I'm very rarely give five star reviews but I found this restaurant to be completely delightful. Professional staff, authentic Romanian food including a menu that is complete with everything you might want to try. Wonderful environment including live music at times and not far from the heart of Brasov. Lovely time. The only negative I might mention is that there are six or eight tables to your left as you walk down the incline into the restaurant, and they are still on the incline and it's nice to be seated in an upper chair but a little bit challenging to be seated in a chair where you feel like you might tip over or have to keep your balance forward. I enjoyed my experience here and we'll definitely return.

Great ambiance with amazing food. I would recommend beef soup, beef tripe soup and specially Plate steak with smashed potatoes. Cooked to perfection. Medium with right amount of chew. For dessert i recommend the lava cake with ice cream.

Classic Romanian restaurant, but: 1. The whole place is a SMOKING zone. 2. Very, very loud live music (once stopped - background music is nice). Nevertheless, we came in two couples with 4+3 kids and had fun. Good food. Must make reservations and mind the drive and parking - very tight streets.

Quick service even though the place was almost fully occupied. Tripe soup(ciorba de burta) is indeed one of the best I've had. The potato bread they served along with the soup was also top notch :) and free and they "refilled" it also for free once :) Other dishes are tasty as well. Prices are decent compared with a lot of other places in Brasov and not only. They have heaters above the tables outside so you will be able to enjoy the food without being cold. Recommend and will for sure come again. Live music. Parking: there are quite a few parking spots in front of the entrance they were all full and was a bit difficult to find a spot nearby.

I went there for a family dinner and the atmosphere was amazing. There was live music playing which made the waiting much more enjoyable. The food came really fast which was surprising and every dish seemed fresh made. We tried the chicken, the pork, the beef and the fish, and if I had to choose one I would definitely pick the beef! It was tender and well seasoned. Will for sure come again!

The best place in town for CIORBĂ!🍲 Especially tripe soup (or hangover soup). Greek style soup with turkey meat 🦃 is also amazing! All soups are! Eggplant salad and fish eggs salad, my favorite as well! I strongly recommend this restaurant also because they often have traditional folklore music and the staff is impeccable. Also, the bread 🥖 and spicy peppers 🌶️ are free! Let’s not forget about the peach 🍑 pălincă and the great and quite cheap house wine 🍷

We went there as a recommendation from the guy we tented our apartment from and we had a “so - so” experience and we went there twice and it’s 2- max 3⭐️s. The first time we were there my husband had a mixed grill combination with French fries - which was edible, but it lacked taste ( the chicken was dry, the pork was dry, the sausage was kinda too fat and the small - bad), but the french fries were ok. I had the beef stew with vegetables: the beef was good, the vegetables horrible. Just boiled, no salt, no pepper, no butter. Just thrown in boiled water. And the lemonade is a disgrace - i think it’s hellas or syrup lemonade. The second time we went there to eat papanasi, we had a glass of wine - not good, not bad 😒, papanasi - really good, tasty bun, flavorful, sweet - the portion is not too big, so think again if you want to share :)) and an apple pie - horrible, it didn’t even taste like it was made with apples. And again, it lacked spices ( cinnamon, vanilla). Also, no hot water in the bathroom, because we all like to wash our hands with freezing water!

Lovely restaurant, beautifully decorated, great food, higly recommended! We were lucky to have some live music too, lovely singers/dancers/ small band from Moldova in their traditional outfits.

I went to this restaurant with my family. It was a busy night for them which made the service slow. The positive was the great atmosphere, the place is buzzing and the live music was beautiful. In terms of food, it was very average. A lot of items were either reheated or frozen. Our fried cheese was served cold, papanas was also served cold. The soups were delicious but the main course meats were very dry and didn’t taste fresh. This place use to have phenomenal food, I’m not sure what has changed. Another very strange experience was that at the end the waiter basically forced us to give him a tip. I have to say this is the only restaurant I’ve ever been forced into giving a tip.

