Beautiful beach and bay but for me too rough to swim in the day I was there. The beach is very sandy and long. It is next to the town so many facilities there and of course restaurants and cafes beside the beach. There looked to be an impressive public swimming pool beside the beach as well. Parking is a bit expensive but close to beach.

Great spot to watch the sunset with a bottle of wine. You’ll see some surfers riding the waves. People walking along the beach. A few cafes with terraces. The casino is right behind you if you wish to spend a couple of hours there too. 10 minutes walk to the nearest supermarket.

Beautiful beach but sooo busy!

Great hotel with fantastic choice of rooms offering space and great sea views. Within walking distance of places of interest, shops, cafés, restaurants, fantastic scenery. Restaurant, bar, heated outdoor pool. Everything one needs for a great holiday.

The most stunning, chic and happiest beach I have ever seen. I was able to park under the casino and from there, able to easily walk the beach from the lighthouse to the Virgin of the Rock. There is much laughter and music and the natural wonders of the beach and rock formations are most impressive.

There are few guards. There are also showers and garbages bin. Many restaurants and ice cream shop too. You can take mini train from here too. Not so far from garage parking and public toilets. Quite good for only sun baths, surf, Swim or just spend time together with friend and family.

The most popular beach in Biarritz, also the one packed with most of tourists visiting the city. It’s right in front of the casino and you have a car parking very close (grande plage parking), which makes it easy to get there. The beach is always very clean and in some hours of the day you can also see surfers chasing waves in some parts of the ocean.

Very nice free beach, where you can swim and surf, if you want you can rent the umbrella for 15 € per day. You have restaurants in front of the beach and a shop where you can rent surf board.

Lovely beach. Mostly sandy with shingle. Tide comes in quite far, so can get quite crowded if you sit near the life guard tower - the beach was always patrolled in the day time, and swimming was only allowed between the red and yellow flags, with the surfers outside that. Swimming area can get a bit crowded if the waves are big, which they were when we visited. Worth noting that they do ‘close’ the sea for swimming if the conditions are deemed too rough.

I hope that global initiatives to fight plastic in the ocean (like plasticodyssey) will reach the bays in Biarritz. The city authorities need to pay attention to this problem, since it is obvious that simply cleaning the beaches of debris is no longer enough when a continuous line of water, microplastics and the remains of fishing nets runs few meters from the beach line.

Beautiful Biarritz beach, nice beach mix of sand and some small shingle both OK under bare foot and nice promenade to walk and sit with extensive walks each way up and down the coast for the more adventurous.

Very nice and clean. The sand is mixed with small pebbles so it can be a bit uncomfortable laying on the beach and the waves are often too high and rough to go swimming. Ideal for surfing

Lovely small beach as the Biarritz itself. Recommended, quiet, romantic with nice people around at least in May. Nice sunsets and beacon as a plus with great natural decorations and walking paths.
