As someone who has purchased two different coffee makers and had them serviced, purchases a minimum of 20lbs of beans at a time, wired both the old shop and the new one, I was offended today when I was refused service for not wearing a mask, I have had my shots, and carry proof, I have tested negative recently, I still respect everyone’s distance, this is ridiculous. I’m glad your business is doing so well that you don’t need mine.

My first choice in coffee tasting this weekend was Dawson Taylor so I went straight there after checking out of my hotel. Upon arrival, Dylann greeted me with a shining smile. I knew this was going to be a good shop. The presence of dogs also made me excited plus everyone around was so nice. The Christian music playing in the background was a plus for me. I asked Dylann for a sample of the espresso beans with a bit of vanilla flavoring, and it was very creamy plus the bold flavor of the coffee was amazing! It was still smooth despite the strength so I bought a bag of the Espresso Primo for my machine back home. I also got to try the Misty Valley drip coffee and it was interesting! Very subtle sweetness in the coffee. I love how they give you a free cup of drip coffee with your bean purchase! That only makes this experience even better! I hope to be back again someday, drink more coffee and see Dylann's beautiful smile. Thank you Dawson Taylor for an awesome experience!

I roam some days close to the DT Roast and having a well made 2×caramel Latté, and a Chi Tea Brevé, makes for great brewery experience. Their Baristas are pleasent, courteous, and efficient with their professional attitudes and provide the coffeehouse motif style service you'd expect from a I'm a 41 year Idaho native, (11/30/20//), and yet I feel as coffee houses now days don't meet the standards that DT Roast brings to this community of Boise, but in this community, DT is meant to stay right where it is. Thx to all the barista employees for their professionalism, and a few management guys, who know how to bring back real rustic flare to the older parts of my hometown, and I just want to welcome DAWSON TAYLOR Roast to my community.

I really like this place, not only because of the great coffee they make and sell but also because the staff is friendly, helpful and can explain the various coffees they sell. The Cafe employees are not there to just make and sell drinks but they are also knowledgeable on the various kinds of coffee they sell. Sounds strange to point this out but many cafe employees don't know anything about the beans they sell, which is extremely annoying.

Enjoyed some Dawson Taylor coffee as I walked around Freak Alley. Some of the best coffee in the Valley! Awesome, friendly staff who make a fantastic latte!! Definitely going again!

I ordered and paid for a large drip and received what I later realized was the medium size, which was disappointing, but I was in a rush and didn't have time to go back and show them my receipt. Also, not a fan of paper straws! They disintegrate so quickly and taste bad. The coffee, however, was good.

I love the new remodel of this location. They’ve brought in so much natural light and it gives a whole new atmosphere. Loving the new summer menu, in particular the Hempchata! Can’t wait to take some of the coffee classes that are offered too!

Staff was very helpful. Did not have readily available what I was looking for (whole beans) , but they suggested an alternative. Will use them again.

there are 16 oz is a lb... coffee is great...better than great... pricing is another story... need to have 1 price for 1 lb...and 12 oz bags not add 2 prices to get to a pound... just respectfully...

OMG the best Cappuccino I've had since Europe! No joke! I even yelled out to the Barista how good it was (I lived in Europe for six years, I know a good cappuccino). They were renovating, so ambiance, was ..... ,but coffee was so good!

I try to avoid dairy and one early morning when was still a bit sleepy I asked for a Turmeric Latte and forgot to ask for oat milk. They were just finishing the latte with whole milk when I realized my mistake and they immediately whipped up a new drink. The baristas couldn’t be kinder every time I go in, but this was above and beyond. I love this cafe and recommend it to all of my friends. Thank you!!

Very nice owner. We stopped here on our bicycle tour to grab a coffee and figure out a game plan for safely riding out of Boise and the owner actually took the time to help us figure out a safe route. The coffee was great as well!

The coffee here is not terrible. As an at-home barista, I enjoyed the espresso made with their beans. I did have more trouble with channeling than other brands, but the taste was still good. The low rating comes from their unwelcoming atmosphere and horrendous customer service. My initial experience with Dawson Taylor left me feeling unwelcome, almost embarrassed. I was not familiar with their buying process for whole beans, and the barista at the counter made me feel horrible when I asked simple questions. The general feel of their coffee bar is also... empty? Dry? Dark? No big deal, I figured it was just an off day for them. A week later I called and spoke with Megan about ordering whole beans to be delivered at my home. She quickly lectured me about how the point of doing online orders is to free up "labor" so they can afford to deliver at home. Because of this, they could not deliver orders made over-the phone or fill requests for 1lb bags instead of 12oz. Today I have found better service, ambiance, and coffee beans at another local roasting company.

Cute, simple set up. Friendly employees, great coffee. We tried both Irish cream and lavender lattes and both were great, especially considering how difficult lavender can be.

Why does no one know about this place? It's awesome. It was empty when I went in and I hope the business is doing okay. I came in and since I didn't see my go to caramel macchiato I didn't know what to get. The barista was the friendliest human I have ever met. She said she'd be my coffee therapist which made me lol and then walked me through the whole menu and asked what things I like and don't like and steered me toward their pecan praline latte. Apparently she makes the syrups for the drinks herself. Handmade ingredients for drinks, like real butter and pecans? What? No wonder my drink was seriously AMAZING. I loved it so much. They don't really have any food and I was bummed I couldn't get anything other than a bagel. Still, the coffee is so worth it. I will be back and I hope other people come too so this place can stay open.

Great coffee, the two ladies working were amazing! We had a latte, nitro cold brew and got some whole bean coffee. They ground the coffee for us as well! Definitely recommend!
