DO NOT HAVE THE ROAST OF THE DAY!!! Should have taken a photo of the tasteless, pale, bland food on my plate. The chicken looked boiled and had pale soggy skin, the vegetables were steamed. Other people at our table were similarly unimpressed with their food. The positive was that the service was decent and there is a little kids play area.

Came here for dinner and was severely disappointed with the choice. I had what was described as a Chicken Scallopine was not Chicken scallopine. It was a small piece of grilled chicken breast with slice of bacon on top and normal brown gravy and 2 tiny mushrooms. I have had many Chicken Scallopines in my time and none of them are like this. The mash potato that came with it was bland. The chicken parma was also bland and tasteless albeit being quite a decent size. I doubt I would dare to come back in a real hurry. Other that that service was friendly.

This place is dreadful. Never coming back. Food is cold, and not cooked properly. Service is so RUDE and disgusting, should never speak to a customer that way. Would not recommend. Food came 45+ minutes late aswell, and still waiting. Edit- The bistro was practically empty, my baby cousin was knocked over TWICE by waitresses and didn’t apologise either. Was concerned about the quality of food aswell as a hair was found in my meal and as i complained to the manager nothing was done about it either. 0/10.

A nice place to join with friends for a drink and a bite to eat. Plenty of parking out front with the shopping centre close by. Undercover parking also close for those hot days. Give it a try next time at Knox Shopping Centre.

Good service and delicious food served here. We came here for dinner as a group of 7 and ordered chicken risotto, fish and chips, grilled barramundi, chicken caesar salad, creamy ravioli and for desserts, we had the sticky date puddings. Every dish was good. Would definitely be back.

Food is average and felt short changed for a tavern meal. I should have read the reviews before going. I had the roast of the day. Would be lucky if there was 100g of lamb on my plate. Vegetables were bland. Service was annoying with staff constantly trying to clear the table before we were finished. Just leave customers alone to have their meal.

Located on the outside of Knox shopping centre, the Knox tavern has all the usual amenities - a sport's bar, dining area, pokies etc. Food is ok and they have discount menu for seniors.

Dined for dinner before watching a movie at nearby cinema. I had the oven baked barramundi fillet with citrus cream sauce, panko crumbed prawns, salad & chips. It was tasty & I was happy to see the sauce was served on the side. Hubby had a chicken parma & enjoyed that also. Service friendly. Will return to try other menu items & their cocktails.

Ordered two “discounted” seniors meals. Reminded me of the fast food you get from the school cafeteria. I reckon you get better food for less money from a food court. They also have this “no take away” policy. I ordered two meals. One for my wife but last minute she couldn’t join me. I couldn’t take it away. I had to leave an entire plate of food untouched. What a waste!

Came for dinner and the food was practically inedible. We were given greasy and soggy calamari, cold chips, and raw pizza dough. Despite this, the servers were great and the atmosphere was nice. However we definitely won’t be coming again.

I had the seafood selection and I liked it. Good range of choices on the menu. If you book ahead they can set the table accordingly for your group size. We had a long table for 8 people. Convenient parking right next to the tavern or the multi level carpark nearby. 3 hours free parking. If you install the Westfield app you can get an extra hour.

Good food , great value, family friendly. Great place to celebrate a family event. Pleasant staff. Broad menu and Wednesday night was Parma night.

The food was nice we all enjoyed it, except the nugget meat was the cheapest chicken flavoured bleached pink slime, I was uncomfortable feeding it to my kids so please improve on the quality of that. The desserts weren’t comparable sizes so the chocolate pudding was tiny and not worth the price tag. The amenities are good and there is good entertainment for the kids, but the playground is wet inside, needs to be sealed from the rain. Chicken nugget quality - 1/5: May contain traces of chicken.

Reasonably priced meals, particularly for seniors. Generous serving sizes, although seniors discounted meals are smaller. The quality of the food varies. For example the soups can be quite watery and flavourless but their roast of the day is usually quite good.

We had a family birthday dinner in a private room. Room was clean with heater and TV. Most meals were ok, but I expect more when dining out. The whole place seemed to be lacking energy and commitment.

The manager, Isaac is extraordinarily rude to the staff. The way to get return customers is to build a good rapport. One of the staff was talking to me and he walked past her and very rudely, in front of me, the customer, told her to "Get back to work." HOW RUDE!! Guaranteed I will never return here, nor recommend this place to anyone. Plus the food wasn't that good.

