If you’re expecting a 5 star hotel this is not it. True 5 star hotels do not require bracelets, towel cards, restaurant coupons. This place is outdated with dirty rooms and old technology. I was there a few days ago and half the resort was sick, including my self. I heard a pregnant lady had to be rushed to the hospital. Ended up being a food borne illness. When customers make complaints about getting sick investigate, take these matters seriously to prevent a bigger issue instead of brushing it off and offer discounts on future visits. The views were great but unfortunately everything else was not.

Hit and miss would best describe our stay at the resort. Sometimes the service was excellent and the staff went above and beyond. Particularly the staff that hosted in the buffet hall. They were amazing and extremely helpful and friendly. Other times it definitely could used some improvements. Waiting 1+hr for lunch when others that just sat down got served and got food wasn't great at the a la carte restaurant. We ended up not getting our food and left for the buffet. We did give the a la carte another chance and it was great. The pizzas were amazing and the 7 jewels salad was awesome. The dinner reservation system for the restaurants was not good. Only got one night out of our trip and it potentially made one of us sick. Ended up just sticking to basics at the buffet for the rest of trip. We were told to avoid the elevators because they broke down regularly by other guests. Ironically avoiding them worked out as we experienced a power loss one night at the resort and the lack of emergency lighting in the hallways made it very challenging getting back to our rooms. Luckily once we got to our stairwell there was proper emergency lighting for the stairs. Was a bit concerning hearing people yelling for help out of the elevators. The emergency generators seemed to take a long time to kick in and not everything that should have been considered a vital load got power or emergency lighting. This also may or may not have lead to a resort wide sickness the next day with over half the resort getting sick. I didn't get sick but unfortunately my mother did. Ended up having to buy some meds and fluids at the gift shop. Found out later that the front desk was handing it out for free due to all the complaints. Bit disappointing this wasn't communicated. The day we left the local health department inspection team showed up. Seemed to be plumbing issues while we were there as main floor bathrooms flooded regularly into neighboring shops and hallways. The nightly shows were entertaining. The Michael Jackson one in particular was awesome. On that note though I watched, who I am assuming is the entertainment manager (the guy that comes out at the end off the nightly shows), on the pool deck belittle and lose it on a female worker. Pointing his finger at her, repeatitly poking her and getting in her face. Definitely felt lack of discretion and professionalism showed. Definitely seemed anger got the best of this employee. Might explain why some workers looked stressed. The grounds were very nice and well maintained. Was very enjoyable watching the local wildlife roaming around and putting on a show. There were lots of nice plants and flowers. The pools were very nice and the waterfalls were very nice. I felt the location was very nice being a bit outside of the rest of the resorts so it left me with a relaxed feeling. The adult only pool lacked a bar but the pool service made up for that. Pools definitely needed more umbrellas though. Our room was very spacious though a bit dated and dark. Housekeeper we had was Tomasa Flores. She was amazing and the highlight of our stay. She kept our room very clean. She even bleached our room down for a few days following my mother getting sick including the entire bathroom. Was nice to return to a very clean room that had a nice bleach and pine-sol smell. Overall I'd give the place a 3 out of five. I probably wouldn't go back though and would stay closer to the downtown area again.

Great experience! Oscar and Sara (Oscar’s daughter) were wonderful! If you have kids, keep an eye out for them in the buffet. Super friendly and helpful with kids. Everyone at this resort was especially kind and helpful. We had a really great time. Pools were fantastic, with the kiddie pool being heated so it is nice and warm for the little one.

The rooms were absolutely beautiful. Cassandra checked us in quick and she was extremely friendly. Edgar was a great bartender and was very attentive. We did have a situation with the room service. The lady was not the friendliest. But everyone else exceeded out expectations.

Hotel is in the middle of jungle which makes it more natural, romantic and exotic. I have been in many all inclusive 5 star hotels, I can say that they are great for a 4 star all inclusive hotel. Stuff and the services are very friendly, attentive, quick and kind. Food is good various, especially the ala kart restaurants are great! Only thing is that we were only able to reserve 2 times in our stay, I wish we could do more! Hotel and rooms are very clean, my husband and I felt comfortable. The only thing is that, there could be more night shows and activities for entertainment. If you are looking for a calmer and relaxed vacation, this hotel is great!

Overall, a decent experience. Food was okay but they played funny games with the nighttime restaurant. The Italian “special dinner” restaurant was not open on a Friday night…the only weekend evening we were staying. Also, one of the two elevators was out of service in our tower for the duration of our stay, making the wait for the elevator exceptionally long. Regardless if your room is ready early, they WILL NOT let you into your room prior to the 3pm checkin. Wait staff and bar staff were exceptional though and most employees were VERY friendly

Resort room is very spacious and clean. Toliet doesn't flush properly, they came to fix 2 times but still not working properly. Eventually we just removed the toilet bowl lid and flush manually. The food need some improvement, they serve almost the same food everyday at the buffet. Specialty dining is ok... the Japanese restaurant was not good. One of the worse I have ever tried. The steak house is delicious!!!! Ribeye and octopus are amazing. Overall, it is a great little resort with friendly staff, good location, right next to the beach, nice view.

The service is a mess house keeping stools my face lotion. the food is the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten they had a show it’s was a hot mess everyone walked away with their kids they were charged us for coffee cream ever though they said all inclusive on their website no restaurant only one puffy and a snack bar. The other restaurant you have to call 10am to book reservations for dinner because they have only eight tables, also it is 1hour away from the airport because of traffic you have to pass through downtown totally ridiculous place
