Stayed here for 3 nights with my partner to visit my brother who moved to Bolton last year for Uni. Arrived at 7.30pm on the Friday night, greeted warmly by reception staff and told we were 'guests of the day' and had received a free room upgrade and complimentary drinks! What a lovely surprise as the room had a huge comfy super king bed and not just biscuits but a twirl chocolate bar 😋. Also bottled water, tea and coffee. Shower was large and had great water pressure. Rooms clean and all the cleaning staff lovely... always asked if we needed anything. Breakfast was tasty and plenty to choose from. Overall every member of staff that we came across was friendly and nice, and would definitely come back here again, keep up the good work and thank you for a great time!

After being let down from a booking from another hotel, the Holiday Inn came to our rescue with an accessible room. All the staff were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help us. The food was delicious, and the room was clean and comfortable. We can't stress enough how thankful we are when they came to our rescue. A wonderful team we would have no hesitation in highly recommending this hotel.

Rooms we’re comfortable enough, bed and pillows were good. Air con wasn’t working but a fan was left in the room. The pressure in the shower wasn’t great either. The menu was fairly basic for dinner and not to the standard you would expect for the price. Breakfast buffet was reasonable for the price of £15-£20. Not sure I would book again but it was convenient for work.

Good clean and safe hotel Food is nice and the menu has enough dishes on it to cover a week if your staying that long. Underground parking is very tight but great in a winter no windscreens to clear.

This is the only hotel I have ever been to where I haven't been able to sleep. It's summer with no Aircon and no ability to open the window. The staff are lovely but unable to help, I have 2 fans but the room is now way too warm to sleep (27.5 degrees), to the extent that the hallway is more comfortable. I will cancel my room for tomorrow night and drive home after working late and get up at 4am to come back to Bolton because at least I will get most of a night's sleep that way. Whilst looking at the reviews for the hotel I see that this isn't the first time people have had this issue. To note from other reviews the room I am in has been modernized since the reviews about it being run down, it however is still a sauna as per one person's review.

I visited the Holiday Inn in Bolton to deliver a two day training course in their excellent training rooms. All the staff are super helpful and friendly and the layout of the training room, with delegate stationary, water etc is spot on. Lunch was great with lots of good quality food on offer and all delegates were happy. The only negative was the temperature of the training room as the day moved on as there was no air conditioning in the room we were in. I also stayed in the hotel and again, the rooms and service in the restaurant is excellent. The hotel is easy to access via major roads and car parking is underneath the hotel and validated with screens in main reception.

If it was possible to leave less than 0 I would. I’ve never experienced customer service like it. Aggressive staff on reception, trying to provoke a reaction from my partner and myself we remained calm and stayed outside the hotel whilst making a complaint to customer services who cut us off 4 times. My partner and I are currently bedding down for the night in our car as we have nowhere else to stay in Bolton where we are working tomorrow. I’ve never been treated like this before and advise anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Bolton to avoid this place like the plague.

Stayed this weekend and very impressed. Room and reception staff were excellent. Most impressive was the staff at breakfast on Sunday, absolutely brilliant, especially the young man who couldn't have been more helpful and professional. Such a lovely and caring approach. He has excellent personal skills and a credit to the hotel.

decent hotel, relaxing bar seating area. small but modern rooms with decent furniture/decor. Very TINY tv's (the picture frame is bigger!) hence the lower room score, but at least there are plugs next to the beds on both sides! (so that's a win) Small, but nice/modern shower room/toilet but again not much space in the room. Decent hotel overall, far better than a travel lodge for reference.

Enjoyed my stay here The hotel was well ran, the food was nice and the service was good. Location very good and five min walk into Bolton where all the bars and pubs are Breakfast was slightly disappointing but not too bad.

Very tidy room, and all the staff and friendly and helpful. Just a couple of minor issues stopped it getting 5 stars. Our basin in the room was almost entirely blocked, and took about 5 minutes to drain. I mentioned it to reception, and it was very quickly remedied. Also, 'due to unforeseen circumstances' there was no hot breakfast on the first day of our stay. Minor inconvenience, but I had pre-paid for a hot breakfast that I was unable to have. If staff had proactively offered me a refund of the difference, or some alternative, that would have been nice. Otherwise, I was happy with my stay, and would stay again.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience here. Stayed one night with my daughter in room 112. The staff were amazing, receptionists, restaurant staff and housekeeping so friendly and helpful. The meal and the breakfast was delicious and the room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. We will definitely stay here on out next visit to Bolton and highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area.

I wasn't using Holiday Inn as a place to stay but was joining friends in a Christmas 'gathering' run by Holiday Inn. It didn't hit the mark. The DJ competed with the England match and the room and the food was cold. Such a shame. Place was beautifully decorated. The staff worked hard and were pleasant and helpful.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The function rooms are stunning. Staff could be a bit more considerate. Setting up a meal string a conference can't be easy, but they could really do with investing in a doorstop. The constant slamming of the door was very distracting during presentations. Not expected for such a lovely venue.

