It’s my favorite section along the beachfront in Biarritz center. It’s where you get away from most of the tourists and enjoy the sounds of waves and warm sunshine. Sitting there and staring at the sea for one hour is not a problem. It’s one of the most fascinating beaches in Biarritz.

A very nice beach to unwind. With shops, restaurants within 10 meters of walk, you would never run out of energy supply. Scenery is fabulous too. Bad luck for us though, we only had a few hours there...

December is a perfect month to have a quiet walk on the beach. I usually come in summer when it is too crowded.

This is also called La Grande Plage in Biarritz: Gorgeous beach with a vibrant atmosphere, perfect for sunbathing and water sports. Must-visit for its beauty and nearby dining options.

This is one of many beaches around Biarritz, with many facilities on the side . It is very popular and very big . It is very picturesque with golden sand and you can sunbathe topless . The waves are incredible but very strong so you need to be careful when you go into the water . The beach has designated areas for swimming ( red and yellow flags , under the watchful eye of the rescuers ) . It has also designated areas for surfing only ( black and white flags ) and they are kept separated so no accidents occur. You will have a great time here .

This place is so crowded, really heavy traffic, lines for everything and rude people. The beach parking is a nightmare. This is just a large tourist trap. With crowded beaches.

Directly in front of the Sofitel where we stayed, so obviously our favourite beach! Will never forget the soothing sounds of the ocean waves, the sunsets, and the fresh air! Would love to come back!

I hope that global initiatives to fight plastic in the ocean (like plasticodyssey) will reach the bays in Biarritz. The city authorities need to pay attention to this problem, since it is obvious that simply cleaning the beaches of debris is no longer enough when a continuous line of water, microplastics and the remains of fishing nets runs few meters from the beach line.
