😠 Absolutely Atrocious Service been there 3 times for a medical copy letter ,they charge me £27 for it and still not got the letter .Tried to address my complaint to Dr Goldrick the head GP as i caught him leaving the surgery but unfortunately no time to talk this was his response .     I would not recommend this surgery to anyone.. always engaged, been forced to come off anti depressants twice due to not being able to see my doctor, I can’t get an appointment for my 8 year old daughter because they don’t answer the phone.

    Crompton Health Centre Hall i'th Wood Bolton. Multiple NHS Services within the Center Local residents, Crompton View Surgery. The Oaks Family Practice. Nursing and aftercare, Physiotherapy and many other services are available at this centre including Cohens Chemist. The Center itself is large with open spaces in a warm and bright environment. Plenty of parking to the rear of the Center ( same entrance as to the rail station carpark ). Large disabled parking spaces vary close to the rear entrance all on good level path without steps. Front entrance has a large access ramp and steps with limited parking on Crompton Way without yellow lines.

    Good GP. Can call in the morning for an appointment and get an emergency appointment that day or more routine appointments in a few day's time. When you call you get put in a queue if it's busy and be told what number you are in a queue - small detail but really makes such a better experience! All the receptionists I've ever spoken to have been really helpful and polite. Much better than my previous Bolton GP

    Phoned this morning for partner with doctor receptionist very quick answering phone & offered an appointment that day, had to decline as partner at work but got a sutable appointment for next week, 10/10 for the receptionist super friendly-polite over the phone . We've recently registered with this heath centre & we are the Vale side upstairs to the right, hope I got that right. another 5 star review explains the centre very well so have a read as I could not review better than him.

    Comment reference number: 1156153 Within the last two months I have transferred from a useless GP Practice to Crompton View GP Practice. What a difference! My telephone consultation at 09:00 on 14/09/2021 with a GP from Crompton View was very clear and precise. I understand that time constraints would not allow me to cover all my problems, however, the GP did make me another appointment for a second consultation. As my health records are relevant to my discussions with my new GP, it is important to have these transferred as soon as possible but as these are transferred via a Health Authority at Preston it could take up to three months. This means my new GP is effectively 'working in the dark'. I could have transferred them myself within a day, after all, they are my records. I have offered to supply my recent medical history from my own files but Crompton View Health Centre has confirmed they will pursue the matter. 'A breath of fresh air'

    I was unable to get an appointment at my local health centre and was offered one at Crompton Health Centre instead. I had a look on Google maps and recognised the location, so was all set. It was very quiet inside. The good thing about social distancing, always plenty of space in the waiting room and no screeching kids 😊 All these modern health centres that Bolton have built look the same inside, and have incredibly long corridors! And my appointment is always at the end! At least my usual health centre is easier to leave. This is located on a rather busy dual carriageway and leaving is easier said than done!

    The service at this health centre is top notch! Excellent systems in place to safely see patients during this pandemic. I was in and out for appointments in no time, due to the online system. Great staff, very helpful. Well done everyone!

    Dr goldrick is Inconsiderate, lazy and unknowledgeable. Wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Seen children who are more helpful than him.

    Shine service here is an absolute outstanding service. Exceptionally professional polite and friendly. I have been to various in other areas but service has never come better than this one here.

    Total lack of service. Its takes a lot for me to go to the doctors as the service is very minimal. I've phoned over 30 times today to make an appointment. Not once has anyone picked up. A few times the line has been engaged so I know the line is working. A few times it has been picked up then dropped just to stop it ringing. Absolute Rubbish

    My growing family has been using The Oaks Family Practice in all its guises since 1988. They have served us well in all that time and continue to do so now. The efforts, of the current partners and staff, to recover from the devastating Pandemic are widespread and varied but I know they are succeeding. I also know that these successes are hard won and I am confident and have every faith that the Doctors and Practitioners along with the Support Staff will continue to be successful. Well done.

    Poor service, doctors don’t care. Incompetent For years I was suffering with abdominal pain and sickness and constantly needing to go toilet. Had blood tests done, and doctor basically said there is nothing they can do.. “don’t come back” after negative results . I eventually changed doctors and straight away I was referred for further evaluation… and all it was, was IBS and got the medication I needed.. which has improved my life significantly.

    I have a chronic autoimmune condition. In one day I had an appointment with Crompton View surgery got a referral and prescription and had my bloods done - all in under an hour from the start of my first appointment. The receptionist was pleasant, the Doctor was lovely and the Nurse was amazing. I wish I had a GP like this in the past. Thank you.

    Kidneys are working less than 60% The enzyme level is too high The protein level is too high, This doctor said you are fine, Where else can I go? They did absolutely nothing to help my health condition but sucking tax pay money, I feel that they are neglecting me because I am brown! (It's for Crompton view surgery)

    Friendly staff . Efficient surgery. Very clean modern building. Only recently moved quality professional care. Also a special mention to Aimee the health visitor who is based at the centre so impressed with her care and attention on her recent visits to our home to see our newborn. Aimee actually cares and you can see how much she loves her job .

    Rung up to book an appointment, they told me there’s nothing for 2.5 weeks but I could ring up on the day and they could get me an appointment which seemed odd to me. I asked if there’s nothing sooner and the receptionist was very blunt and ended the phone on me when I said I didn’t want the appointment. I’ve always been disappointed with this doctors as I also feel like my problems are disregarded.

    I have been trying to order a repeat prescription to tide me over the Christmas and New Year period as will be away for a few weeks. I ordered it on line as I usually do but when I checked my order had been refused for some reason. I have spent 3 hours over 3 days trying to get through to the surgery to find out why. I finally got to speak to someone yesterday who said that she would make sure it was ordered but when I checked today it was still refused. I have tried again today to call but have spent a total of 45 mins hanging on listening to them telling me how important my call is to them - obviously not important enough for them to actually answer it. So it looks like I will have to be without my medication for over a week or stay at home. The irony is that the NHS is telling people to make sure they have enough medication to last them over the holiday period, but when you try, you can't get it. This is not the only grouse I have with Oaks Family Practice. I don't think they care about anyone really and the reception staff are quite snippy, it's like you are just a pest and are stopping them from getting on with their jobs - whatever they may be.
