Great park to walk through and view some local history but is honestly more of a rest stop then anything else. You sit on the cool stone seating, view the fountain, and then continue on the Freedom Trail or whatever else. Offers some really nice grass to rest on so I can't hate the place. Pros: - Nice grass and cold benches - Lots of historic features - Along the freedom trail directly after the longest walking portion Cons: - Dead next to a busy road way - Fountain isn't always on

This was a cute park. It was small, but it was refreshing to be in where the city has little to no plant life.

Perfect little park, which use to be a highway ramp, and covered by the elevated train station. Things do change.

The City Square Park is located in Charlestown and can be reached after crossing the Charlestown Bridge from the city centre of Boston. This is a small patch of green space established here in the 1990s. The city park is small but well landscaped. Here you'll find a fountain with an interesting pole and weather vane, plenty of seating area along the walkways. The Freedom Tail sort of weaves its way through the square, making this a good place to stop and rest your feet before proceeding to the Charlestown Navy Yard attractions or crossing the bridge if touring the trail in the southbound direction.