I went with my daughter on the 16th December I ordered the chicken and mushroom risotto the onion was raw the garlic was raw and it was tasteless My daughter had the special something wrapped in file she could not eat it. I set to eat there at least twice a week the food was amazing it had gone so far down we won't be going again

A very unpleasant experience for our family birthday dinner last night. It started with extremely long wait times and only got worse after our valid requests and appropriate feedback, then even worse as we left with our birthday cake deciding to celebrate elsewhere .. a much better vibe. So called 'management' behaved very poorly, lacked maturity, respect, manners and any customer service skills .. in fact she was unbelievably rude. Despite that, I took the time to personally thank the two staff members who were outstanding - the young male bartender and the security staff member. I also waited patiently to personally hand back my membership card to 'management', we certainly won't be needing it any longer.

Worst experience I have ever had eating out. Party of 10 people (being 3 families) who ordered one after the other. One couples meal came out and then the remainder had to be followed up 3 times. After the third follow up the children’s meals finally came out, at this point it was some 45 minutes from ordering. After multiple more follow ups and complaints about the status of the remaining 6 main meals we were told on a few occasions by the extremely rude manager that our food would be “next docket up”…. Another 10 minutes went by with other tables receiving food and no food to us - so clearly the manager was lying. We ended up demanding a refund and leaving without a meal at all. No apologies or even a glimmer of concern that this establishment can’t even get meals out. Whilst the wait staff were doing their very best the manager couldn’t even be bothered turning around to speak with us and was so incredibly rude that he really should reassess his decision to have a career in hospitality

A group of us (7) attended on Monday 1 August for lunch. The venue was very nice, and the young staff were very polite and tried to be helpful. The manager however was extremely rude. The food was very average. We will not be attending there again.

Folks, (I am referring to Knox Tavern staff), I ordered our meals and drinks in the one go and all seemed wonderful - as it has been in the past - mostly. However this time around at our weekly twin brother 'bro night', I ordered (as is the case every time at every establishment) a Scotch and Dry with a slice of lime for my brother. When the lady poured the drink it looked a little suss, but okay, off I trot to present it to bro, for him to take a sip and advise there's no way it was what was ordered. "I've never had a Scotch and Dry that either looked this colour (very hazy - like a brown fog) or tasted like this. It's undrinkable!" Okay, I trot back to the lady who poured the drink asking whether she used dry ginger, was the Scotch okay etc. To which she replied - yep, it was perfect. Back to the table and my brother took another sip and said he simply couldn't drink it. The taste was really bad. So once again I took it back to the lady advising that it was undrinkable. I didn't ask for a replacement, a refund, nothing, rather I left it for her to come back with a response (note that my brother took 2 very small sips, hence it was still almost full), and she did respond with "Okay". And walked off. That was the end of the conversation. I left the drink on the bar and was not approached whatsoever after this. Sorry, but this simply isn't good enough. Please note that of the roughly 500 'Bro' nights at which my brother always orders a Scotch and dry, we've never even had to think about taking his Scotch back to the bar!

This hotel doesn’t even rate 1 star - I give them NONE! Worst customer service ever provided. Waiter Nathan (apparently supervisor) knocked over drink onto table & myself. Didn’t apologise and then blamed me for doing it when he clearly did it (witnessed by 5 other people) Not even offering another drink or any apology or acknowledgement - extremely rude attitude. Also would not provide container for food of 1 guest to take home after had been paid for and not consumed instead again arguing why. I understand the regulations with the food act, but this meal was almost untouched & my guest wanted to take it home as she could not finish it due to us wanting to leave because of the poor service we had been receiving from the staff. Most of the staff that were on shift were not energetic, not friendly, looked miserable, poorly dressed & gave the impression they did not want to be there. It’s a shame to see how they represented the establishment. With closures of many businesses due to Covid it was disappointing to see such a lack of energy & shocking customer service. I’ve never experienced such dreadful service & made to feel belittled amongst my 5 guests. Extremely disappointed and will not recommend this establishment. Ruined a night out. Should have looked at these poor google reviews before attending this venue

I ordered a chicken Kiev not sure what I got. it was a piece of chicken covered in some sort of bread crumb's deep fried. I couldn't even cut through this thing and when I managed to break it open the chicken was dry and with no taste to it. this would have to be the worst meal I've had. I will never eat there again. I've had other meals there that have been okay but this Kiev was disgusting. even if the place offered me a free meal I wouldn't take it. this place needs to change the chef/pantry boy or order their food from another supplier. its hard to find the words to describe how bad this Kiev was. When the waitress came to clear the table she asked how was your meal when I told her she said I'll let the manager know. maybe she should have got the manager as the chicken Kiev was still sitting on the plate. i should have taken a photo.

