Five stars is not enough! This team of coaches and the community I found at AMP will be very hard to replace. I started training here during a very busy period of international work travel and was looking for accountability. The semi-private sessions were the perfect way to get that, despite an erratic schedule. This team is incredibly knowledgeable and takes a holistic approach to fitness while maintaining a fun, enthusiastic and supportive environment. Highly recommend training at AMP!

When you're a member at AMP, you're a member of an amazing fitness family. AMP provides a truly unique, uplifting and most importantly, INCLUSIVE experience for members of all walks of life. The AMP team supported my fitness journey through thick and thin over the past few years. As a former 2 sport collegiate athlete, I wanted to train hard, but work within the constraints of my injuries. The AMP team was able to create a custom regime for me to push myself, and crush my fitness goals, all while protecting myself from further injury and adjusting my workouts as needed. My job requires me to travel most weeks, so it was also amazing to have a custom workout, all available through an app on my phone (with videos & instructions) to do while on the road. Overall, my experience with AMP has been amazing and I would recommend for ANYONE regardless of where you are in your fitness journey. You will have fun, crush your goals, meet amazing people, and be a part of a truly special organization.

AMP is a wonderful place to work out / train for all levels and abilities. As someone who doesn’t love to work out, Steve (owner/one of the trainers) and the staff make it fun; they are knowledgeable, helpful, and encouraging. The people that attend are wonderful — I find myself encouraged to go to see the wonderful friends I’ve made. The environment is personalized, supportive, kind, and inclusive! 10/10 would recommend!

I just cannot say enough good things about AMP Fitness. I was sent to AMP from my physical therapist. I've got a ton of old injures that really get in the way of staying in shape, and need a guiding hand to be sure sure zi stay on track. My PT strongly recommended AMP, and I am pleased to say they have exceeded my expectations on every level. Let me share that a member of our household is severely immune suppressed and as such we all have to be extremely careful about exposure to Covid. Many gyms and trainers are returning full-bore to in-person, and ( usually ) maskless memberships. Our doctor warned us that this is just too high a risk for our household, and I've spent the past 20 months despairing that I cant go to the gym. What a great relief to learn that AMP has Video ZOOM training sessions! It h changed my life to be able to work out again safely, with a trainer. If AMP just provided Zoom sessions, Id be thrilled, but what really counts is the quality of those trainings. I've had the pleasure of working with Eric and Ari as well as Lindsay. Each of them are attentive, incredibly tuned into my form and technique, and encouraging when I'm in a bit of a funk about my old injuries. Additionally, the team there continually revises the work out plan to challenge me at new levels. Their level of skill and mastery of exercise technique in really off the charts! I've had a few health issues, professional commitments and family medical crises since joining the club-- way more than I ever would have imagined-. These have sometimes gotten in the way of my attendance- for trainings - Both Steve and Lindsay have reached out constantly to be accommodating to my schedule: they've been nothing but supportive and flexible. I am so glad I found AMP- I look forward to many more exciting work outs online. I also know AMP provides an incredible array of in-person classes: you really owe it to yourself to check out the variety and frequency of the classes they offer. I cannot wait to get to join them in person once our household gets the ok for me to go to in person classes. Thank you AMP Fitness!

First off, I cannot say enough good things about AMP Fitness pre-, during, and now post-pandemic. They handled these transitions like true leaders and I greatly appreciate how they’ve helped me this past year (which is what prompted me to write this review). And to be completely candid, Amp Fitness has changed my life. I know that sounds cliche, but it’s true. I joined in 2015 with the simple goal of improving my general fitness -- moving better and more comfortably, improving my strength, and reducing tightness/stiffness. Not only do I feel better than I did in college, I may actually feel the best I have since I can remember. I move better and more confidently. I no longer have any physical discomfort. I’ve gained strength and mobility. And I (actually) enjoy fitness and actively managing my health. They make it easy. I own a small business, which means I have more stress and less free time than I’d like. Feeling better physically (and with less pain) has significantly improved my focus, productivity, and resilience to endure stress. I used to read every article I came across about this, but it was something I truly had to experience to understand. In addition to all of the above, the culture at AMP is second to none. They are some of the most generous and well-intentioned people I’ve ever met, and they care deeply about their Members and really anyone they come in contact with. They customize the programs and experience for each individual Member so you truly get to experience results EVERY time you walk in the door. The best part? They work so hard to make fitness accessible and judgment-free for everyone, regardless of a person’s fitness level or experience. I never understood the importance of having an extended fitness family, but it’s one of the (many) reasons I’ve stuck with it so long. This is part of what makes the culture so awesome. I can honestly say AMP changed my life. How many people can say that about their gym?

