The handcrafted items are amazing. The girl who helped us was super nice and packed carefully what we bought. Highly recommended if you want to keep a nice memory of Bucharest.

This is not your average souvenir shop. It’s Etsy Premium of Romania, where everything in the store is directly purchased from independent artists all over the country. The shop does a great job displaying the different pieces, often with English explanation on the origin. It’s like a little museum experience just browsing. I want to give a special shout out to Lulu, hands-down the sweetest shopkeeper who was so patient and kind in helping me select which Romanian pottery to take home. Being the indecisive person that I am, I was taking FOREVER deciding on which pottery (btw the store’s selection is simply amazing, not only it carries the famous Horezu ceramics, it also has a collection from the Transylvania region with classic blue & white patterns, ancient Cucuteni, as well as several others traditional and contemporary). Each piece is hand painted and there is no two patterns that are alike, so choosing one can be a bit very overwhelming. This is where Lulu comes in. First of all, she speaks perfect English like a native, and her knowledge and love for the Romanian art and heritage is profound. She was very generous with her time explaining to me the different origins of the pottery, their style and history, and even the artists behind the work. It’s clear she’s very passionate at what she does, and I felt so privileged to have gotten assistance from her. She also went to the stock room to bring out more plates for me to look at & choose from. In the end I decided on a 4 pieces of beautiful plates (with Lulu’s kind help), and now every time I look back at them, not only will I remember my trip to Romania but also the lovely conversation I had with her. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness, Lulu! I can’t wait to display the plates once I’m home.

To me it is the best store to find unique romanian products. Amazing accessories, pins, romanian shirts, rugs, poetry, and a lot more. You need to spend time in the store to check all the items. It is very well maintained. The sales lady is very helpful, cheerful and enthusiastic about her job.

Lovely little souvenirs shop, with lots of goodies. From traditional to modern reinterpretation of Romanian art, anyone can find something to fall in love. The prices are not small, but the quality, the atmosphere and staff are really worthy.

Beautiful shop selling Romanian craftsmanship. The owner was very friendly and took the time to explain the origins of various pieces, if I had brought a larger suitcase I would’ve definitely bought much more things than I did. Rest assured, this is not your regular souvenir shop, if you are around or are looking for something to bring back home you should definitely stop here.

Excellent handmade creations. If you want something memorable and unique feom Bucharest you need to pay a visit. My personal selection was the painted eggs.

Ilinca is a real gem at the My Romanian Store. Her English speaking and writing skills are top notch and we had no translation issues. She ensured we were satisfied with our purchase and kept in touch throughout the purchase, and shipping process. All the items arrived in great shape and included a nice little note. I recommend this little jewel of a store for authentic Romanian gifts.

Very nice store . If you are into man made arts then that’s your perfect destination . You won’t find the basic souvenirs like items with country’s flag or colors etc but you’d definitely love the original art work there!

A bit on the pricey side but it was the best souvenir shop I found in Bucharest. Really unique designs and traditionally based.

Beautiful products, but not a kid-friendly store at all. If you don’t want people to touch the real, hand-painted eggs, don’t put them down at eye-level for little ones to see. I wanted to stay longer but the clerk kept getting upset at my daughter. We had to leave before I had a chance to look around. Such a shame.

Love this place. They have Romanian products from local artists that aren’t cliche perfect for gifts, a bit on the more expensive side for a store in romania but most items are one of a kind and handmade so you get what you pay for.

I found this shop when exploring and photographing architecture one morning and came back later in the afternoon when they were open. EVERYTHING in the store is absolutely stunning, handmade, arranged in a way to savor the experience and the customer service I received was above and beyond. As an American who did not speak Romanian, I was delighted that the shop keepers spoke perfect English and we had a wonderful, lively conversation. When I returned to the U.S. I reached out in email to see if they would ship some additional items, they stated that yes they would but the shipping was high. Frankly it was not high to American standard for items crossing the Atlantic ocean and I ordered pottery that arrived unbroken in TWO WEEKS, so FAST SHIPPING. I cannot recommend this shop highly enough, do not miss it, it is the diamond in the crown that is Bucharest. -Martha

I forgot to write a review as I was busy moving, but this store should be the template for all souvenir stores in Bucharest. Good quality hand made items that are so well presented. The staff are kind and helpful, even telling me a place to find some palinca too! Would highly recommend this store.

I accidentally stumbled across this beautiful store and was immediately transposed into a land of cultural gems. I was surrounded by precious traditional pottery from areas all over the country where this craft is as old as time. I marvelled at the masks on the walls and the beautifully woven rugs, tried on perhaps too many ceramic medallions and delighted with the beautiful stories explained by the store clerk. I recommend this store with all my heart, if not for gifts, for a beautiful, culture imbued experience. ❤️💛💙

I ordered online some beautiful products from my romanian store and I am so happy with them! The products were carefully packed and they were delivered really fast. Inside the box I found a nice hand-written note and a little - but unexpected and very much appreciated - gift. Thank you! When I'll get a chance to visit the shop itself, I'll definitely do it! P.S.: These beautiful traditional Romanian products will end up with some of my friends from Syria, Irak and China :)

Cute shop with a wide variety of authentic crafts that are unique to Romania. I left the store with several gifts - all carefully wrapped by the attentive clerk at the counter.

Very neat store with friendly and helpful staff. All of the items for sale are handcrafted by artists throughout Romania. I'm so glad we found this place so we could bring home something unique and thoughtful from our visit.

All of the objects selled are made by local manufacturers, therefore all are authentic :) Although the shop is simple and natural, it has a magnetic "storysh" vibe... I recommend you to visit it (at least).. it's wonderful! & Thanks to the wonderful girl who helped me acquiring some march trinkets ^_^

Really beautiful store with gorgeous traditional and artisanal items. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable on their products, offering valuable information on the origin, artisans and techniques of the stock. Loved the politeness and attention received, would definitely come back. Came in looking for last-minute souvenirs and found a gem; best of the best both in produce and service.
