Fantastic fish and chips, spent a week in Blackburn and was craving good old fish and chips, food and prices were spot on, definitely be back. Highly recommended

Best chippy I've ever been to. Takes a while at busy times but it's worth it. The owner Pete takes pride in his work, even giving things away for free. Super friendly chip shop. You can't help walking away with a smile on your face. Good menu and it tastes great.

Ahhh not been in for a long time wish I hadn't left it so long. Still smartly dressed owner behind the fryer full of whit and joy. Massive portion of fish with my chips what were lovely and even threw a free jumbo sausage on top for nowt. Defo one of the best chippys about A++++++ Many thanks

An owner or boss called Peter was really helpful and so kind I remember when I was really hungry and he gave me chips also helped me out when I was short in Money. The food is a bit expensive however it was so delicious and very warm also I really love their sausages and pies. A wonderful place with kind people and good food yummy.

Walked miles to get a John bull and they had just sold the last one!!! Totally devastated, but was told by the lovely owner to come back after 4pm and he will save me one!! My friend drove me and had a great chat and a freshly made John bull peas and gravy, the chips were given free of charge because of my walk from Revidge earlier. The best freshly cooked chips and John bull ever! I'm so happy, thanks so much! 10 out of 10 for everything, food , spotless premises and the smartest proprietor! The young lady behind the counter was lovely also! My first visit definitely not my last, only one complaint MOVE THE BUSINESS TO REVIDGE! 👍😁 The bottle of rose went very well with it!!!! 🥳 Thanks for a delicious Friday tea!!!! Yvonne

Enjoyed chippy but last week unfortunately experience was ruined by very rude worker! Muttered swear words at me multiple times and insulted my appearance, very unprofessional. Asked for her name and eventually said Savannah. Won’t be coming back unfortunately.

Food is absolutely spot on! Always lovely fresh and hot! By far the best chip shop iv been too. Excellent customer service. My go to chippy in Blackburn everytime now! Thanks for a great tea and a top service!

Never ever been disappointed with the food or service at The Wellington. Everything freshly prepared and no grease on your plate when you've finished. And the service is second to none. The owner is always chatty and full of smiles.

I was highly recommended to try this chippy and it did not disappoint, its my fav chippy now and the food is excellent and you could not meet nicer people who run it and the guy in particular is a great bloke and nothing is too much trouble for him, if you haven't been you definitely must

Called in on a local recommendation for fish and chips. Fresh cod cooked to order by a chap that really knows what he is doing. The batter was given an quick beating before the fish was battered. The best and thickest piece of cod that I have seen in a long time together with a couple of smaller pieces which would be the amount for a normal chippy. Truly excellent together with interesting political debate with the locals whilst waiting for it to cook. Excellent chips to go with it. 11 out of ten and thoroughly recommended! Smiley face thingy sign.

The John Bulls are delicious. They seem to have cutback on the spicez/pepper. This is better for us because we can taste the filling more.