Can there be love at first site with a gym? I came to AMP via Class Pass after losing one too many trainers at my former gym. Almost instantly I knew it was the right place for me. Steve, Lindsay and Eric are all incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming and enthusiastic. The workouts are challenging, but the atmosphere is never intimidating. Workouts at my prior gym were a bit scattershot and I feel like I had plateaued. The workouts felt good, but I wasn’t really seeing any changes, either in strength or weight loss. That all changed when I started at AMP. Classes are based on kettle bell, band and body weight exercises and change on a monthly basis. Each week is progressively more difficult. It’s a great format that leaves room to work on form and never gets boring. Classes are small, which means there’s also a lot of individual attention. Semi-private sessions are a chance to really work on strength training and mobility. Programs are customized and are 4-6 weeks long. Everyone is encouraged to hit a personal record (reps, weight or some other goal) every session, which is a great motivator. The programs travel well too, so workouts don’t have to be skipped during business trips or vacations. I would (and already have) recommended AMP to my friends and colleagues. I would also recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a consistently challenging workout with trainers and fellow gym-goers who are supportive and happy to be there.

AMP fitness is the best! I have been going there for about a year and it is the best part of my day. I feel challenged in a really supportive way. I am stronger and healthier and love being a part of the totally diverse AMP family. Everyone there is so nice and they really truly care about all the clients. I’m so happy I found this place.

Joining AMP fitness in January of 2020 was one of the best fitness and wellness decisions I have ever met. Period. Being new to Boston, I was looking for a gym with a good sense of community, where trainers and members actually know and care about each other. AMP fitness is all that and then some. For one, they are very inclusive. Second, and most importantly, Lindsay, Steven, and the all the coaches really care about every member’s fitness journey. They tailor the semi-private workout program to your skills, needs, and goals, and help you to just always be a little better version of yourself. I also like that they explain why they have you do certain exercises—they have all the knowledge that I expect of good coaches, and they also SHARE it with their members. During the COVID-19 closure of the gym, Lindsay and Steve somehow managed to create a virtual workout format over night. Both the virtual classes as well as the semi-private virtual coaching over Zoom are excellent. The team adapted all the exercises, so they could be done with minimal or no equipment. What I find even more impressive though was that Lindsay and Steve kept checking in with us members during that time to see how we are doing more generally. The quarantine was hard on everyone, and the fact that the AMP team cared so much about the membership during a time when they were facing a lot of hardship really says it all. I could go on and on about why AMP is truly one of the best workout places I have ever experienced. The bottom line is: You get to workout in a welcoming, inclusive community with knowledgable and caring coaching, and get 1% better every day.

I can't give a high enough recommendation for AMP Fitness and its team. AMP provides an inclusive and supportive experience for anyone to achieve their fitness goals -- from beginners (like me!) to more experienced lifters, young, old, and of any orientation, gender identity, or background. The group training sessions provide customized exercises, expert instructors, and both staff and members who genuinely care about helping you achieve your fitness goals. Do yourself, your body, and your health a favor by training with AMP Fitness!

I’ve enjoyed working out at Amp for over a year. I’ve worked w Ari and Steve and mainly focused on fundamentals and form as I had never lifted weights previously. Their work out routines and coaching gave me the foundation I needed to be able progress to heavier weights but even more important the grasp to be able to go into an open gym and create a plan and execute a well rounded workout. Previously I world do three different types of cardio and call it a day.

This gym is great! Extremely clean with a wide selection of cardio machines and strength equipment. Fellow members are respectful and careful about sanitizing equipment, while the front desk staff is really friendly and helpful.

AMP Fitness has been so amazing the past 7 months, I can only say great things about this gym. I’m moving out of state or I would be a lifelong member. It’s an amazing value for the type of training. I’ve done personal training at BSC and Equinox, and even though it’s not one on one (usually 2-4 people total in each session), the coaching and training is just as good if not better than my one on one experiences. AMP Fitness is such a great community and they cater to all levels and goals! I will miss them and thank you AMP fam for everything!

AMP Fitness was the first gym I ever joined and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The coaches are knowledgeable, approachable, and fun. I've had two injuries in the past year and both times the coaches were able to tailor classes and my semi-private training so I could continue to move during my recovery. This flexibility has been invaluable in both my recovery and in continuing my fitness goals.

Joining AMP Fitness has been, hands down, one of the BEST decisions I’ve made since moving to Boston! Before discovering AMP – I had always gone to the big box gyms where you basically don’t make eye contact with anyone, get your workout in, and leave. At AMP, however, someone is always there to say “Hi” from the moment you walk in, motivate you during your class and/or session, and then have some genuine conversation after you’re done nailing your workout. The coaches and members are such amazing human beings and AMP Fitness is truly an all-inclusive family that loves and supports one another in and outside of the gym!