Another one those places, that always drive past but never been. Reasonable price. Finally glad, able to find a place that has not stripped back thier menu!! Like Boronia Hotel, and other places. Food was delicious. Desserts were great. Staff please cautious when collecting plates when you think people are finished. Normally rule of thumb is if people lay cutlery on/across thier plates means done eating. But a very enjoyable evening and definitely be back!!! Love this place.

Food is always nice. I like fairly plain , but quality food, I can find that at this venue. Not expensive

Great local pub but does not have a schnitzel in sports bar any more. We normally go to this pub once a month but this time we were charged $20 to exit Knox complex after spending time there havng a meal and playing the pokies. So we wont be going back to this pub again!

Food was ok. Management needs to consider why they need to charge $2 for extra tarter sauce when the Fish and Chips are $26 already. Staff were pleasant.

A seniors must-go. Service (Paige) was excellent, menu was pleasantly simple and a sensible range of choices. The food quality, presentation, prices and portions were spot on and the wait time was negligible. Will definitely go again soon. Thank you. (Thu evening Oct 22)

The food was not good, the service was really bad , we didn't receive all our entrees only some and then had to have an argument to get the dishes not received from our bill. The chicken scolloppine was a slice of roast chicken with mushroom gravy. What the !!! The Parma was soggy , who stuffs up a parma?? We had eaten here before but after this time I doubt we will eat there again.

So, food was amazing, most of the service was good apart from the one bartender fella with glasses that worked tonight who’s star sign is a Pisces! He was very rude, very unapproachable and not easy to speak to. Quite literally, everyone else was much nicer and approachable, the other bartender, the security guard are all kind however he was very much the one that brought down the atmosphere with his sour persona. Disappointing with him on your team but everyone else fantastic.

I’ve had ordered Roast chicken A grey half a chicken with grey cold potatoes Cut into to chicken raw blood coming out They replaced it with Caesar salad again croutons were wet and soggy. chicken tenders over cooked. three items (we a party of 15 ) were not available The excuse was we are getting a new menu hopefully new menu will be better

First time at knox tavern for my grandson 16th, delicious food and service, but my son found the place stressing as there was a lot of guests who made it quite difficult to hear the conversation on our table. My son had to leave and was not able to eat his meal, which was refunded. Just wanted to say thank you for the understanding.

Ordered a medium rare rump steak and got an almost well done steak. Wasn't a very good cut either. One of the worst steaks I've ever had. Will not go back there again. Two stars for fresh side salad and chips.

Stopped in for a random lunch which was set up and delivered by charming, helpful, staff. We were not overly hungry so we ordered off the starters menu - huge tasty dim sims, prawns in a shell beautifully cooked with a great sauce and a ton of wedges to fill the gaps. A nice, unplanned, visit - we would go again:)

Ive been a customer at Knox Tavern for well over twenty years and have always been content. Last night I dined 31st Oct 2022 in your bistro and ordered Chicken and Avocado Scallopine. The Avocado was minimal and the cream sauce was I believe left in the kitchen. The broccolini was cold also. Im not one for complaining but as Ive been a chef for over 50 years I want you to be aware of your food and the lacking of its main ingredients.

NOT somewhere to take children! The service was the worst I’ve ever experienced, I had to wait 30-45 minutes for my food and when I went up to ask about this I received a very rude and blunt response. All the waiters, especially one which I assume is the owner was extremely rude to my whole table, constantly giving us death stares as they walked past and not a single polite exchange occurred. The food was below average quality as well, I received a bland dry chicken in a dry burger in which the only other ingredient was a gross coleslaw (why?? at least some cheese?) the children with my family were treated very poorly, with one being told off by the staff and another being trampled by the staff with NO APOLOGY (1 year old!). Never coming back. Horrible experience.
