Food is ordinary. I ordered the mushroom schnitzel and it was too soggy. The cheese wasn’t even melted. The sweet potato fries was good however but overall value is low. I was there with a group of friends , the atmosphere is good

Went with my family for Christmas lunch and it was fantastic. Santa even came with presents for all the kids. Would love to go again next year.

The accommodation is one of the best hotels in the area which is near, clean, modern and comfortable. There's a little noise from the downstairs bar but it stops well before bed time. The Back Bar is really modern and has a great atmosphere and the big screen and pool tables are a bonus. Staff are all friendly and very helpful. I come through on business and have stayed in a lot of nearby accommodations but this one is my new favourite.

Had a wonderful night as we celebrated our shared 40th at Elliot's Bar at the Manhattan. All guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We would Personally like to Thank our Bar Staff Jaylan and Molly for ensuring the night was hassle free and our guests were well looked after. Also appreciate the time and effort the venue manager Phil went to with addressing our issues with some of the problems we encountered leading up to the night with the events 'manager' and hotel 'receptionist'. Perhaps Jaylan and Molly could lead a team meeting on customer service? Hopefully these issues can now be resolved moving forward for other patrons and guests. - Important to note that this would not be a 5 star review if not for the bar staff and Phil redeeming our overall experience.

Absolutely amazing venue !! I celebrated my 60th birthday there in Elliott's Bar and from the minute we started planning it together the staff were so supportive and worked so hard to make my night better than I ever imagined. It was beyond perfect .. the room was so beautifully decorated and having the stage and light up dance floor was brilliant. Absolutely delicious food and great selection of drinks. All of my guests LOVED it and had a ball ! Special thanks to Kellie, Phil and Axel for all of your help and I cannot thank you enough for your efforts in creating my event and what was an incredible memorable night !!

Visited this Hotel today for lunch and enjoyed the food and the ambience of the Dining. Room. Service was O K but could have been better. Hotel was busy with people for a weekday. O K for a quick meal as there is plenty of Car-parking all around this Hotel. Good quality was very good and reasonably priced.

Our family of 7 went for Easter Sunday lunch at the Manhattan. We were really looking forward to this lunch. We had the 1:30- to 03:00 pm slot. We were extremely disappointed for the amount that we paid the food was terrible, cold ,tasteless and the trays were almost empty. The waiters were not refilling them. The only good bit were the desserts, but the waiters were quick to clear up the dessert table.. One of the staff told us that due to it being a public holiday there were understaffed. Room for improvement customer service. The restaurant is well situated and easily accessible. Unfortunately, we would not be going back to this restaurant!

We had our engagement here the other week in the Elliotts lounge. Phil was great to deal with, answered any questions and most importantly the party was so much fun! Everyone enjoyed themselves and the staff were great! Food tasty too! Thank you again 😁

Attended for a family function. Great location. Plenty of secure parking. Large private room with outdoor area included. Own full service bar. Security on the door. Fantastic catering and wonderful friendly staff. Very reasonable cost. Excellent choice for the occasion.

Really nice little buffet. Family friendly, expansive kids area, I think even teen would like the movie room include in the Feast Buffet. The food was all tasty and fresh, good amount of seafood too, not as much variety in cuisines as other places but quality, tasty food. The dessert section was small but extremely delicious and Tasted homemade, I was very impressed with the quality ingredients and skill that went into making these desserts. They were made with love.The ice cream machine was a good touch as were the lolly and sprinkles. Loved the donuts and sticky date pudding! Bar staff were kind and accommodation. Good place for old people too.

Just had THE BEST Christmas lunch and dayout😊 Had a Table for 20 and every single person LOVED the day.. The food was Delicious, and LOTS of choice. The chef created these beautiful (Vegetable Arrangements) which were impressive, I have added a photo.. The venue and Tables were decorated beautifully. And lastly the Staff were absolutely Amazing. Every single staff member I encountered were extremely happy and welcoming. They were genuinely pleased to make our day so special. There was also a Suprise visit from Santa which was lovely for all the Kids. The playroom was clean and there was also a Christmas movie playing on the Big Screen, they thought of everything for the kids and Adults alike.. Just over the moon with everything, and think we may become regulars..

