Cozy cafè in Gouda. Very good food and atmosphere

Staff are really friendly! And the atmosphere of the cafe is so lovely!! Loved it's special Sandwich!!

Fantastic place! The owners did a great job on the renovation preserving the old authentic environment. No matter who you are: the local citizen, the traveller, a couple, a family or a season freelancer or nomad with a laptop, you will find your space there and most surely will want to come back next time. Lovely intimate restaurant, coffee shop with historic backyard and situated at little canal in historic center of cheese city Gouda.

Cozy place with excellent food and beer

After booking a dining experience through an activity provider where we could choose between different sets, like unlimited pancakes, tea set, or beer and snacks, etc. When we got to the place, the lady who attended us was not welcoming at all towards us. Apparently we had to choose the option through the app but the option wasn’t displayed, and at the restaurant they would only allow us to do the pancake menu although the price was the same as the other options. She said it wasn’t possible to do the tea menu or the beer and snacks because they didn’t have it. I am baffled when thinking how the other customers are having tea and snacks next to me and I have to get only pancakes. She kept insisting on not having any beers or tea to serve us and insisted on us paying additional despite paying in advance. While trying to understand why it wasn’t possible, the waiter kept getting more frustrated and ever more rude to us. Even told us maybe it would be better to go somewhere else, even though she knew we could not cancel her he activity anymore. In the end we paid 30€ for unlimited plain pancakes, they didn’t even give us any fruit, just syrup and sugar. Ridiculous! So, if you’re looking for a place to get what the waiter wants you to get and rude service, you’re coming to the right place.

I don't review often but we had such a nice mixed/warm lunch here (lunch for 2), everything had such a lovely homey quality and the coffee was great!

Hidden treasure in Gouda for lunch and coffees!

The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The workers were very nice and the seats and tables were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend 10/10

Nice place for lunch, everything on our plate was fresh and filling. We went for the sharing meal which was 2 plates exactly the same, with a bit of variety which was perfect for us, washed down with a nice Rose and a beer.
