Absolutely beautiful synagogue. It costs 5 lei to enter, but the inside of the shul is gorgeous. Absolutely worth the stop. I will say that when we arrived, the building was closed and no one was around, even though it was the middle of the day and the hours were open. We hung around for a few minutes and the woman admitting folks came back. I think some flexibility might be necessary at times.

    Beautiful synagogue

It's a nice-looking synagogue, although not worth the 10 lei entrance fee (there's nothing to visit, and everything can be seen from the window). The entrance fee should be considered as a donation.

A beautiful and bright interior with lots of stained glass windows. They have windows along the side that represent many cities in Israel. There is an admission charge but I forgot exactly how much it is. There is a lovely memorial to the Transylvanian Jews that were killed in WWII just outside and to the right.

A very nice synagogue. The people here are very hospitable. The synagogs restaurant has kosher food and the prices are reasnoble. A advice you to call ahead and check when are they open. If you come as a group you should schedule with the restaurant ahead. The holidays dinner are very fun and special and the synagogue itself is beautiful!

10 lei entrance. The administration speaks English, Romanian and Hebrew. Memorial of the holocaust can be found here. The synagogue is typical Jewish. The congregation is held on Sabbath as well, entrance of the non-Jewish available.

Wonderful edifice both on the outside and the inside, although I feel they could have done a better job with telling the history of the place and the Jewish community of Brasov. That being said, the entry fee of about two euros is reasonable for what you get to see. There is a kosher restaurant nearby as well as a monument commentating the Jews who were killed during the Holocaust.

Pretty, well-maintained synagogue, I was able to visit it alone that day, I spent an hour inside. Even if it is closed you have to see the reception in the courtyard door on the right, a lady comes to open it for you. For the ticket, take cash, there is no bank card terminal. Around €7.

Beautiful synagogue but kept by goyim as there are almost no Jews left. Kosher restaurant next door, but cooked by goyim as well.

It should be a must see if you visit Brasov. This building is located in a very central area in a courtyard and its white color is striking. The interior is very well kept and invites contemplation even for those who don't believe you. The visit costs 20 lei. To be seen.

I didn’t go in but it was so beautiful on the outside. I love religious buildings and this is the finest synagogue I’ve seen.

Be mindful of the opening hours, closed after 15:00. Beautiful tradition in the backyard with the cherry trees. All in all-Jewish homes of prayer are very beautiful places wherever they are

The Beth Israel Synagogue in Brasov (Hebrew: בית ישראל), a neological synagogue in the vernacular language, stands at 29 Poarta Șchei Street in the center of Brasov, Romania, behind the street front, on a plot surrounded by houses. The synagogue still plays a ritual role. The building complex includes a community seat and a kosher restaurant. Beth Israel Synagogue is included in the list of National Historic monuments in Romania under the number BV-II-m-B-11515.

I visited the synagogue on a Monday, adult admission 20 lei, children free. Overwhelmingly, I understood that the synagogue is now used by ultra-orthodox Jews, who are a more closed and less liberal society.

It's a pity that it was closed, but for sure next time I will visit this location which for me means a lot from a religious, historical and last but not least personal point of view, I also visited the synagogue in Rome, which is wonderful

Was closed, you can only see it from outside and it was looking nice. Hope I will have a chance to see what it's inside.

A large and beautifully constructed synagogue, about 100 meters from Schei Gate. Inside is peacefully silent. stained glasses on the windows bears names of the cities in Is-rael. Tourists’ entrance is 10 lei.

Beautiful interior, a shame that the exhibition was closed. I liked the idea of the trees planted in the garden. I wish it had a little more information about the building itself, maybe it is in the exhibition.

I went during the opening time and a very rude woman told me that it was closed. I’m leaving Brasov very sad.

The ticket is a bit expensive but definitely worth it if you are interested in Judaism and Jewish culture.

I found the houses in the same street more pretty than the sinagogue

You need to know that you have to pay to enter. Too small and to white, I would say empty......so I don't understand the price.

Very nice looking restored synagogue from the outside. However to actually enter you must pay 10 lei. I have a problem on principle with paying money to enter places of worship. As a romanian jew, all I want is to visit a little slice of my tradition and history. What if I was actually very religious and having a spiritual crisis or moment and needed the sanctuary of a synagogue to pray? Would I still need to pay? Very disappointing.
