We
had
our
daughters
3rd
birthday
here
last
weekend.
I
am
an
autistic
mother
of
4
nuerodivergant
kiddos
and
places
like
this
are
really,
really
hard
for
me.
I'll
be
honest,
my
oldest
is
6,
and
we
have
never
had
a
birthday
party
at
a
place
like
this.
100%
due
to
the
fact
that
I
have
meltdowns
in
excessively
loud
environments.
I
have
been
working
hard
to
step
outside
my
comfort
zone
the
last
couple
months
though
and
decided
I
wanted
to
do
this
for
my
kids
no
matter
how
hard
it
was
for
me.
Upon
entering
the
building,
we
were
pleasantly
greeted
and
ushered
to
our
table.
The
sweet
server
began
trying
to
ask
me
questions
and
I
could
tell
she
noticed
I
was
struggling.
When
I
told
her
I
am
autistic
she
was
extremely
understanding
and
made
sure
to
repeat
herself
when
I
needed
her
to
and
never
made
me
feel
uncomfortable
about
the
tears
welling
up
in
my
eyes
due
to
being
over
stimulated.
The
staff
at
this
location
made
me
feel
comfortable
enough
to
allow
myself
to
stim
and
cry
openly
so
that
I
could
be
a
part
of
this
memory
with
my
children.
Normally,
my
husband
would
have
taken
them
and
I
would
have
stayed
home
and
missed
out.
This
experience
literally
meant
the
world
to
me.
Thank
you
to
all
of
the
staff
that
helped
make
this
birthday
such
a
special
experience
for
my
family.
It
may
have
just
been
all
in
another
days
work
for
you,
but
you
gave
me
something
last
Saturday
that
meant
the
absolute
world
to
me.
A
family
memory,
all
together
for
the
very
first
time.
