The food is very fresh and very well cooked . Unfortunately this is all damaged by a terrible service made by an unfriendly staff . The staff are annoyed after every request , there is no smile and their behavior is such a level of low class dinner ... I usually do not write negative review but this is quite disappointing to have this type of attitude and service when you target high end restaurant

In general this place is fine. Very reminiscent of chain American restaurants like Chili's, Cheddar's or Applebee's. I do really like the atmosphere of this specific Hippopotamus and the staff are very kind. Unfortunately, though the menu is similar to what is offered in the States, it isn't quite as tasty. On top of that, the portions have become smaller and the prices have increased over the past few years.

Rather nice, but only if you order what they are good at. It is a meat restaurant, don't go there for vegetarian options. Go here for steaks, ribs, entrecôtes, fries. Go here for the French toast. It is semi fast food, meat dominated. In that class, value for money is fine.

Strongly NOT recommended !!! Very slow service - we waitted 1 hour before served. Even the starter "Nems" which my friend took was cold inside, like just get out from the fridge. The waiters are not kind at all. To avoid this restaurant at Bourg la Reine.

Poor oldest steak house not at usual level of other restaurant. Building odler. Cook service too long and not good quality
