I am a member of the British Garden Centres and i must say I absolutely love the Bolton Garden Centre. I usually book soft play for my children and they have the best time, it is only £1.50 for an hours play. They have a brilliant seating area where you can watch your children play through a glass wall. There is also a garden at the rear should we fancy sitting outside. I love sitting after ordering a fresh cream cake and a hot chocolate to relax with while my children play. Also, the Christmas display is out on show now! It is spectacular! An amazing and beautiful display done by the staff at Bolton. I cant wait to visit again!x

We haven't been here for quite some time. It's mid Autumn but not yet Halloween and yet everywhere is gearing up for Christmas, including here. I don't want to focus on that though. Autumn is still a time to enjoy the garden and the countryside, you just need a jumper and some waterproofs. With that in mind, a visit here is definitely worthwhile. There is a huge selection of plants and shrubs for this time of year. More importantly they all seem well tended and healthy. If you're after that statement piece, there are some amazing examples including the horse in the picture although you will have to part with a significant amount of money for that one. There's an extensive range of paving, pots and accessories. On top of all this there is a good selection of indoor items including clothing and toys. With a restaurant, rest rooms, a large car park with good access it has everything you need. I took some pictures to try and show what it has to offer for the garden.

Great little garden centre, restaurant on site (with soft play area) which was a really tasty meal. Lots of plants with some great prices and offers

I love visiting this garden centre now, the staff are lovely, there are many different choices of things to purchase (not just gardening items and plants) and the restaurant is a great place with a wide choice of food and drinks! I’ve visited the restaurant twice now for lunch on my own between my client meetings and both experiences I have really enjoyed and felt very comfortable as a single diner.

Called in to look at the plants and pots as we are in the process of redoing our garden, after deciding what we wanted to buy we went into the cafe as the three of us hadn't had breakfast. We sat down looked at the menu and decide to have breakfast, I went to the till to order and the man at the till was chatting to a woman as he was making her drinks, she paid and they continued to chat, when she walked away he asked what I wanted and I asked for three breakfasts. He told me breakfast was only until 11am and I was too late, it was then 11:01am, there was no allowance for the fact he had been chatting as I was waiting, or even a sorry we only serve breakfast until 11am, I was just told your too late. I decided if this was their customer service then we would take our custom somewhere else, which we did. Had a lovely meal and bought all our plants, pots and rocks at another garden centre, we will not be returning or spending our money here as they obviously don't need our custom.

A well stocked garden centre with a wide variety of plants and accessories. The restaurant serves traditional home cooked dishes at a reasonable price. Easy access by car with a lot of parking and a dedicated kids play area for young children

The actual garden center is quite small compared to others but I can see it serves locals for general gardening items. We visited to use the cafe and soft play. Sadly the soft play had shut at 3pm. The gent who served us in the cafe was excellent. Polite, friendly and efficient. Amazing customer service from him.

I love this garden centre and pop in probably once a month as it's not local to me. There is a huge range of plants, both indoor and outdoor, plus loads of pots in varying sizes. They have garden furniture, a clothing section, loads of beautiful gifts and after all that perusing, a wonderful cafe. Highly recommended 😁

Order came slightly wrong in the cafe (white bread instead of brown) and the chilled items from the kids meals weren't actually chilled (jelly and milkshake), but other than that it was a nice visit. Soft play is handy, and there was a good selection of items in the garden centre itself.

Beautiful garden centre. You can buy almost everything there. From plants to decoration in your home. Clothes and gifts. There is so much to see. They also have a lovely restaurant and the food is amazing. I Will definitely go again

A big garden centre in Bolton. Lots of already grown flowers and grasses available here. If you wished to grow from scratch, seeds are available near to the till. Also, you can find all you need for your garden, such as garden gloves, pipes, and furniture. I believe I will come again very soon.

Visited with a friend who has a toddler. Had lunch which was delicious. Staff friendly. Used the soft play area which is minimal charge and spent hours playing. Bought a few items as well. All in all a lovely little place to visit.

