👍👍 This is one of the nicest places in Brasov, the food is great, whatever i had was good, never had any complaints. They have a waste wine offer and very friendly staff. There is usually live music, traditional romanian. It can get really crowded on holidays so sometimes they don't accept reservation... People often mention good, traditional, restaurant, menu, service, prices,

This is one of the nicest places in Brasov, the food is great, whatever i had was good, never had any complaints. They have a waste wine offer and very friendly staff. There is usually live music, traditional romanian. It can get really crowded on holidays so sometimes they don't accept reservation but if u wait in the lobby they will get you a table. They have lunch menu between 12-18 in working days, students menu and menu for retired people with special prices.

Overpriced food and oily. I ordered french 🍟 fries and got some overcooked potatoes. Just like everyone else said, stay away. Those who gave 5 stars are lucky or friends with the owner.

This restaurant is really a must if you’re passing through Brasov. I’ve the best papanasi ever and generally the traditional Romanian dishes they offer are an absolute delight. The adorable personnel really made our dinner here an unforgettable moment.

Very good food, they have a sort of marinated mushrooms (sponge) that I have rarely seen in any restaurant. Good food variety and the service was nice. They have live music as well, when we went there was a concert with Romanian folklore music.

I went to this restaurant via a recommendation from a friend while visiting BV. I love it so much that one weekend I whent specifically to BV (from Bucharest) to just eat there. I love the traditional selection of traditional foods, the receipes are original, traditional and are cooked in the specific way these were cooked in the past. I never had my order delayed and even if it would have been the case I would not bother as it is a joy to be on the terrace nowadays also the food is cooked on the spot (not refrigerated) so I would rather wait :) We had the smoked mushroom soup, rooster borsh, pork ribs and french fries, tochitura, papanasi (Romanian dumplings with jam and sourcream) all these accompanied by the most finest, home made Afinata (please try it), you can really taste the blueberrys! I have a deep appreciation for this restaurant as products like pickles, jam and specific traditonal drinks (afinata, visinata, etc) are in house made. The interior of the restaurant is eye capturing and the traditional music really makes you wanna learn the Romanian specific dances. The staff was very kind and friendly ! I cannot wait to return and try other mouth watering dishes! P.S. Please try the home made bread, it was fluffy, tasty and warm ♥️ Date of visit: October 2020

Went on a quiet Monday. Service was good, and while it took a while, the food was astounding. See photo - meats were succulent and delicious. It was so much food for 3 people. We were stuffed afterwards

We were on the terrace. We arrived first, at 11.50. we wanted some brunch. Ordered before 12, when the limit for brunch is. It took them half an hour to boil 2 eggs and to fry other 2 eggs and 2 sausages. The portions were quite small and very overpriced, everything was very slow and the waiter was not very interested in his job, not very involved. We felt as if we bothered him from his siesta. The 2 stars are there actually for the chocolate cake, which was absolutely delicious. But it took them forever to bring it, i actually had to remind them of the cake. So if for boiling 2 eggs and frying other 2 it took them 40 min, i can't imagine how long it will take them for other stuff, more complex. Not recommended. Only get the cake to go.

We ordered delivery, vegetables soup had meat in it, other soup was badly handled and part of it was spilled out. Oriental salad had everything in it, like someone put a normal salad together with some potatoes and boiled egs, like tomatoes and fresh cucumbers, something you do not put in it normally. Also the sauces for "papanasi", not the right kind of topings.

Managing to rise to the level of its name, the place fully delivers as promised : very good food, excellent service and a tad above average price. But it is all worth it!

We enjoyed our time here. Delicious Ciorbă, grilled veggies full of flavor, and miți were on point. The crown of the day was my favorite dessert Papanași. Service was very attentive and friendly. Prices were on point for the area.

Recommended by relatives after their visit the place was found to be not good at all. The 2 stars are given for the soups, which were ok. The service was not good, we were waiting 1h for the main dish and the food was horrible in each of the plate of the family. When asked why everything was changed and different, the waiter's answer was disrespectful. I don't recommend it.

Tasty food close to the main tourist area with reasonable prices. I had the Transylvania soup and the Sarmalute, both were delicious! The service was great and we enjoyed the lovely open air seating.

Great place to try traditional Romanian cuisine. Quick service, menu was available in English and a good beer too!

Great place for lunch with their menu deal of soup, meat and pickled vegetables for 29 lei. Average price of drinks is 20 lei and they make money from them but 10€ for a full lunch considering the location is absoloutely not bad. They also accept card payments.

Disappointing experience with the customer service. Despite waiting patiently for 5 minutes for a table to be cleaned, we were informed they couldn't accommodate us. The communication was lacking, and the staff's attitude was quite rude.

The pork steak ordered was very raw, the same with the fish. Very disappointing experience, it used to be a nice place a few years ago but not anymore! And the prices are too high for what they offer, do not recommend this restaurant.

Walked in on a Saturday evening, with no prior reservation..place (nicely decorated, good atmosphere) was pretty packed, but still managed to get a table (thru own efforts, there was no one to greet & sit us etc). The menu looked exhaustive, prices were reasonable, a bit lower than what we're expecting to pay..now the disappointments started: no soups available whatsoever, of any kind (at 7:30pm)...the Turkey salad had chicken in it instead of turkey ( the waitress aknowledged this by her own)..the traditional chicken-pot-roast-with-garlic-sauce dish had an almost-burnt piece of chicken served ( i like my chicken to be cruncky but this one was out of range, almost inedible..and i have made no prior remarks on my preferences to the waitress..was this an accident or their usual serving method? I would not know)...portions were a bit small, comparing with the usual portion sizes in a traditional restaurant...the requested hot chocolate was a cup-a-chocolate drink, very thick, almost like a cake cream, wrong flavour and taste (we've requested 'simple chocolate' flavour, we got served 'peanuts-chocolate' flavour instead, but no one asked our 'ok' for it in advance...afterwards, the waitress was kind enough to offer a free replacement with a different available flavour of their stock).Bottom-line and conclusion: inconsistent quality (got friends who were happy with the place in the past) despite potential/kind personnel/good prices..I would likely not visit them again, when back in the area.

Food was served cold, the taste wasn't good either. The waiter took our order without writing it down and forgot to bring certain dish. The atmosphere was nice as there was a locat singer, but that was all about it.

A great romanian restaurant with a diverse menu of local dishes. The sarmale were as-if made by a grandmother from the countryside, honestly ranking among the best I ever had! If any suggestion to the owner, make the portion size of the sarmale slightly bigger, we couldn't get enough of them :) The mici platter was amazing as well, there I won't recommend increasing the portion size because if that won't fill you up, nothing will!

The waiter was super efficient when we told him we only had 1 hour to eat before our tour left. Food was reasonable and decent. Friendly staff and extremely quick service- we ate a late lunch and the restaurant wasn’t busy.

Very nice location, în the heart of Brașov. The food is good with medium prices. There is also live roumanian music.

Big disappointment…At the lunch time they didn’t have many of the soups from the menu. The soups were pretty average not so tasty at all. I wouldn’t recommend the location as there are many other in the area with much better food and way over better services.

We had high hopes for this place when we read the reviews and saw locals eating here, but it was by far the worst food we’ve eaten in Romania. The pork ribs were extremely dry and over cooked and it felt like we were eating jerky straight off the bone. When we asked for extra sauce, we were told the only option was Mayo. The cabbage rolls appeared to have raw meat inside of them and the polenta had 0 flavor whatsoever. The only thing that was even slightly tasty was the beetroot salad. To top it all off, we paid over $40 USD for this meal and feel like it was worth $15 for the quality of the food we received
