Amazing place with very tasty traditional food. The atmosphere was great.

The food was tasty. The portions however were really small. Even the lemonade was served in the smallest jug I have ever seen (mobile phone for size comparison). Service was really bad, we had to ask several times for things like silverware, salt &pepper, etc. Expensive for what they offer, poor value for money.

Very traditional place, a lot of things to do in this place. Food...fantastic and you can taste a little bit of Romanian traditional food 😋 which is absolutely delicious.Service is also fantastic and the atmosphere makes you feel like in those times...If you ever go to Poiana Brasov, this is a place you must have it on the list. Definitely recommended, delightful staff..thank you for a lovely experience

Nice, cozy, hunting designed restaurant. It's really big place they can accept huge event too. Kind and helpful staff, delicious food. I suggest have to taste the Csorba soup and we choosed Wolf's plate with different type of meat :)

We were SCAMMED at this place. Came in 13 people (8 adults and 5 kids). Wanted to order dishes from the menu, then the waiter told us that it will be better and cheaper for us if we order big plates with varieties of meat for everybody to share instead. We agreed and pointed on the shared plates dishes that are in the menu. The waiter went and brought plates with different quantities of meat that turned out to be super expensive! The food itself was bad. We have been several times during this trip in excellent restaurants in Romania and in all of them we ate much better food and the price was about half than what we were scammed to pay here. We confronted the owner on what the waiter did and she gave us a tiny discount. Never going back to this place, and so should you. Yuck.

I have been to this place in October. The experience was bad enough but still I got back there yesterday as I was hungry and running out of options at that point. I am seated at the table, but the waiter gets lost somehow, I am asking another one to help us but nothing. In the end as we were waiting for a while now and no one come to take the order I stood up and politely I’m telling a lady that is clearing a table to tell her colleague that we are ready to order, then she gives me looks and still no one came. The place was empty and waiters just playing around. If you want to waste time , money and energy go for it. I will never step foot in that overpriced place ever again.

It's probably just me, but the atmosphere is at times a bit loud. Of course, that's because people are having a lot of fun and the live music is loud and sometimes it's too long. But the food is great, the service good. Overall, a nice experience.

Great food and great service. We came here in extra season, so in full seson( July untill end of February) is full and have to wait to catch a free table. But it is worth the wait!

Great restaurant, great staff, delicious and well made food in a magnificent place under the snowy mountains of Poiana Braşov which is surrounded by a magical, dense and superb forest! Feeling enchanted straight from the beginning that you step your foot in that place and restaurant!!

Nice restaurant with a huge terrace, great food, a bit understaffed or maybe it was just a crowded day. I definitely recommend it for traditional romanian food.

Well, sometimes nothing changes. I was disappointed to see that the bunch of “musicians “ are still there running from one table to another almost begging for money. Dishes weren’t so great, but the biggest disappointment was the fries on child menu being a little spicy. No awareness by waiter although she mentioned she knew that fries are spicy.

If you want to try Romanian food and more this is the perfect place. The staff is so careful, attentive, the atmosphere is great. The food is amazing, so tasty and the presentation of the food is great. Sura Dacilor is a perfect place to eat if you come to Poiana Brasov. I totally recommend.

Noting that we don't speak other than English, they were very helpful to explain us the ingredients and help us decide what to order. So 5 stars for the hospitality. The food was amazing. Really very good. Considering that it is an outdoor service, they are very well organised and the ambient is so nice.

A big and traditional, well-known restaurant, nice decour and atmosphere. Many food options, I got the deer bourguignon and was not disappointed, was so good.

Staff were excellent, very attentative and extremely helpful, we were surprised that the waiting staff spoke very good English which helped alot as we dont speak much Romanian, We asked for soup for a starter but was told soup was not served for dinner however waiting staff and kitchen staff went above and beyond and prepared and served us soup. The food in general was of most excellent quality. The setting felt unique, warm and very comfortable, even though this is mainly a winter resort a visit in June is worthwhile.

Delicious food, staff was very attentive. Get the papanași for desert. Good entertainment e.g. singers in traditional costumes.

Excellent food, great atmosphere, very friendly and forthcoming staff. Can only recommend the place. I had Mici with Oven Potatoes, my girlfriend had the Schnitzel with mashed potatoes. For dessert we had the Dacian pie. Mouthwatering and delicious all together. We look forward to coming back here. I can only recommend it. 10/10.

Nice traditional decorations! The food and service were good but could be better. The band was a bit noisy for the area. The outdoor area was not in use but we were just a few customers... It felt a bit tired/cold/not really welcoming.

It was an amazing experience! Food was good, especially home-made ice-cream was so delicious. I am in love with the atmosphere and staff was so kind and helpful. Definetely I would visit this place again!

Very unique experience in Romania, dome of the dishes were just ok, but the papanași and the crêpés with ice cream were fabulous. The service is good, but sometimes we had to wait long to ask for something extra. The restaurant itself is very special, I would recommend coming any time.

The food was great. The atmosphere is rustic and traditional, which is a good thing for the location. The cooking techniques are spot on. Stewed meat and roasts are falling off the bone and melt in your mouth. Fried and grilled meats are cooked and seasoned to perfection. Soups are full of flavour. Traditional dishes are authentic and delicious. A nice touch: wherever a dish contained ingredients from the freezer, that fact was clearly marked on the menu. Another nice touch: when there was a little mess-up in the kitchen, the serving stuff was very professional, but also very human and genuine and they did offer to knock the 'naughty' dish off the bill. It may not have been perfect, but it was damn good!

We ordered three plates, a salad, two beers and a lemonade. The third plate didn't arrive because they told us the kitchen was closed. The waiter doesn't know English and he used the body language 🤣 It was too expensive. The food was good, but I don't recommend it.

Nice and cozy place, people are very nice welcoming and offer a good service. The food is authentic and great, a true Romanian experience for those that come from abroad. Nevertheless the prices are good not to expensive taking in to account all the above plus the location. Enjoy! Bon appetite!😊

Great atmosphere, service and great tasting food (menu is in Romanian, but has English translation.) At the end of your meal, make sure you try "papanași". Great location winter or summer worth the visit!

The best traditional restaurant in Brasov County. Maybe the only one serving hunted meat like boar and dear. The taste is so good, very well prepared and the desert is wonderful. We served a cheese pie with vanilla lemon sauce. I strongly reccommend.