Frustrating is probably the best way to describe this place. Went there yesterday with a few colleagues. Yes I understand it was their first day back after being closed due to covid 19 but surely in that time they could have communicated with their staff on how things were going to be run during this time. I believe we did the right thing and booked a table, only to be told the lady I spoke to never put it in the system. With all the issues an industry like hospitality has had (due to covid 19) you would think they would've spent the time preparing when they were allowed to reopen again.

Thanks Manhattan for hosting our Christmas Party. The food was amazing, the staff were absolutely fantastic and the room looked great! We even stayed overnight and the accommodation was excellent!

I was tempted to ask for my money back but it will probably take a couple of hours before I can return their food. I know for the money you can't expect much but their food was beyond my expectation. I ate something but not sure it matched the label: the pork tasted like chicken and their fish tasted like something, not sure what. Dessert was the highlight, crusty and sad looking but at least I pretended it was dessert. Can't we have a rating system that gives black holes as well as stars? They need to pickup their game.

Group of six of us had a dinner in the back bar on a Thursday evening. Walked in without a booking. Very casual place, we ate in the outdoor seating area which was quiet. Standard pub menu with Parmas, steaks, burgers, fish and chips, etc. Also Salad and vegetarian options. Good value for money, meals were alright, what you would expect from a pub meal. Decent size. Service was reasonable, casual but polite staff, although the meals were served a big staggered with one being brought out very late, otherwise not too bad.

Quite enjoyable, set up for food was well organized. A carvery,an Asian section, a pizza section ,even an entree section and usual salads, desert (a good selection)and soup. Really more than what you could eat and price was very good.

It's a good family place to spend and meet together. The food is quite nice and the atmosphere is perfect for special occasions like Birthdays. We loved it and like to come back again.

Used to be really good.... is our local for Friday lunch and drinks. Will not be back after the last 2 terrible experiences.... ranges from poor service (where we were made to feel awful asking for our drinks 50min into ordering), to under cooked chicken (which they denied, despite TWO meals being undercooked). Sad to see the decline in service and food as they used to be really good

I have been to the Manhattan over the last six years presenting training courses in their function rooms. The renovations are astonishing and the venue has really been transformed. Very attentive staff and their manager was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you for hosting such a successful night and look forward to many more.

We held a celebration for our children's baptism and first communion at The Manhattan's Liberty room. We had an excellent experience! The room size was perfect for our group of 65 people. There was adequate room for our tables (which each seated 8 - 9), gift and bonbonniere tables, around the bar, on the dance floor/photo area, and a fabulous area for the kids to play (we set up board games/craft for them). The food was excellent and delicious. We went for the buffet option and really liked that you were able to select so many options for the price allocated. The chefs and wait staff were also responsive on the day - if we needed food topped up, in serving cake around, etc. There were also adequate staff at the bar serving our guests. Importantly, we cannot speak more highly of Kelly, the function manager! She was so lovely to deal with - friendly, supportive and highly responsive throughout the process. She was also very diligent, had excellent communication skills, and exceptional organisation skills. No question was too hard, she always had great suggestions, and she always wanted to find ways to make our event wonderful and our lives easier. All in all, a very positive experience, we would definitely recommend them and would definitely have an event there again. The celebration will be one we will always cherish - our sincere thanks to Kelly and the Manhattan team for contributing so beautifully to that.

We had our Christmas Function in the Liberty Room at the Manhattan Hotel and it was such a beautiful space for our organization. Kelly was amazing to work with from beginning to the end catering to our needs of food, environmental needs and flexibility with packages. She tailored it to suit perfectly to our event. Love how friendly the staff was as well always checking in to ensure we were happy and had everything we needed. Highly recommend this venue and team to work with! We can't wait to work again with them in the near future.

We hired the Empire room and had a fabulous night celebrating our daughter’s 21st birthday. A great night so well co-ordinated by Kelly, all the staff were great, highly recommended.

We held my son's 1 year old birthday party in one of the function rooms at the Manhattan Hotel and it turned out great! Kelly was very helpful in organising the event for us, even down to the balloons. She made the whole process easy and the event went smoothly on the day. The staff were friendly and the food was great. The space of the room was perfect for our guests. Thank you!

