Strongly recommend you come here, tours in English leave on the hour every hour and go for about an hour. The tour guides are young police officers. The highlight of the tour is the 2 rooms dedicated to Pablo Escobar and the NArcos. They have some great exhibitions. They police were so excited about showing foreigners what they did and how we came to Colombia. Must come and it’s free!

Three Museums day Well today was a visit to three museums in close proximity to each other in Bogota. The military museum, the police museum and Botero Art museum. This is a collective entry as they are all about the same excellent standard, have the same amenities, all are free and all have the same pitfall of limited or lack of English signage/audio assistance. All are of a moderate size with cafes and toilets. Allow 1-2 hours for each one. Military Museum: Interesting and obviously stocked with a historical variety of firearms, cannons and a few vehicles and airframes. Well set out and presented over several floors. Police Museum: Again interesting and also well stocked with a variety of firearms over several floors. A few interesting rooms worth a look at too especially the ‘war against drugs’ room. Botero Art Museum: I am not a big fan of Fernando Botero but I must be in the minority seeing as he’s worth over $200,000,000. Anyway a really well laid out multi floored museum again. As well as a large amount of Boteros work, paintings and sculptures, there are notable pieces by Picasso, Renoir, Bacon and Monet which I didn’t expect. All in all a good day’s sightseeing.

Lots of weapons on display. For me, the most interesting part was the outside area with a helicopter and some military cars. The entry was free that day (it was a sunday). Worth a visit.

Fantastic Free Tour. Our guide Juan/John gave us a tour in English, it was enjoyable and interesting. We learnt a lot about the history of the police from a very honest point of view. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Tips are welcomed but not asked for.

Located downtown. I didn't realize it was a guided tour so I had to wait around for about 15 minutes until they found an English speaking tour guide. My guide was Oscar - pretty good English even though he said his English was quite poor! There is no charge for the guide. The famous Pablo Escobar room and a floor full of confiscated weapons - swords, guns etc. That's the reason why you have to be guided around the museum. Nice place to visit for a few hours.

This is a free activity. The museum tour is led by an active National Policeman. It takes about an hour, at which point he'll invite those that want to leave to leave and he'll continue on with those that want to stay. In the second half of the tour you'll see some real highlights like an armory with all the weapons used by the police and a roof-top viewing of the city's skyline. In the first half there is the world history of law enforcement, the development of Colombia's police force, and the story of the capture of several big criminals including Pablo Escobar. I found the museum to be extremely interesting and our tour guide was very charismatic.

Apart from not being able to walk around freely to look at what I wanted because there was a police man explaining everything to me in the museum. I also felt that he was rushing through the whole thing and skipping lots of things, so he could go on lunch. The museum had lots of interesting objects with stories behind them.

Marvellous excursion by the officers! Its exciting for an european to see how proud a country might be about its police and how glad junior officers are to explain tourists about the history of the colombian police!Very pleasant surprise!!

Very special museum in colombia, you can know the history of police in colombia, they even the trace of those narcos, they have an exhibition room of this hostorical event about pablo escobar, in the show room you can find tge clothes that escobar wore when he got arrested. the policeman inside of the museum can answer some questions about your questions of this museum. About the evolution of all the weapons and tools they used from long time ago, all the exhibitions are displayed in spanish. The building is not very easy to find, but definitely worth to visit, with the display of all the ploice flags from different countries in this museum and how they fight in a jungles, really interesting pkace to see. 很棒的博物館。免費參觀,若去波哥大很建議去參觀。有毒梟抓補的歷史展示,也有各種武器和囚車戰車等從古至今的展示。參觀時間大概需要2個多小時才能詳細了解館藏內容。

Awesome museum in Bogotá, clearly underated (particularly compared to museum like the Museo del Oro). We had a private guided tour for free. Had the chance to have details regarding the police activity and action during the Narcos period of the country, great occasion to see the "other side of the story" and different point of vue on the issue. Not only that, you have details on the police formation, evolution and their history since the beginning of the 20th Century. All of this, for free. Seriously, do not wonder anymore, this is a must do!
