A very nice place for breakfast, full of people so there might be a small que until u get seated. The food was super good specially the way the dishes are presented. The tastes were on point with super good portion value in respect to the price. Staff were nice, quick and helpful

Looks cool, very busy and charming. However, our experience was not great. We ordered food and drinks, but took something close to an hour to get it. We had nothing on our table, and none of the people working there once asked if we maybe needed something or if everything was fine, after possibly noticing it was odd we didn't have anything. It was not until I asked where our food was that someone approached. Then, instead of telling we are sorry, I will check, we received a bit of a condescending answer. Something like how would I know, don't you see im doing something and I was not the one that took your order? When I simply asked if she could check (nicely). She went to check, came back and was much nicer. I guess, after noticing we had been waiting forever. However, we were told our food was almost ready. That it was busy. Etc etc. Instead if being honest and simply say, we forgot. I mean if all the other couples which arrived 30-40 minutes were already eating, you can tell the story does not make sense. 🤣 After some more time, which didn't feel like an "almost ready" type of situation, we finally got our food. And it was honestly very very very disappointing. My eggs were COLD, look dried as if they were leftovers? I felt bad because my girlfriends food was ok and she had also been there the week before, where she was very happy, really liked the place and it was the reason why she had brought me there ☹️ Maybe a bad day, but hey, I don't normally give bad reviews. Even if I don't like the food or don't think it is great. I usually leave 5 starrs regardless. As I think it could be just me and no reason for a bad review, but here weeeell... deserved, I lost my morning. 🤣

Great food but service and kitchen is always a nightmare, regardless of eating in the restaurant or take out. Ordered an eggs Benedict and waited an hour for it… I come here a lot because of the food but never experienced quick service here, not even during the week. Definitely a great spot in town but a lot of room for improvement!

The cafe was pretty full but we were lucky to find space. The waiters are very friendly, however the pancakes took too long. The pancakes were too much for the kids, we had to help them but still couldn't finish completely. The music was abit loud. I loved the food, was very unique, but I wouldn't go back.

I crossed Dusseldorf to visit my favourite coffee joint 'Copenhagen Coffee Lab' however they were shut because of a technical failure. So I wondered around the corner and found this place. Again very nice decor and a great setting, full of people. I only had to wait a minute since someone was just leaving. Had the NYC Bagel and a Flat White. The coffe was great, well made and tasted great. The bagel was good, pastrami, pickle soft cheese and Dijon mustard. I guess I am a purist since I was expecting a hard cheese, plus it could had more meat too. But still marking this up since the venue looks great. They do full breakfasts and bowls. If it had been later I would have gone for the chilli bowl which looked amazing.

I have to admit that my expectations were higher after so many positive reviews. To start with the coffee, flat white is mostly served like cappuccino in Düsseldorf, however here at birdie flat white was exceptionally good taste. Thumbs up! We ordered Avo Bagel with extra Egg Benedict on it. They bring an extra Egg Benedict on a slice of bread. :( Salmon Bagel was okay however I was expecting smoked salmon in the bagel, but they used cooked salmon, which was not my kind of taste, but their choice. Blueberry Pancakes were not like proper pancakes but like a sweet fluffy pastry as you can see from the pictures. Ordered white chocolate souce, didn’t receive it sadly. I would definitely visit again for good coffee but for having breakfast I had better options in Düsseldorf. Enjoy!

Super pleasant place, due to high demand they do not make reservation, but for Saturday at 11 we were able to find a spot for two rather easily. Very pleasant stuff and tasty food. I can recommend smoothie bowls, all are super tasty, and eggs benedict

The place is very nice, very popular, as I have seen a lot of people, the place being almost full of customers. They don’t have an english menu which was a bit difficult to understand and pick something but the variety of dishes was amazing, you have both sour or sweet waffles, croissants, pancakes and more.. I must add that the sweet dishes are very very sweet, so don’t order sweet syrup coffee with some sweet desserts if you don’t want to have a very very sweet escape! I loved the place, the staff very nice, very good music, I recommend!!

