Was not happy. Booked a room way ahead of time with the corporate rate which was not cheap to start with. Got a very small room on the first floor overlooking the parking lot. The smell of cigarette smoke overwhelmed me as I walked in. It was a handicapped accessible room with the huge shower with just 2 half glass enclosures and no curtain so as soon as open the water, entire bathroom floor was wet. Towels were thin, warned and washed out with grayish tone and did not smell fresh. Right away we asked to change the room and was offered ocean view of rooms at double the price. We refused of course, went online looked around and rented a villa, for less than the cost of this hotel room. Very happy it happened, otherwise we would not have found this villa. The hotel decor is beautiful, too bad they are charging outrageous prices for the lobby decor and not the comfort of the rooms. The staff at the reception is very nice!

This should be titled "it was the best of times, and the worst of times". The entry is impressive, check-in were lovely and the entrance photo worthy. 5 stars for the male mixologist at the bar with a connoisseur knowledge of gins that is very, very impressive.. ditto 5 stars for Eric at Concierge who is the epitome of excellence in customer service where no request is too small...but..I have never written a bad review about a hotel based on its restaurant but I am now because it destroyed our (by then) high expectations. After a 30 minute wait to order (really? Only one person can take the orders?) to a school cafeteria decor (the rooms themselves are incredibly tastefully decorated), it was when the food arrived that it hits. My partner summed it up. The food - and restaurant- is pretentious without any capacity to deliver...... overcooked, over priced and pretending they are in a different league yet without the basics to do so...like customer service, not overcooking a fish or burning the mushrooms. It was simply unacceptable and, here is the problem...it pulled this hotel down to a level that we doubt we would stay again...and that, for a hotel that DOES set such high standards is NOT acceptable either. No one should wait 30 minutes...no one should be served burnt and overcooked food and no one should pay these prices for school cafeteria standards. It didn't help they screwed up the bill either...for which we had to ask two people for and again had to wait 15 minutes for on a night that was not full.

The first time we tried to go in the pompiers were there and the hotel was temporarily shut, not their fault. The second time we were going in for a drink, the reception staff greeted us politely. We sat down and were ignored for about 5 minutes and gave up.

Superb! Great room with ocean view. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely with a great selection, and gluten free options too (and sheep's milk yogurt and cheese - great for me). Free bottled water in room and chocolates every evening. Only downside was the bar prices so we went to the cafe at the lighthouse for cocktails.

Truly gorgeous hotel in Biarritz. Make sure you head to the atrium and have at least one cocktail - it’s an absolutely stunning space. Every single detail has been considered in the design of every element, which you’ll especially notice in the rooms. I can’t wait to stay there again.

Quiet, scenic location with a view of the lighthouse. Room with terrace was small but terrace was quite large. Refined room decoration. Absolutely superb restaurant. But there are multiple issues with the bathroom. The shower floor is made of slippery metal. Water pressure is low. The sink is extremely shallow making it impossible to rinse undies, etc. out in the sink. The separate enclosed toilet area has no ventilation and is very tight. If you are tall, you will have to prop the door open. Bottom line: go fo a very short stay or for a superb dinner

The room was large ,shower, bed very good ,the hotel pool is ample to swim .The hotel is atop the hill so bare in mind you’ll have to walk back up it when you go to the beach or into town which can be tiring . I had my best sleep in this hotel on my stay in biarritz . I didn’t use the spa but it looks like a massage parlour only and facial things . Otherwise very comfy . I do feel as the hotel is just about 4/5 star ,service is probably 3/4 I expect to be spoilt at this level some complimentary treats wouldn’t go amiss and it beggars belief you have to pay for water in hotels these days . Shame on all of you …..

Good enough hotel, but it really isn't 5 star. Will not come back.

We arrived as a party of 5 to enjoy a long weekend of pampering. The hotel is well situated between the town of Biarritz and the beaches at Anglet. The rooms are well appointed and the outdoor pool is lovely. However, the hotel is over priced and lacks the atmosphere and service expected of a 5 star establishment. The Spa could reception was not always manned and could not accommodated 2 people at the same time, even when it was clear that the top spa package would be booked. The pool was late to open on several occasions, was not set up properly with umbrellas, lounger mattresses or towels, leaving patrons to arrange for themselves. The drinks were excessively expensive. Whilst friendly enough, and a comfortable stay, I wouldn't choose this hotel again.

my stay at Regina Experimental Biarritz was a true delight. If you're looking for a hotel that combines top-notch service, stunning views, and a prime location, this is the place to be. I wholeheartedly recommend it to fellow travelers and can't wait to return for another visit. Thank you to the entire [Hotel Name] team for making my stay so memorable!
