A great place to stay! The location was wonderful, very close to many restaurants, bars and shops. We especially liked the size of the room. The bed was king sized, there was plenty of sitting room and the bathroom and showers were big. It was a nice space for us after we had been traveling for some time and had stayed in normal sized hotel rooms. The staff was great and easy to deal with. Overall we would highly recommend!!

What a great quirky place! Very clean which is at the top of our list. Across from a great restaurant. About a 15 minute walk into the hustle and bustle of Bordeaux, so we certainly got our steps in! Spacious room and bathroom. Air con, which was a bonus as we visited during a late summer heatwave we weren't expecting! Would recommend to anyone looking for something a little different.

Adored our two night stay in the Rouge room. Comfortable bed with large living space, although there we weren’t in our room much, with some many of Bordeaux’s sites, restaurants and cafes on our doorstep. Decor is quirky cool and I loved the unique objets d’art throughout. Great being opposite La Tupina, one of the city’s most authentic restaurants. The host, Martin, was very accommodating and assisted with every request. A must-stay.

We checked in all fine, it’s not a hotel there’s no reception, just a random door, more an air bnb vibe with a code but that was fine for what we want - room was lovely one dirty towel but mistakes happen and that was rectified quickly but the a c did not work, someone came to fix it we left and we assumed all would be ok when we returned, we returned 35 degrees at Half ten at night in the room! Zut alors! The problem was not fixed - we met other people in the hotel with the same problem, hey it’s ok stuff breaks but the staff (which you can only contact on WhatsApp) ignored my calls, read my messages and did not respond and have left us (I tried messaging in French and English) - an acknowledgment, a fan, a discount, a courtesy call would have all been great but there was no answer. I’ve bulked bought water and will attempt a chargeback on my credit card tommorow. I’d thoroughly recommend you stay away , honestly sitting here I. We arrived to find the air con in our room was broken. Other guests who had recently checked in had the same problem with their rooms. There is no reception so we were unable to resolve the problem. We called the number listed in our booking - no answer. We messaged and called the number listed for maintenance problems on the door of our room and we were ignored. After spending a horrible night in a room that reached a temp of 34 degrees, with no fan, we checked out two days early and moved to another hotel. A shame as the room itself was nice, and the hotel is in a good location. If there had been communication from the hotel that the air con was going to be fixed on the second day we would have stayed. Perhaps we were unlucky, but I would strongly suggest avoiding this hotel.

Truly enjoyed our stay in this old part of Bordeaux. Beautiful, large room, comfortable bed and very nice and roomy shower. Great amenities (including climate control), period details, high ceilings (in our Rose room). Will absolutely stay again next time Bordeaux.
