U5)

Beautiful, natural lake! Sadly the smell, and a state of water, do not invite for swimming. It would be great to care about this place.

Nice lake for swimming yet very little place to lay down on the sand. Get crowded easily.
