SPA day...don't waste your time and money! Overlooks a housing estate and car park. Road works(painting and burning) were ongoing during our visit. The smell and noise was overwhelming not a relaxing spa treat. Nothing to wash others sweat from seats in thermal journey rooms🤢 and only cold showers in this space🥶signage to shower before after each use is ignored due to this. Changing rooms have zero privacy space unless you want to dress or undress in a lavatory 🤢 Nobody asks if you have been before or how your visit was. Staff are rude. I asked 3 members of staff to close the door as it was cold whilst waiting for treatment. 2 ignored me and the third refused as she is collecting people for treatments. I had closed the door myself after each entered but they continued to l AVE it open, total ignorance. Only one water source at thermal journey, nothing in change rooms or reception. Perhaps transportation for water from its source would help

A beautiful hotel with fantastic spa facilities. The place is family friendly with clean changing rooms including family rooms with large lockers for safety. The spa also provides floats and armbands for the little ones. I extremely loved the aromatherapy room and the hydro pool which then leads outdoors! Nothing like a relaxing soak with a breath of fresh air! The swimming pool is family friendly and they have the left side of the pool specifically for families so no one can get in the way of the children/babies. My children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and did not want to leave. Fresh towels are also provided. I will definitely be booking a stay aswell next time I visit again. We also went for a walk at the little village at the back of the hotel. A wonderful toy shop, tea room, Pottery store and much more! Parking is also fantastic, big and lots of space! I cant wait to visit again!

Me & my partner Richard had a long weekend at the start of Jan to start the year of right, travelling down Scotland. Would not recommend staying here in a hurry! Though it looks set to be a retirement village at any moment! A few of many issues in such a small space of time! Unpleasant experience is an understatement. Building site, not clean surfaces… can see the grime build up! Needing more than just a lick of paint, broken spa showers, changing room showers in both changing rooms 2/3 are broken/cold & dirty, dirty lockers inside & out, broken tiles, tan all over the walls, hair all over the place, cleaners occupying toilet on phone, management & cleaners swanning around with dirty shoes around the pool, spa reception staff that give no reception… look more like the staff here, really don’t want to be here! Rude & unpleasant management not only to me & my partner, but to each other! Gerry & Diane didn’t know left foot from the right foot! Accusing me of not paying for food even showing the receipt. Rather wish I got a refund of the food, as it favoured a microwave meal! Feel so sorry for the young staff here, almost look neglected with the lack of uniform & clearly training… which I think management need more of! Think a few of the relics need to retire, set in old ways clearly! Hotel dated, high drink prices, low drink choice, lack of consideration for not offering to take my bags up the stairs… just walk on by and watch us struggle?! Gone are the days of this hotel being any way luxury! On par with a travel inn with a paddling pool in a car park with Las Vegas signs as you enter! Would recommend Emerson take a good hard look at the management and turn this place around. Has a lot of potential, just extremely neglected. Only good thing was the country side walks we went on to escape!

I had to be in the area early one morning so used this place as a base. The facilities are great and the rooms very comfortable. The girl on reception was welcoming but I felt she rushed through the booking in process even though we were the only people checking in. The bar staff were efficient but need a bit less robotic. . The spa was good although it felt more like a public baths as you could only book a 50 min slot to use the pool.

Went to The Drop Inn for brunch, so cannot comment on the rooms. The Inn has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were welcoming, polite, pleasant and helpful. The food was lovely, but a little on the expensive side. Eggs benedict cooked perfectly (could do with more sauce) and the bacon and sausage were particularly tasty. The toilets were clean and well equipped. The Inn is disabled, pram and dog friendly. Lovely little village to have an explore of, especially if you like old architecture. Will definitely be visiting again!

We stayed here for the spa overnight experience. The hotel is lovely in some places needed a bit of TLC but still a lovely place to stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable beds. service was fantastic! We didn't have enough robes and slippers in the room so we called reception and there was a knock on the door within 5 minutes with the delivery of the robes. The spa is amazing, plenty of steam rooms and saunas to choose from. The pools are amazing the only downside about the infinity pool is the view of the houses opposite but it didn't spoil the pool once we was in there. The food is amazing! We had dinner in the courtroom restaurant the service was great, staff were friendly and helpful and the food was 10 out of 10. The breakfast buffet in the morning was fabulous, a choice of everything and was really fresh. Will definitely visit again. Very good value for the spa and hotel experience.