Bad service at this restaurant. The servers removing plates while we were still eating and without asking us. Servers, with their miserable face and grumpy attitude seemed that they hate their job. Very hot on the semi outdoor/indoor patio with no ventilation at all and where people are allowed to smoke. Not a pleasant restaurant ambiance. Food was OK, but nothing fancy, typical Romanian food. Price was FAIR. For 8 adults and 3 child we paid 1500 roni (aprox 300 euros). We had four plates entree and we had each a single course meal + desert. For drinks we had some house wine and couple of beers. Overall, just another mediocre Romanian restaurant.

We had our first papanasi in Romania! Amazing coffee and tasty papanasi! Great place for locals! Friendly and kind waiter with good English! They took care of us well! I definitely recommend this place! Cheers from Prague! Petr and Simona

Great place! Visually very nice! The food is also great! The staff is friendly, although they seemed overwhelmed when the restaurant was full. Had to wait a bit to get someone's attention to order something extra. There's a que at the entrance due to it's popularity but the wait time is decent. Overall a very pleasant experience!

Good restaurant for good prices, however their dishes lack salads or something along with them. They have nice live music though.

I ordered a beef fillet. It was cooked great as I prefer. Apple pie was cold, I’m not sure maybe it’s the Romanian typical style because I prefer it was hot.

The restaurant looks nice, it servs tradional romanian cousine. The service was a bit slow,we waited more than ten minutes to get served. The food was ok, but comparing to other restaurants in Brasov that also serve tradional food, it wasn't that good.Every dish was missing something.

I love the food here! It's very tasty and the prices are decent. I was impressed by this oldschoold waiter, Mr. Nicu; despite his age he is very snappy and professional.

The restaurant was a pleasant place overall. It looks like it is a local hotspot. There is parking in front of the restaurant, but with a limited number of parking spaces so you will most likely need to wait for someone to leave. Inside of the restaurant was a combination of modern and old, a very interesting place. It looks like there is live music often as there is a place for a band. The menu is really well organized. +1 for this! There is a number and image assigned to each dish, so if you are not familiar with cuisine you can understand what you are ordering. Prices are very good, nothing super cheap but completely within the value of this place. Service was okay-ish. The waiter forgot drinks and was slow overall. We ordered grilled/fried local cheese, soup and some pork dishes with polenta. The soup was great, full of meat and vegetables and it tasted really interesting, but it was a bit cold. Grilled cheese was somehow dry. I have no idea how. It looks like it was not deep fried but baked in an oven or air fryer? Not sure, but it was a bit weird. But, it was almost completely eaten.. The pork dish was really big, it could be split into two portions easily. Meat had interesting spices but it was of a lower quality cut. It would taste much better if the portion was a bit smaller but the meat was a better quality. In the center of the meat there is a big pile of Polenta with cheese that tasted okay-ish. Especially compared to some other places in Brasov that made it fantastically well. The overall score was not 3*, but not 4* as well. Food tasted okay-ish, service was okay-ish, but portions are big and price is lower so if that is your style - Go for it!

Amazing place for Eating traditional Romanian meals. The atmosphere and place is pleasing (sometimes live music is available) My advice, call for a reservation during weekends or peak hours.

Nice place, with plenty of space, pretty close by with a short walk from the city center. The food is good, with pretty good service. The lava cake was amazing. It's a must to try. Insanely delicious!

Fine restaurant with an exceptionally varied menu. A bit off the tourist path but still remarkably full even on a weekday, you'd say this has something to do with the food quality. The food was nothing special, typical Romanian stuff, since it was full I could see what was being brought to many other tables. The service is not the friendliest, no smiles, no special attention, just business as usual: you come, eat your grub, pay up, get lost. That being said, they are very fast on getting your food to the table, I was out of there in under an hour with a full terrace. Taking off one star because they have no draught beers, actually nothing but bottled drinks, even the plum brandy came in a small bottle