We went there as it got recommended by one of our friends. We ordered pouched eggs which were so over cooked and smelly. I ordered Iced latte and at the end of it I found a big black hair in my coffee. The worse part is that I ordered a smoothie which tasted so wired but I thought since it is greens it might be normal but the next day I got a severe food poisoning. Please be careful going there!

Food was average although the place was crowded. Portion was good enough. Price worthy. Staff was polite and soft spoken.

This cafe never disappoints! I have visited a few times already and plan on coming back to keep trying more dishes. The food is incredible and the portion sizes are just right. Not only is the food tasty, but it is also presented beautifully. I also love that they have lactose-free milk as an option. Looking forward to my next visit!

I ordered the vegan bagel, an iced matcha latte and the vegan carrot cake, nd let me tell you - it was one of the most delicious lunches I ever had in Düsseldorf! The staff was super friendly and they were happy to help and give recommandations :) YAY

Stopped for breakfast, had an eggs benedict and an eggs florentine which was all very nice and tasty however the eggs were overcooked and not runny in the centre. Waitress was lovely and a nice location but food was slow, by the time it arrived my large coffee had gone cold.

Best Pancake I have eaten so far. Good atomosphere and friendly staff. I highly recommend.

I had breakfast here with a friend. They have a wide offer of food, including pancakes and oats and eggs benedict. We didn't have to wait long for our food, and the taste was great!

The service and food were absolutely awesome. I will definitely be back more often. Can't wait till the summer when they open the outside cafe. The Hot Chocolate was delicious!

I like this coffee place a lot! Great coffee, tasty bliss balls and cakes, home made peanut butter! It’s a nice vegan friendly option directly in the city center with nice staff and welcoming atmosphere!

Nice atmosphere and great service. The staff speaks fluent English and is friendly. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options. We had the crunchy French toast with fruit and homemade peanut butter.. Delicious! The acai bowl was tasty as well but a bit small. You can sit inside and outside. Right in the middle of the city centre. We'll come again

Nice coffee shop, lots of choices and interesting selection of breakfast/bowls. Drinks are presented beautifully. Farmers bowl was tasty, but peas were minted (whoever decided one of the most delicate and subte vegetables went well with one of the strongest herbs ought to be shot - had this been stated on the menu I would have ordered something else, mint has no business in my breakfast) and cold Bratkartoffeln are not good in any way shape or form. Just didn't work with the rest of the dish. Some of the items were rather large, not chopped up enough for ease of eating in a bowl style. Many of the menu items were similar. Like they were designed by a barrista, not a chef. Could definitely use some culinary refinement. Service friendly and nice, but slow when busy. Asked 3 different servers for the freebie my Mr. Düsseldorf Card got me and never got it in the end. Clientele wise, very much a hipster/influencer/Kardashian lookalike vibe, so if that kind of thing annoys you, perhaps keep walking.

Great fresh healthy menu and friendly staff. Will definitely come back. Also, we came when they first opened on a Friday morning , so we didn’t have any trouble with it being too busy. We had the eggs florentine, scrambled eggs with tomorrows and herbs, a green smoothie as well as the legendary cinnamon roll. Great menu and want to come back to try some of the other options.

Delicious flat white and the avo bagel is tasty. Friendly staff, clean bathroom. Good amount of outside seating. The cinnamon bun and the energy balls looked delicious - will definitely come back to try those.

Food looks nice from other people's plates, we didn't really have the chance to taste it because it took 1h and 40 minutes of patiently waiting for it.. until we finally gave up and left. Other people that came after us, were even served before us. Never have we ever experienced such a service before! Not recommended unless you have already eaten before and have a lot of time to lose waiting!

What a super nice restaurant! Delicious dishes and really well combined. I love the smoothie bowl. This one was also very tasty. The coffee is also good and many options in terms of lactose free, gluten free etc. Friendly staff very well helped. Spacious toilets and a possibility to sit outside on the terrace. Really a must if you are in Dusseldorf!

Great breakfast/lunch spot! Our waitress spoke good English to help us with ordering. Food and drinks were quick and delicious. Have milk alternatives and marks what is vegan, vegetarian, gluten free. Clean bathroom for restaurant guests.