When we arrived we thought the place looked lovely! Check-in was at 2pm to which we were told our room wasn’t ready - lots of other people were in the same situation. We were told to stay seated in the bar area and that they would come through to let us know when our room was ready. It got to 3pm and we hadn’t heard anything so I went to the reception and queued again. When I got to the front the lady said our room cards had been put back as we had left the bar area. We stayed seated the whole time and nobody had tried to find us. They weren’t apologetic at all and didn’t offer much guidance on where to go or what is here. We then missed our spa slot due to waiting for our room but luckily the spa staff were friendlier than the reception staff and moved our slot. The spa was overcrowded and we didn’t get to have the full spa experience as we couldn’t get into the hydro pool. The steam room had loose tiles which slipped off as my mum got up. The room was really hard to find and not very well signposted. Our room was very outdated for a 4 star hotel and for the price. Could’ve done with a revamp or some new accessories. I feel we would’ve had a better nights sleep at a youth hostel. The reading lights next to the bed weren’t working on either side and there was also a large gap under the door in the room so you could hear everything going on in the other family rooms. Carpet was really worn and the fabric tub chairs are filthy. The single bed in our room had yellow stains on the sheets. The list goes on!!! There was hair in the shower prior to us using it and purple stains on the shower curtain. On the plus side, we had tea in the drop inn and was served by Aidan who was lovely! Food was gorgeous in the drop inn and service was great. Bread at breakfast was soggy, guessing it had just been defrosted.

Our car got stolen from the hotel parking lot and staff were unable to help. Their security measure is low. Accessing to CCTV is difficult as they require us to send an email to their headquarter to check and all we got as automatic response. We couldn’t get the CCTV footage and give detail to police when/how it was stolen. Hotel staff weren’t helpful and couldn’t care less. They didn’t show any concern. We had to take taxi back to Manchester city. The room is dated and pricey for what it is. Furniture looks old. Door needs to be slammed shut to fully close it. My night sleep was ruined by groups of loud drunk ladies in the corridor. Wall is thin so you can hear everything. The place is too busy and it requires time booking to do everything. We had to book spa, pool, dinner and breakfast time and also had to pay extra for bath robe and other small amenities(which I think should be included in the hotel room). The fact that everything needs to be done at planned time stresses the holiday mood. Unlikely to return here again and do not recommend it to anyone.

Very nice hotel. The service is excellent. The roms are really nice and comfortable, and the beds are lush. Bathroom, very nice, only negative is the metal shelf was loose, need fixing, one pillow had a rip, and mark in the colour sheet. Overall, it was a really great experience for my birthdays. THANK YOU!!

Attended a charity event on Saturday 2nd Dec and had a fantastic evening. The food was lovely, hot and served very quickly by very nice staff. We have been here before and as usual the rooms are clean and comfortable with a great bathroom. My only complaint is that they are too warm inside, even for this time of year. We were unable to turn our radiator down so we thought the temperature would automatically turn down while attending the event. We returned to our room around 2am to find it so hot. We opened the bathroom windows but it didn't help really. Other than this we wouldn't fault it. Breakfast was very good and more than enough to start your day. We remember the manager from our last visit as as always he works so hard to make sure everyone is looked after and served well. Well done to all the staff for making our stay a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

Went for an afternoon tea experience with my partner for our anniversary. It was awesome, lovely views, excellent customer service, gorgeous views and magnificent food and drink. The only thing for us that let our experience down was that we didn't have the opportunity to stay the night (due to other commitments) to enjoy the full variety of things that this place has to offer. Oh well there is always next time, we look forward to booking with you again soon.

Overall hotel and staff great but rooms have paper thin walls in so you can hear everything from other rooms. The doors have huge gaps without seals. Pretty basic decor. Although we’ve been back before I think we may try somewhere else next time.

Service was top notch, exec room had a good capacity for four of us but the fourth 'camp bed' was rickety and noisy with the occupant struggling to get comfortable and the creaking of the metal ended up waking everyone when they tossed and turned. The whole place is in need of a lick of paint and some refreshing... It was enjoyable and the food in the main restaurant excellent but the new housing estate isn't shown on any of the advertising so was a bit of a shock on arrival and also viewing the car park and housing estate from the outside thermal pool wasn't the most pleasant..

Nice hotel on what seems to be a really large site. The staff are really helpful and pleasant, efficient too. The food is good if a little more expensive but really worth the extra. I only stayed in rooms in the main building so can't speak for the many others they have. These main building rooms are the oldest and some show their age, could do with a refresh soon. But nothing was broken except for windows that don't close properly (43). Comfortable beds, really hot water, fast Internet and decent TV's so all good actually.

The Spa Day was really nice and relaxing. The leisure centre staff polite and knowledgeable, beauty therapist professional - I really liked the choice of oils and cosmetics based on my smell preference! The afternoon tea had some bumps like over whipped dessert but the restaurant staff was lovely and rectified it right away for us. I would definitely go back!

