Designed for tourists who will come there once. We waited for a table for about 1:30 minutes. And when we ordered food, it turned out to be a waste of time!! the food was tasteless and mediocre, which was very disappointing. The fish was completely dry. The waiters forgot about us, the menu waited 15 minutes, after which he went and took it himself. One of the dishes was never brought to me but was honestly included in the bill! Will never go back there and would definitely not recommend!!

Lovely restaurant with a very nice Romanian traditional decor. The place was full when we arrived at lunch time but the service was very fast! The staff was nice and very friendly. They have a lot of traditional food options and what we tried was very tasty :) The prices are very good for quality and portion size! Would come back here again!

The food was scrummy and the place was great! The staff is very welcoming and gives a lot of attention to the customers! Asked for toasted bread for my aubergine salad, and the waiter was kind to say yes! I have had asked other 3 waiters in 3 different restaurants in Brasov and they all said no. Glad that we went there to the Ursul Carpatin!

Absolutely delicious. Read the reviews and definitely had to try this place out while in Brasov.... It did not disappoint at all, We had the ursul burger with fries and the grilled sausages which had cheese in the middle... wow. Also of course we had to try the papanasi for dessert and it was everything we expected it to be. Thank you.

This place is good because it doesn't heat up pre-cooked food like other stores. The meat was so delicious, I was moved by the way the young male employee worked hard, and the female employee didn't look at the customer even if she tried to make eye contact, tried to avoid it, and kept exchanging messages without working during my stay The rest of the staff is tired because this person is not working. I don't need him at the store It's just a distraction ★House wine here is really good ★Men are hardworking and kind, women are not working and unfriendly

Delicious! Been travelling Romania for 3 weeks this is the best restaurant so far. I was with a party of six I was only non Romanian . They also comment on excellent food. From the owner to the staff very friendly atmosphere. The Papanași are best I ever ate. I highly recommend it even if you stop for a coffee only. .

The food was okay, nothing spectacular. The burger was average, while the marinated ribs were really delicious. The grilled pork was not done, it was pink-ish. Potatoes had absolutely no salt.

Nice atmosphere and food, but very inattentive staff... they forgot the cutlery, napkins and brought one glass for 4 people, they didn't clean the dirty dishes for a long time....

It's an ok place, the food is not amazing, and there's only outdoor seating. When I was there they were out of some really popular dishes (sarmale, camomile tea, veggie soup), and the dishes they had were underwhelming (tripe soup not served with sour cream and peppers, French fries were too oily). Prices were average for the city centre but I are much better elsewhere for these prices.

We had a very bad experience in this restaurant. First of all, we were only 5 people, but were not able to sit together. The food was awful: fries not properly baked and for every additional item like honey, mayo, sugar… you had to pay a ridiculous high amount. We fell in to this tourist trap. Worst of all they tried to not give back our change.

We came from Istanbul, Turkey and wanted to taste Romanian traditional food. Loredana and Adi helped us a lot in choosing food and beer. They were also smiling and friendly. We thank them very much. The food was great! Congratulations to the chef. The taste lingered in our palate. We will definitely come again :)

I love this place, the food was worth the wait. Taking into consideration that they have so many clients, many tables and the staff is running around all the time. Extremely hard working guys.

The main theme of this restaurant is traditional romanian food. I tried 4 dishes and they were exquisite. I recommend this restaurant for the food which is very fresh, even the pickled cabbage or the pickles are made in house which is a big plus. The pork ribs are fantastic. All thought it has 7 years of experience, it has grown a lot. So if you are the kind of person that want Al a carte restaurant you are in the wrong place. This is a family restaurant and the food is delicious and fresh. Also I recomand the wine, they have a good variety to chose from. I can't wait for the new restaurant to open.

The papanași are definitely among the best I ever had in Romania - and I always try them whenever possible! (a normal portion includes two pieces, but we split it so here in the picture it's only one)

The food is outstanding and the service was excellent. The prices were quite modest. Be sure to try the house specialty dessert, papanasi.

Very rushed service, asked the waiter 3 times to give us few moments to decide about our meal and still didn’t consider our request. They forgot to bring the cutlery before the dish and also forgot to bring a side salad we asked for. The quality of the food is cheap, not rich in flavour as it should be for a traditional Romanian restaurant. I have eaten much better in other traditional places. My girlfriend was also unsatisfied about the service and food.

Ordered chicken schnitzel, which was crunchy but totally tasteless. Papanasi okay.

First of all i came here very hungry and expecting good food. I ordered a burger and the meat was burned on both sides and unseasoned. The beef tripe soup had a weird taste, very unsual because it probably had pickle red pepper juice. I also ordered a picked red pepper salad which was very sloppy/flabby. After we ate it Took about 20 minutes to dispose the plates from our table. In the meantime the waiters Were not doing anything But smoking. Even though i talked with the waiter about the burned meat which i Could not i did not get Any answear. Waste of money on food!!

Amazing food. We ordered off the traditional menu and it surpasses all the restaurant I have tried so far. Razvan was our waiter and he was extremely friendly and helpful. Definitely made a great impression on us. Definitely will come back for the food and hospitality.

Romanian traditional food Mititei was great, big portion, fresh fries(yes,fresh, not from freezer). Great ambient and friendly staff.

The service was excellent. The food on the other way is disappointing, comparable with what you would get from an industrial caterer. The Maluri de Prut wine is excellent!

At Ursul Carpatin you can find the best food and services from Brasov. My visit to them was really amazing. Keep going! 👍

Great staff - english speaking, kind and polite. We ordered papanasi and some local food. It was perfect, highly recomend. You can pay by card. Toilets were clean. Also big advantage is that they cook till the night.

we order mici or mititei, i.e. traditional minced meat sausages with fries, 26 lei and carnaciori de casa afumati, i.e. home-made smoked sausages with fries, 27 lei and beer 8.50 lei/litre. The food is tasty, just a pity that it got quite cold already.

Lovely restaurant: the decorations were tasteful and the food was delicious. But what I appreciated the most was the welcoming and friendly staff. Will definitely return next time I'm in town.

I absolutely love this place. On the first visit I was treated like family. The food is outstanding. I love the soups and my personal favorite is the chicken schnitzel with the potatoes. They also have an amazing wine and beer selection. If you are in Brasov this should be your first stop. I guarantee you will return again and again. The staff are first rate. Great traditional Romanian food, with lots of indoor space, just perfect for cold days. We found available tables for 2 families, with children. Thank You, Daniel, for the excelent service.

This is my first time in Brasov and of course I took a stroll through the plaza/promenade. Just past the plaza is this restaurant on the corner. My eyes were bigger than my stomach as I ordered a lot of food for just myself. However, it was well worth it. I ordered the traditional cheese starter and the Ursal Carpatin’s traditional bbq (the small one). The food was great and the service was great. Darius was my server and he was prompt to take my order and checked on me often to see if I needed anything. The outdoor seating provides a wonderful atmosphere and is not loud. Reasonably priced as well.
