No taste all at, like a fast food Italian . Don’t bother, can’t explain how bad the food was. Just bland and takes hours to come

My review is just that, my experience on the day. I compare restaurants by expectation and value for money, I do not expect a Michelin star meal at a 15€ per mains restaurant, I expect to receive value for money whilst still rating the venue at the range they intend to portray. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We had - Dinner Day of week we visited - Monday Ease of parking – Walked - Ease of Access for Disabled – Alfresco is ok. Overall cleanliness - 10/10 - General ambience – 9/10 - Music if any - none --------------------------- Water provided - Yes Menu languages – French Range of options on menu – 9/10 - good options Drink preparation time in minutes – 4 drinks were good value Main fair - Meat / Seafood / Veg / Pizza / Italian Mains Pricing range – From 16€ to 28€ - An average about 23€ Food waiting time to order in minutes - 10 - Food presentation – 15/10 - Food quality – 7 /10 - un inspiring mains, brochetta was really nice, pizza not fully cooked. ------------------------- Clearance of dishes – ok Staff friendliness – 9/10 - WC, Clean-stocked –- Not used Would I go back – No ------------------------- Stand outs: staff Pro's - location and size Con's - Food was low on flavour

Honestly, you shouldn't cook. Turn it into a bar. I've never had pasta this awful before. I had the seafood linquine. The linquine was cooked separately, dry and unsalty. The seafood was on top of the pasta and it was full of garlic. So you couldn't eat those either. However, the waitresses were very nice, took the food back to the kitchen and charged neither for the meal nor for drinks as an apology.

Lovely location in a square full of bars and restaurants. We all had salads at lunch time - Caesar and Vegetarian - huge portions and delicious. Service was fine - no issues at all. Prices reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.

The staff were very rude,only one out of 9 helped us but in general made us feel uncomfortable. The portion of the food was massive but tasteless. Wouldn’t go there again, would have avoided if we knew beforehand. Basically don’t help you if you can’t speak French. We asked for the bill and it took 30 mins for it to arrive. The staff seemed annoyed at customers.

Never go here, just run away. It’s the worst restaurant I’ve ever visited. Food tastes like water… but to be honest, even water tastes better.

Pizza was good. Place was good. There was a issue with an order forgotten. The waiter reordered it and did not charge which was kind of the place. They charge for plain water.

Having had a poor experience earlier in the evening we came across Brasserie Italienne. Great spot, good food, very plentiful, happy and courteous staff. All in all a great experience. It was extremely busy with the rugby world cup taking place, that said they were very able in handling the large numbers of clients

I don’t understand the terrible reviews of this restaurant. I have gone here for years. It’s reliable, casual/easy to access with enjoyable “comfort food” and wonderful atmosphere. When I am tired from travel or a long business day, this restaurant is a solid choice.

Great location, service was very good and efficient. Nice air conditioned environment on a very hot day. Mis understood our order and rectified it straight away. Unfortunately food could have been more flavoursome.

Our first night in Bordeaux, this was a delightful setting and we had no complaints. Salmon, mixed fish, and bolognese dishes.

A disgusting place, that has really high prices! Please don’t visit it. Overboiled pasta and everything else is really awful. We also found hair in a plate of carbonara!

The place has a good location and prices are OK. We read the comments/ratings on google and got really scared but overall was an OK experience ans bathrooms were OK in terms of cleaness. Wouldn't necessarily come back but it's not as bad as the reviews. We came for lunch time.

Let me start by saying that my visit to this so-called Italian restaurant was nothing short of a culinary catastrophe. While the staff wasn't outright neglectful, I must express my disappointment in the slow service. It took an agonizingly long time for them to take our order, which created an atmosphere of frustration and impatience. It would have been more tolerable if they had displayed a greater sense of attentiveness to their customers' needs. Now, onto the food—where do I even begin? The dishes we received were dry and flavorless, leaving us questioning the chef's understanding of Italian cuisine. It was evident that shortcuts were taken, and the quality suffered as a result. However, I will give credit where it's due. When we expressed our dissatisfaction with certain dishes, the staff promptly removed them from our bill, showing a commendable level of understanding and willingness to rectify the situation. In particular, I must highlight the pasta dish that I had the misfortune of ordering. It was truly abysmal, with an overcooked, rubbery texture that made it virtually inedible. The lack of flavor only added insult to injury, leaving me questioning whether the chef had any familiarity with authentic Italian recipes. To sum it up, this establishment fails to deliver on the promise of an enjoyable Italian dining experience. While the slow service was frustrating, their willingness to rectify our dissatisfaction by not charging us for the undesirable dishes is worth acknowledging. However, unless significant improvements are made to the food quality, I strongly advise against dining here. Spare yourself the disappointment and seek out a reputable Italian eatery that can truly capture the essence of this beloved cuisine.

Over cooked pasta. Although we let them know, they did not apologise. The deserts were really bad too. By far the worse restaurant we ate during our two weeks of holidays in Bordeaux.

Avoid this place. At first sight looks like a nice big terrace but the food is average. Waiters forgot to bring me my wine and water. Dropped food on the floor for other tables. Wine was really bad (i mean, its bordeaux!!). The truffle pasta was a huge dump of spagetti loaded in packaged truffle. And it tasted like italian fast food. Average corner restaurant. You’re in bordeaux. Find yourself a high rated french restaurant for a wonderful evening, great food and amazing wine! This is not the place I assure you.

Please avoid at all cost! Not even worth the one star but you can't give a "0". 3 different pasta's all tasted like nothing. The portions were very large but I only tasted the pasta, nothing of sauce, seasoning or anything. Horrible waste of money and time. The cocktails were good (at least a small consolation)

I cannot tell you how bad this restaurant was… food -2/10, we had risotto and lobster pasta, both tasted like water. We sent the pasta and lobster back because it was inedible and they wouldn’t take it off the bill because they had to “throw it in the bin”, the waiter even said to us “yeahhh the food isnt good here”. After arguing with the waiter he said we’d have to go to the bar to speak to the manager because he “has loads of other things to do”. We said no and sat there until the waiter came back and said the chef said there was a problem in the kitchen so they would take it off the bill after all. No apology, manager never came over once. Toilets are filthy. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Very very bad restaurant. The staff was one of the most uncaring I have ever encountered. The food was also very bad, I don't understand how they can call that a pasta carbonara, it was just dry pasta.

Good service and good food, they give you complementary regular water. I strongly recommend the pizza over the pasta. Also they don't have English menu. For the rest everything very good.

Staff with absence of humour 🤣 very comfortable chairs inside, food is really good, service is though slow ...

Surprised that this place has such a bad note - we enjoyed it so much that we even came back the following day ! The portions are giant!! Try their famous salad - it is soooooo big and delicious. We also loved the “onglet de veau”, which was melting in our mouth! Everything is fresh and tasty. The service is very attentive. So ignore the bad reviews - go ahead and get your own opinion !!!

Awful service, clearly a tourist trap but our reservation in another restaurant on Saturday evening didn't go through so we thought we couldn't go wrong with an italian. We were wrong. We patiently waited for over an hour for our mains, not even seeing the server once to get another round of drinks while we waited. The tables around us arrived after us and were all served before us, and were also visibly frustrated that it was taking so long to settle the bill so they could leave. We decided it had been long enough and were getting up to pay our (average) starters when they finally turned up with our food, all of it stone cold and or undercooked. Needless to say we got straight back up and settled the bill, received 0 apology or even acknowledgement from the indifferent staff of how poor our experience was. Seeing the other reviews it's not just us apparently... Heavily advise avoiding this place, we ended up moving on to find space at Bibibap on the square which was brilliant as always!