Clean bathroom, comfortable bed, good internet connection. However, our breakfast order was not collected overnight so we had to rush to reception to hand the order in. When we received it, a couple of items were missing and they didn’t bother to tell us or offer us anything else. The food was cold and I couldn’t eat most of it. It certainly wasn’t value for money. The room was grubby. Dirty carpet, dusty and cobwebs hanging all around the ceiling. And what looked like tea or coffee stains splashed on the walls and skirting boards. We left a day early because I was so upset and angry. There are lots of really good reviews online for this place, it’s why we booked it. But looking online at the bad reviews, I see others have experienced the same issues. Such a shame as it does look so inviting on arriving. It was quite comical seeing heads popping up from the outdoor spa when we pulled up into the car park. With the nearby houses overlooking this, I’m glad that’s not what we had stayed there for. We stay in the area often, sadly we won’t be returning to The Last Drop.

My two sisters and I booked a spa day, as a birthday treat. We chose the “be restful” treatment, ~ back massage and express facial. I can’t fault anything, the whole experience was lovely, Maria, in particular was fantastic, such a lovely young lady, and a wonderful masseur. The whole day was super, the afternoon tea, totally delicious! Just one tiny gripe, my two sisters would have appreciated a private area for undressing! the staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Lovely hotel and spa , we were on a spa weekend 4 adults, excellent value for money and well looked after with all treatments on offer hotel excellent we were in a cottage style room which was superb with massive king size bed and proper sitting area with couch and chairs in, room was massive, evening meal and breakfast food was really spot on with good service off the staff . Will definitely be using this lovely hotel and spa again.

We booked a table in the restaurant, the staff were very welcoming and efficient throughout our stay. The meal was absolutely delicious and there were four clean plates when we finished. We couldn't fault the service in any way. We had a starter between the four of us and then the main meal, the experience was absolutely fabulous and we would definitely visit again. 😀

Found this place last minute manged to get a room full spar treatment and use of all other spare facilities which are amazing. The hole facilities are clean and all staff members extremely nice and friendly most of all helpful couldn't ask for more. Due to that reason we book an extra night .Now the massage was once again amazing extremely clean and my therapist listened to my needs and was attentive. The food again presentation was on point and tested like it looked. I'll recommend both restaurants. The rooms were clean and had everything u needed and if you need more they have 24hr room service and bar too. In short me and the wife enjoyed our stay and thank all the staff, we will be making this somewhere we go regularly. Price compared to others online is cheaper but that's not a reflection on there quality. Would make an amazing wedding venue which they do .

Every member of staff we spoke to were polite and made us feel most welcome. The place itself is lovely. All the food we had was really nice. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The spa facilities were great and the massage was the best I've ever had. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and will be going back and hopefully for a longer stay.

Stayed one night in their standard double room with dinner, and breakfast. The room was immaculate, with plenty of storage and the usual tea/coffee making facilities. Bed was clean and comfortable and bathroom was also spotless. Vegan dinner and breakfast was delicious, and the restaurant staff were very attentive. All staff from restaurant, to bar and reception were very friendly.

Stayed one night with friends for a 40th birthday, booked spa treatments, evening meal and breakfast the next day. On arrival we noticed the windows were open in our room (odd for November) but there was a slight fishy odour, the rooms looked clean and the beds were comfortable. We headed straight to the spa which was lovely, though the treatments let it down. We booked a package 55mins and honestly the facial felt like 10min and the massage 15, book full treatments if you really want to relax not the packages. We returned to our rooms to get ready for dinner and it smelt like there was an issue with the drains, as we were rushing for the birthday meal we shut the bathroom door and presumed it would go. In the morning we both woke feeling sick and the smell was unbearable, we reported it to reception who said they would send someone up. We then asked a second time for staff to come to the room so they could see for themselves. The female staff member agreed it was bad and said we were allowed to use the spa to get ready as the room was unbearable. We were told that the level of management in the hotel were not authorised address the complaint as they would like and that it would be passed to the manager on Mon 13th Nov. Fast forward to 27th Nov I am still unwell and am now awaiting lab results for whatever I caught from the hotel. The doctor has confirmed it is gastro enteritis but we need to know what bacteria or parasite is present to move forward with treatment. We have contacted the hotel director and the manager and now another new manager, all with no response. We stayed in room 31. We did enjoy the food in the restaurant, varied menu and the staff in this area were friendly and helpful. Setting is ok but you do feel overlooked in the spa looking straight out onto houses.

