The last i was here the place wasn't ready yet. But, now it is! The parking for private vehicles such as motorcycle and cars are closed to the ticket counter, but parking for bus are far. The visitors from the bus parking area must take. A few steep stairs to reach the ticket counter. The ticket prices are 40K rupiah for 12 and up in the Weekend. There is no discount for students. I don't know about the ticket price for foreigners. The restaurant now has a little cafe that served freshly brewed coffee and chocolate type of beverages. The views from the restaurant are amazing, you can see the whole city, including prambanan temple from up there if the sky are clear. You should definitely go here for a quiet stroll in the morning or in the evening so you can see the beautiful sunset. The place is large enough so you won't often bump to another visitors while here. The stairs to go to the gate (Gapura) of the sites are great and not steep and has benches every few steps. The view along the steps in the staircases and in the sites even in the parking lot are stunning. But, mind you even tho this site are really large the toilets are only in a few spots. So, you need to look around when you're strolling so you'll know where to go when you're really need them. As the site are large, there are some sites that are closed because of unknown matters and a few area that can't be seen because of construction. Other than that you can see gapura, situs pembakaran, keputren, miniatur candi, dan tempat mandi easily. There are many benches scattered along the areas and the benches are located in shady locations too so it's really convenient. There are a few of gardu too for people with families that can seat together under one roof. Mainly, they located in the park before the gapura.

The view was amazing. I really enjoy my time here with my beloved one. Too bad we didn't have much time to explore more.

I have been there for 3 times and never get bored since it provides great view of sunset. The place itself is quite huge and not only including the gate (the popular one) but there are also ponds, some part of 'keraton ratu boko', and a large field.

The best place to watch sunset, i have been there two times. Ratu Boko is not a temple, but a remains of a palace. Ratu Baka is often called Kraton Ratu Boko. From the temple we can see Prambanan Temple, because the temple was being on upland.

One of heritage site in Yogyakarta, not as popular as Prambanan temple, but I think it has better ambience and scenery. The best time to go here is above 3pm. I recommend you to watch sunset here, at least once in your lifetime, because it's so beautiful. It's not located on main road like Prambanan temple, so if you don't bring any vehicle, you can go here by shuttle fro Prambanan Temple.

Not as famous as borobudur or prambanan temple, but because of good maintain, this place realy suit for sunset hunting. At the top of mountain makes the view is so beautiful. Great for healing, the road to come here isn't hard at all too. Historically beautifu👍

A large complex of historical site that offers a great view since it's located on the hill. There's a restaurant here that you can chill and view the city landscape. Sad that the historical site didn't come with detailed inscriptions and a better sign system to give thorough explanations to the visitor so we only see the ruins and couldn't visualized the details vividly of what once was a great palace.

me and my wife really love this place. not so huge archaeological complex. takes about 1 -1.5 hour if you want to explore all the area. The management have a picnic package, we took the package and we really loved it. Food was great, consist of snacks and local drinksh. Kindly search "boko picnic" or "ratu boko picnic" on instagram/google if you want to booked for a picnic package. place 8.5/10 picnic experience 9/10

Bought combo Ticket to Ratu Boko + Prambanan. The trip to ratu boko comes with complimentary shuttle bus ride from Prambanan to Ratu Boko . The journey from Prambanan to Ratu Boko is about 4km++ . It’s quite far .. so It’s really worth it to buy the combo ticket .. save the hassle of booking transportation.. because it’s rainy day on my visit day, the view was kind of cloudy but the complex is big. Just a pity that they don’t provide shuttle bus till late afternoon. Currently the shuttle bus from prambanan to ratu Boko ends at 1pm. So if you want to use shuttle bus ride , suggest to go early so that you make utilise your time well.