They did not have our booking - a few others had the same issue too - apparently all arising from phone bookings. Not a good look with myriad people standing around in the foyer though they waitlisted us for the next available table. They need to improve on this. Otherwise, it was good. Food had wide variety, well cooked and constantly replenished. Staff were promptly clearing the table. I liked that they had round tables - easier for group conversations.

I booked the Manhattan Hotel's 'Empire room' for my 21st birthday party and it was an amazing venue! Kelly, the functions manager, was nothing short of a pleasure to work with, and worked hard to give me the night I wanted. The staff were all super friendly, the food was amazing, and the sound system was sensational. My only issue was that on the night of my function, the venue seemed to be quite short staffed after I was promised a minimum of 2 bartenders throughout the course of my event, as well as food staff who were going to be thorough in ensuring all my guests were attended to. Because of this lack of staff, my guests were having to experience long wait times at the bar and in some cases, no food at all as the platters of food were just being placed on a table and not circled around the room. If it was not for this staffing issue, I would be rating them a 5 star.

Was ok. I prefer a normal restaurant. Price is good for seniors. Boys love going to manhattan . Get to eat whatever they like.

My first time here and I enjoyed it. My only criticism is that the tables were not cleaned properly. However that is easily rectified. The food was nice, good choice, and fresh and hot. Not the best buffet I've tried, but certainly not the worst. I'll happily return for another go some time.

Had lunch at the buffet. Very competitively price in my opinion. Adults (13 and above) is $35 per person, seniors is $20 and kids (4-12) $15. I believe dinner is the same price as well. I came on a Monday afternoon so it’s really quiet, but I would expect it to get busy on weekends and festive seasons. The restaurant is big and spacious, but the food area looks like it can get quite cramped. Speaking of food, for the price you get I would say tamper your expectations. Your palette would not be greatly stimulated by any sort of gourmet style selection, but you get a decent enough spread. The dessert section again isn’t some artisan-bakery-cafe type of options, but if you have an inclination towards sweet stuff I think it’s safe to say you’ll be happy. There is a big-ish children’s area too which comes with a movie room, an indoor playground and some arcade machines. Just an added bonus if the kids need a bit of stimulation while the adults have their fill. Drinks are separate though, that’s pay as you go.

Christmas Day, 2023 We had a party of 16 attend the function. We were extremely happy with everything provided. Perhaps there could’ve been a few more staff to clear table but understand it was Christmas Day and appreciated all the staff that worked there to make our day so lovely

I recently hired the Empire Room function room for my 30th and it was an amazing event. Kelly did a superb job of making sure everything ran smoothly and that all of our food requirements were met. The atmosphere was amazing and everything was exactly as expected. We all had a beautiful night ☺️

Had a great experience at the all you can eat Feast restaurant. A really great selection of food and desserts. A cheap night out for seniors at $22. Its also a good venue for families, they even have a playroom for the kids. Looking forward to going back there.

I have to comment on the food. For $25 (Seniors price) it was just acceptable, lacking in flavour, the callimari was doughy,and the chips soggy. The Asian selection was good. Didn't have desert. Would not have been happy with $42 for adult price.

I celebrated my 70th birthday there a week ago, the function went well and the finger food provided was delicious but I’m very disappointed with how my guests were treated, a few needed to use the elevator but were refused access and even though a couple had booked accommodation for the night, they were not allowed to use the elevator to get to their room on the upper floor and had to seek accommodation elsewhere, there’s 1 elevator in the building although they’ve got at least 3 function rooms and all the accommodation on the upper level and they expect elderly guests with walkers to use stairs, they don’t even have a ramp. NOT GOOD AT ALL.

Great place for accommodating large groups (we had a party of 15). The feast buffet has something for everyone. Food was fresh and tasty. Wait staff were lovely and very quick at clearing the table of used plates. The kids cinema room and play area was fantastic. Only reason giving 4 stars is because the ladies toilets was in a terrible condition. Otherwise this is the second time we have visited and enjoyed the buffet as much as the first!