We were greeted by great staff late night about 10.30 & gave us a very comfortable family room to stay. Following morning we enjoyed a great delicious English breakfast. Very friendly staff. Thanks to Huzefa & friendly staff in the restaurant & hotel. Made our holiday a great experience.

Happy and friendly staff. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and a good breakfast! What more could you ask for? Just a one night stay to go to a wedding nearby.

Great hotel, we glad we choose to stay here. Location is great, located in the city center, next to the mall, and easy to reach the Bolton train station within walking distance. The room is very clean, tidy and cozy. The bed is super comfortable! My favourite is the shower room. The booking also comes with all you can eat breakfast. Foods are absolutely tasty and they are fresh made, I also love they have several different snack cheese you can choose. The quality of the drinks from the coffee machine are really good and decent. Would love to come back here in the future!

Hotel has benefitted from a much needed upgrade and the rooms are now really nice and modern, beds are exceptionally comfortable and ALL the staff are so friendly and welcoming, a real credit to the management team. Location is 5 minutes walk into the town centre and there is free on site parking. WiFi in my 4th floor room was slow so I ended up tethering to my phone instead. Breakfast was very nice with a great selection of items, but could be further improved with more frequent refreshes of hot food rather than cooking in bulk. Overall, really pleased with our visit and would definitely stay here again.

Filled kettle with water for my cuppa and the water came out brown. There was marks on my towels that were brown had to change them. Breakfast was good. But had to wait ages from them to bring outvextra bacon or any of the freshly cooked stuff and they only brought 2 fried eggs or pieces of bacon at a time so u was waiting again when someone also waiting grabbed them.

Generally excellent experience. Good food, nice rooms. Most staff extremely accommodating and helpful. A couple of the bar staff were a little more interested in chatting amongst themselves meaning service git a little delayed, but only a minor niggle. A problem with a refund was dealt with quickly and efficiently.

We stayed here for a few days during Ironman Bolton. The staff were always friendly and always happy to help. They had personality which is always a bonus. The hotel and rooms were always clean and tidy. The cleaning staff did a great job. I loved the little gym as well. There is no pool so don’t be disappointed. Thanks again to all the staff.

Hotel very good, just a problem with our evening meal due to a misunderstood phone call. The staff were excellent at providing some sort of meal I.e chips and sandwiches at short notice. Breakfast was excellent.

**checked in with two children stayed there 9th June, upon check in was offered quote "a room that hasn't been modernized but is clean" ! for £20 less, okay they agreed ... ** Upon entering the room it was definitely Not clean, dead bugs in the bed and on the towels in the bathroom, dirty carpets!! ** Check out the next morning... The receptionist charged my card £20 he asked for what she said the remaining money!! ** He was asked for his review he said 2 stars for the dirty room!! ** They left the hotel, received a call a couple of hours later saying they had mistakenly charged him the £20 and will be refunded! They will also refund him £30 for the dirty room... NOTE: still to date no £30 refund, so I now write this review, not only a dirty room, bedding/towels/carpet but also appalling customer receptionist

Stayed here for a wedding. Nice venue. The rooms are to a good standard and clean. The buffet breakfast was varied and well stocked. Coffee was a machine but nice

Did a first aid course here. The conference facilities were ok. The room carpet needed a good hoovering and the coffee machine in reception was out of order. The service at lunch was very good with friendly staff to help with anything. Parking is free which is a bonus. Location is central also which is good.

The staff were so helpful and considerate, afternoon tea with scones, sandwiches and cakes was a lovely treat. Lovely to meet new people and enjoy a quiz and a game of bingo. Hosted by Bolton Carers group, a very nice valentines afternoon ❤

Was at Holiday Inn for a dinner dance, check in was easy and the rooms were small but modern and nicely furnished, the bathroom was really tiny, would be very difficult to get into if you were a larger person or if you had any disabilities. Function was in the Cloisters which was a beautiful room but very cold, the food was adequate could do with some improvement especially the main course. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, seems they were understaffed but struggled to find bowls for cereal, items were slow coming out when they ran out but once you got it breakfast was very good.

This hotel is very clean and modern. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Bernie and the other members of the housekeeping team kept our room spotless. I always look under the bed before checking out in case I've dropped something and it's rolled underneath. There wasn't a speck of dust under there. The breakfast choices and food quality are excellent. So you may wonder why I haven't given 5 stars. Well it's all to do with the room facilities really. The bathroom was very well appointed but the room was woefully inadequate in terms of wardrobe and drawer space which is very important to me. There was hardly any full hanging wardrobe space and no drawers. The room design seems more aimed at business people and short term stayers rather than the 8 nights we stayed. We opted for the upgrade at £10 per night but I don't think it was worth the extra £80 and wished we'd never done it. When I said so to Reception, they took this on board and gave us 2 complimentary bottles of wine and a regular supply of biscuits and chocolate in compensation. Good to see a business listening to the customer and doing something about it.

I stayed at the hotel for 5 weeks (26/01/22 - 25/02/22). The staff are amazing. Jade and Ashley on the front desk will do anything to help make your stay enjoyable. The cleaning staff were so friendly too The breakfast has a wide selection of choice and the evening meals were nice too. Thank you for making my stay enjoyable ⚓️