First time here and it was amazing. Good wedding venue. There are small shops and a bar, great village to walk around, would be alot better in the summer. Standard of the rooms were good. For us the reception staff were none attentive. The lady that was booking us in was still dealing witha problem from guests that arrived before us. I thought this was rude as it took twice as long to get booked. There were no smiles or welcoming greeting. Still a great place.

Overall we had a nice stay. The pool was great, and spa facilities although a bit busy at times. The front of house, very polite man, who showed us to our table for dinner and breakfast was great. Food was great. Bar service great. Rooms could do with a bit of updating and cleaning needs more attention to detail, our room was not ready at 2 either. My husband enjoyed his treatment, mine felt a bit slap dash, lady doing mine was very heavy handed, lots of banging going on, lights on, not a very relaxing experience to be honest. The door from pool to thermal suites was broken so it didn't open all the way, I hit my head entering the thermal suit area, actually quite badly, it still hurts now (3 days later). It's a good job it was me and not an older person, they could have really hurt themselves, definitely needs more staff checking things like that and towels being left on lounging beds. I told the spa staff about the door and they had propped it up with a chair and they were very apologetic, and they were also very polite when we first arrived at the spa. But unfortunately I now have a sore head and have come home not as relaxed as I had hoped, for a birthday weekend away.

I booked a spa day with afternoon tea for myself and my daughter. My mindful treatment was really excellent, probably the best facial treatment I've ever had. Leanne was friendly, very professional and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The afternoon tea was lovely too. Friendly staff and great food highly recommended !

Loved this place. The room was large and well presented. The spa was great. Lots of different steam and sauna choices and a pool too. The hot pool actually opened up into the outdoors and was a great feature. Food was lovely in the evening and the buffet breakfast was excellent with tons of choice. The staff were really helpful and went out of their way to help. Will definitely be going back.

Lovely stay. Used NHS thank you of £99 per couple. Our room was lovely, 2 course evening meal included and breakfast. Food was fabulous, cooked well and very good quality and choice for breakfast. Loved the free use of spa facilities, enjoyed the aroma room and thermal pool. We had a late breakfast so we could use the facilities in the morning as well. Excellent value for money and will certainly be on our list for a return visit 🥰

Me and my husband got married in the Harmony Suite at Last Drop on 25/02/22 and couldn't have had a better experience. Jaqueline was our wedding planner and she was beyond amazing, nothing was too much for her and having her there to guide us was amazing. She called frequently to check in and make sure we were doing okay and made us feel so welcome and listened to. Nasser was our MC and he was brilliant too, he was efficient and made sure we were happy with every aspect of the day as it progressed. Every single member of staff were kind and considerate, they made our stay so good we never wanted to leave. The food was brilliant and the room looked amazing. I can't wait for us to see all the pictures as the scenery is the perfect backdrop. We will most definitely be coming back, hopefully very soon, and staying for a weekend. Thanks to everyone at Last Drop for making our day perfect for us, we appreciated everything so much!!!!

Incredible, such a beautiful place. Food was amazing and staff were so friendly! The room was worth every penny and I've never been so relaxed, the spa was so clean and well maintained. The little village shops have the best old world charm and even in the rain it was still so enjoyable, especially when lit up at night! I will be recommending to everyone and cannot wait to stay again.

Fab night away last night with my sister and daughter..... our room was clean and comfy, spa and pool are nice, (shame about the new housing estate) view. We all really enjoyed our delicious 3 course meal and breakfast was hot, plentiful and delicious (apart from the mushrooms).. My third stay here and can't wait unless next time..

Booked a day spa with my wife, Great staff very friendly & helpful. Gym was decent a few machines not working, spa had everything you would expect including a good sized pool. The hydrotherapy pool could do with a clean as some of the tile had green on them. The massage was OK nothing special but not bad. The afternoon tea was very nice all in all a good experience.

Customer service was amazing, even found a candle for my partner's birthday cake and sang to her. Accommodation was amazing, a delightful cottage. Spa was nice but does need an upgrade. Gym was clean and tidy. Restaurant was amazing but definitely book in advance. Will book again soon

We had day pass for spa, afternoon tea and hot stone massage. Both therapists were excellent. Loved the spa facilities and hydro pool. Afternoon tea was delicious. Would definitely go back. Only slight negative got given stained towel but staff changed. Did see cleaner dragging used towels along floor to clean. Only criticism

What a place!!! Had an overnight package deal and what a deal! Spa facilities, 2 course meal and overnight accommodation. Everything about this was perfect! Staff are so friendly and accommodating, the food was amazing and the spa was everything that you need. Would have given the five stars, but for a few negative (more housekeeping) but on the whole, will definitely be coming again. Must say though, the panoramic views are at the back now and not when you are in the infinity pool (looks over houses now) but still a great place.