Celebrated our Dad's 80th birthday with a buffet lunch, and we sincerely want to send a special thanks to Melanie and the team who went out of their way to make this such a special occasion. Your attention to our big group was beyond what we could have imagined. You made the day great! Thank you.

Can be quite busy on members day so you have to make a booking to secure your seat. Sometimes their food is ok, depends i think on the chefs on duty that day. I don't eat or touch their pasta (lasagna) , i know it will just disappoint me as it always look dry and been sitting their for a while.. If you like buffets, this place is not too bad. Price is reasonable and their service is not bad for a casual visit...😊 😊

We had our engagement party in the liberty room! Once we decorated the venue looked amazing and fitted our 170guests comfortably! The DJ played all music we requested so the dance floor was full! Martine was incredibly easy to deal with when planning and the girls behind the bar on the night were fantastic, making sure we were looked after with drinks and food! We would 100% have another event here, and recommend it to our friends. Thank you Manhattan functions!

Hired out the Soho Room for our stores 3rd birthday. For the cost of the room you don`t need to worry about a thing here. Everything is taken care of for you so you can enjoy the night! Fantastic room layout, plenty of seating and dance floor room. Bar prices are acceptable with very friendly staff and would highly recommend this room for a function!! We have used this for 2 years and will be continuing to use it for the coming future !! Thanks so much for the hospitality :)

Came here with 16 Shirley’s for Shirley Club worse food we have ever eaten.The food was also cold tough and very dry. We booked Ages ago so they knew of our booking in advance and there was insufficient staff to cater with the orders. We give the staff member 3 stars but the good one star only. All we can say is get a new chef for you will go broke

We went for dinner on a Monday night and had the buffet. Food was absolutely fantastic and they had a really good range on offer. My only complaint is the kids price is $15 per head from age 3-12 then jumps from 12+ to an adult price of $35. My 14 year old daughter doesn't eat much so I find the age requirements very odd. Becomes expensive.

We celebrated my husbands birthday in the back bar on Saturday night with around 50 friends. It was amazing. Staff super friendly and extremely accommodating, I had to change dates due to illness and they made it so easy to do. I ordered a number of food platters and wow… it was amazing. Delicious skewers, sliders, pizza, and veggie bites. Thanks to Phil, Jack and the team. I would recommend your venue to anyone.

I was fortunate enough to perform a Babynaming Ceremony at the Manhattan. The staff were kind enough to direct me to the family involved and helped set up the area to perform the the family ceremony

First time eating here, came here with family and friends, overall the staff were friendly and the atmosphere is great and pretty clean, but the food could be better, some food tastes bit like dough, but the desert were nice 👌 will come back here soon.

BackBar best sports bar in the eastern suburbs, staff know how do a smooth and delicious espresso martini. Cocktails are on point.

Made a booking for dinner at 7.30pm and found when we arrived that the bistro was closed and dinner was booked at the sports bar We had a few drinks and went to order our dinner at 8.33pm and the kitchen was closed Would have been good if we were told when shown to our table that we needed to order by 8.30pm

Been in contact with the venue manager (Jesse) to book one of their function spaces for a 40th birthday. Found the attitude and tone very unfriendly and non-cooperative. Didn't seem overly interested when we went in to see the place and the tone of conversation went south from there... I did ask for some changes to their function package, it wasn't the fact that some of my requests were refused, but the magic word "sorry" wasn't once used and instead I was told "I need to know now mate!!!!"... Dissapointing and unacceptable!!!

I had my 60th Cocktail party there and we all had a Fantastic time there. Finger-food was delicious and the drinks was too👍 This is the third family event we had there and it won’t be the last. I attended a wake today, service was very good considering the amount of people. The team did a fabulous job. The cocktails were tasty and the shots were flowing. Thanks to the girls, Mel, Seanna and Liv. 10/10 girls.

Celebrated my 50th birthday in the Empire Room. It was a perfect size (approx 70 people) bar staff were amazing and all the preparation leading up to event was very easy thanks to Kelly and Phil. Finger food was yum and plenty for everyone. We had a band and danced the night away on the new LED dance floor. The Photobooth girl provided the photo booth, lots of fun, many great pictures and a photo book for me to keep. Would highly recommend the venue. Thank you to the Manhattan for helping make my night special