Restaurant looks nice but in fact was filthy. Food stuck on the condiments, dirty cultery. When I went to get a hopefully clean fork I was greeted by this sight. A filthy cloth used to clean tables right next to the cultery. Shameful lack of regard for basic hygiene. I dread to think what goes on in the kitchen.

Visited in a Sunday for a children’s party and went to the cafe to get a coffee and flapjack. The serving staff were so lovely, really personable and a real credit to the place.

A great garden centre with a vast selection of outdoor and indoor plants. Plants are well looked after, healthy and displayed with care. Clothes and gifts also stocked along side a cafe and play area for small children. Years ago when my son was little he used to love riding in the car trollies. We always purchase our grit and gravel from here, with frequent offers available. Well worth a visit.

Called at Bolton garden centre for my dinner today. Chose from the specials board, braising steak with chips and veg. Old fashioned like me, and very tasty. And a quick look around the plants to finish. Ample parking. What’s not to like. Will be back next time I’m passing.

Been here with my toddler son as they have a soft play area at the back of the cafe which I was unaware of, he loves it very safe and secure all contained in one area it's great and only £1.50 which is excellent value for an hour's play. Great coffee haven't eaten there but looks lovely food and clean dinning area staff very friendly. Garden centre is well stocked with childs play things clothes and lots more ample parking, Nice little garden centre local to me.

Well stocked and good prices! I wish the would redo the cafe! Too dark and would be great with an outdoors sitting area.

Unwelcoming staff, or perhaps they are just rude to anyone who isn't over 50? There were no signs stating that customers had to adhere to a one way system, but a member of staff in the entrance hall yelled 'HELLO?!' at me in a patronising manner with her hand in her hips, yelling at me in front of other customers, and then said it was a one way system. I expect to be treated with more respect than this. Perhaps it's the fact I'm young, or have tattoos, or look queer that she felt she could yell at me? I sincerely doubt that she would have yelled at the elderly customers. Miserable wench.

Lovely layout, in a nice area and plenty of different products with a great range. Plenty of plants and other types of vegetables and flowers to buy here and general garden furniture and other miscellaneous items. Would go again for sure.

One of my favorite garden centres. The choice of products is amazing. Massive indoor shopping area selling clothes, indoor plants ornaments, garden furniture water features, the list is endless. There is a cafe on site and toilets. Another large area outside, full of beautiful plants trees, and more garden furniture. We'll worth a visit.

Lovely place for the children. Food is a little expensive but worth it for the kids.

Garden centre has a really good selection of plants, all reasonably priced. The gift and toy areas are a bit pricey. The cafe has extended out into the conservatory ,which is lovely if the weather isn't too hot outside. The food is average i recently had the misfortune of waiting over 30 minutes to have tomato and veg soup, when it finally arrived it was a bowl of soggy veg with tomato juice, may have improved if they'd used a blender....the cafe wasn't busy. The cafe does serve nice chips, so if that's your thing I do recommend them. Overall its okay but I would only go for the plants

Fabulous place for a good look around and the restaurant staff are wonderful! Lovely food served by very friendly staff. Great place to go. Lovely lady on the tills too. Can't fault the food, the staff or the products they stock. My favourite place to eat when in the area.

Love it here with my toddler. The play area is perfect for 1-6 year olds and there is a viewing area for parents. Only £1.50 for soft play. Food is nice and prices are fine. There is only one changing unit which is placed in the accessible toilet which has been a problem a couple of times with queues. An extra unit in the female toilets would be great.

Lovely Christmas meal and great value. Lee the Manager and all the staff were so helpful and the meals were of excellent quality and served hot. If you want a good meal then try this place you won't be disappointed. Well done Lee you have worked hard to improve this restaurant.

After a year of lockdowns, it was so good to see Bolton Garden Centre fully back in business. It was a delight to explore both indoor and outdoor sections. They were very well stocked and the signs A-Z for plants, especially perennials, were particularly helpful. Definitely be re-visiting!

Poor customer service, came to collect a product and the poor girl on the checkout was brilliant, great attitude and effort, her colleagues whom she asked for help to first find where my product was and then to get a member of staff to bring it out was poor, like they just didn't want to service me as a customer, no ownership just pass it onto someone else. People expect great customer service and unfortunately this was was delivered..