The venue was very clean and the staff where outstanding. The toilets where extremely clean and well kept and the drinks where reasonably priced. I found the bar nearby the reception desk to be very relaxing and extremely comfortable and when you ask for a pint of diet coke it's not even a millimetre out. There was nothing wrong with the food it just wasn't yoo my taste

I stayed overnight as I was attending an event there. Firstly, the staff were really helpful and friendly, with no issues there. I stayed in one of the older rooms and it wasn't the best hotel room I've been in. Probably due a refurbishment, to be honest. Lots of loose threads around the borders of the carpets, patches of black mould on the sealant in the bathroom, stained toilet bowl ( due to age rather than lack of cleaning), ill-fitting shower screen resulting in large puddles of water on the bathroom floor. There were three radiators in the room, but only one worked, (two were missing the thermostatic vavle). The bathroom lock had at some point been broken off from the door and was glued into place (probably needs a new door, to be honest). There was no handset for the (very small) TV. On the good side the room and bed were very large, lots of very hot water, very quiet and I got a good night's sleep. We had a meal in the restaurant which was good, I'm vegetarian and there wasn't a fantastic choice but I managed to find something. Public areas were clean and comfortable. Overall, it was adequate for one night's stay, but I won't be returning.

Liked the serene setting, overall ambience for a nice mid term holiday. The green walks surrounding the Property was an exhilarating experience. Enjoyed our stay with Family. Positive vibes overall. Nature lovers would most certainly enjoy for a quite vacation. Would recommend & like to visit again.

Lovely hotel with great facilities. We stayed one night, had dinner in the Courtyard restaurant and breakfast there in the morning. The room we stayed in was a little bit dated but apart for that everything was perfect. All the staff were very nice and helpful, the facilities in great condition. The food was lovely. We used the spa in the morning which was also great, well maintained to a high standard. I definitely recommend this hotel for a romantic getaway and we will come back!

Beautiful setting and lovely spa! We’ve booked a Black Friday deal a couple of times and it’s been wonderful. I’ve also been on a hen weekend. The food is amazing and the facilities are great. Lots to do and see in the grounds. The spa is well equipped and the outdoor hydro pool is just incredible.

Nice hotel with decent food, and good buffet breakfast. Good value if you can get a B&B deal etc. Rooms were clean and a decent size. Spa with sauna , steam room and giant jacuzzi pool plus large swimming pool were lovely though check opening times. Staff friendly. Hypnos beds were comfy but pillows quite hard- it would be good if there was a firm and softer one to choose from. Also couldn't see a way to change room temp but we could open the window. Good they welcome dogs too. Sound proofing between rooms wasn't great but no one was too noisy next to us. Have stayed before and would go back.

  • 5/5 Steve W. 1 year ago on Google
Nice, comfortable place to stay. Rooms are spread out in a big complex. Reception staff would make your arrival a better experience if they escorted you to your room. Rather than only offering a verbal guide. A badly signed treck across the rain drenched garden dragging suit cases took the edge off our experience. Service was good. We thought our booking included breakfast but it didn't. Maybe Booking dot Com need to make it clearer.

Very nice place to visit. Spa treatments are very relaxing . Staff accommodating as much as possible, and they were absolutely brilliant !!!! Only concern was previously access to Jacuzzi due to shaky handrails, ( I didn't try it this time, but I do have disabilities), and the slope leading up to the Firwood suite which is steep and low visibility at night. ( not ideal for those with disabilities or mobility challenges). However, ALL in all, very pleasant stay, really nice atmosphere and extremely kind staff. Despite my disabilities, I always enjoy going to The Last Drop Village and would love to be able to visit again. Thank you very much.

Excellent all round. I’ve been staying here weekly for a few years now and it keeps getting better. The food and drink and facilities are great but what really makes this hotel is the staff and service. Special mentions to Lauren and Leanne on reservations and Regan and the team on front desk. Keep up the great work guys. I’ll be back next week!

Welcomed by a lovely young lady at the reception, so helpful and made us feel so welcome. Another lovely lady showed us our way to the cottage too, it was a maze, but we loved it. The room was spacious and had or of the facilities we needed... Even a hairdryer! Greeted with a ice bucket of champagne and chocolate's. The restaurant did amazing food, I especially loved the fish and chips, cooked lovely, the fish was so tender. Again the lady on the bar was so friendly, we had a great laugh. The sauna spa was awesome! The outside bit with waterfall was a great touch! Thank you so much for making our time there extra special. We will be booking again in the up coming months as it was that good. Thank you to all your team!
