The staff are friendly and try to be helpful if you have any questions. The comments on the hotel being dated is very true. Feels like a spot built in the 90s. The welcome fruit punch drink was great. The breakfast is not worth the cost. Instead go to Both had a better breakfast and even cost the same or less. The beach and pool are great. Not too busy and tons of chairs. At least in room 805 there are no power outlets near the bed which sucks. The bathroom is ok. Don't regret staying here but wouldn't stay here again.

Beautiful location, good parking, and I’ve been to a few corporate events there and have had nice experiences. It’s location is close to all amenities, nightlife, many restaurants, medical care etc… Truly great location on the south of the island with a lovely beach and memorable views.

Room is absolutely terrible - leaky air conditioner, scratched up furniture. More like a glorified motel (also had ants). There are not many electrical outlets so if you have electronics you won’t be charging too many of them. The entire time I have been here only one elevator is working as well. The tub has rust in it. Good enough but not the experience I wanted. The staff has been lovely, though (not their fault)

This resort has so much going for it: location, location location. It is situated on a glorious beach, which makes it worth the stay. Unfortunately, the inside could really do with a makeover. The walls in our room were dirty and it just didn't feel clean. It is shabby and that is a shame. I had expected more from Radisson. The staff were kind. The view from our room could not be beat.

Great hotel by the beach with decent breakfast, good service, clean bathrooms, and parking. Our room ran out of water but it was right before we checked out so that wasn't an issue. The rooms have cooling units and ours had a lovely balcony with an ocean view. It's right on the beach and there were swimming horses at sunrise!

With all due respect the location is a beautiful place especially with the beach being the main attraction, the staff they're really polite and respectful but omg the rooms were horrible! Looks like it hasn't been updated in years!!! It was really moldy and outdated for the price I think at least something better could be given. Overall it was enjoyable because we made it through the days.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Radisson Aquatica Resort Barbados because of its ideal location on one of the longest and most beautiful beaches on the island and within easy walking reach of some of the main island sites such as George Washington House, Barbados Museum and historic Garrison. One can also walk along the south coast to the famous Hastings and Rockley Boardwalk and Accra Beach. The views from almost all the rooms looking along the shoreline are spectacular. It is situated close to food outlets and a short bus or taxi ride into Bridgetown. Taxis and tour operators are available nearby. Although I was attending a conference, the setting and facilities added much to the experience.

Do not book this hotel. Location is beautiful, but you will not be happy with room and amenities. We arrived around 10p and was greeted by a friendly front desk employee. We had trouble getting into our bedroom, keycard was not working (had to go down to the front desk twice) and then eventually maintenance came to help us. The bar (only restaurant) was closing at 10:30p. They provided us with two small cheese and mayonnaise sandwiches (spoiled) to hold us over. Every restaurant around the hotel was also closed (bring snacks). The hotel in general is very outdated and dirty. Our AC was not working, the one wall was foaming/leaking, and the shower was clogged/filling up with water. Water pressure was not the best either. There was only one elevator working too. I hate writing reviews like this but when you travel from another country and all day long, this would be the last place to go unwind. We only lasted one night. I would say the staff are very understanding and worked with us to resolve everything/refund our money. We ended up going to another hotel which I am glad we did ! This place has great potential if serious renovations could be done to it!

Great hotel right on the beach. Nice people at reception. Restaurant service was good, special mention goes to Fabien at the restaurant who was always engaging, helpful and pleasant. Rooms are spacious but I gave 4 stars for the rooms because there's such a shortage of sockets, with none at all by either side of the bed. For the rooms, I recommend paying a little extra to be sure of an ocean view. It's breathtaking at dawn. All in all a good stay. Will definitely stay here again.

Staff were outstanding! Shane at the beach was always available and so great with chairs and towels. Rooms were super clean and view from the room was incredible. Will return for sure! We ate at the restaurant one evening and it was delicious. Lunchtime at Neptune’s Grill was exactly what we needed! We also had room service for breakfast and it was outstanding!

This hotel looks a bit aged in the paint and structure but it makes up for that in location, with horses sunbathing early in the morning at the beach, close to the coast road that takes you everywhere, and wonderful staff who were helpful in every regard. The room services was exceptional, the front desk staff were more than welcoming and we received our free upgrade and extra perks as we were entitled to once available. They made sure to let us know about our perks at the room without us having to ask. This was notable due to the fact that most hotels I stay at are reluctant to offer you perks and discounts without asking for them. The only downside was having to stop repeatedly at the security gate to identify ourselves. We moved in and out alot so this was tiresome. Also there were a few times the car park was filled due to an event and there were no spots for us. The security made us park in the handicap spot because of this. At each point all staff were helpful and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again. Oh, and lastly, I'm not sure if this is how it works or not, but the elevator to the seventh floor should have a separate call button in the lobby as the button would sometimes call the other elevator first, we would then have to take that to the sixth floor and then take the steps to the seventh floor. I saw that they were servicing the elevators so maybe this was temporary. I hope so. In summary, this was the perfect hotel for out trip. Thank you to the staff and management.

The people are great here. Very nice and extremely helpful. I loved the breakfast buffet here. We sat overlooking the sandy beach and water. Margaret makes an awesome omelet just tell her what you want in it. Sophia welcomed us each morning with a big smile and a warm welcome as she sat us on the waters edge to eat breakfast. Shane was good at making sure we had towels and chairs by the pool or oceanside. Housekeeping kept our room tidy and with clean towels, bedding whenever we needed. The overall hotel is clean but a bit out dated in some areas. Getting ice was the biggest problem. I'm a big ice person in my drinks. There isn't an ice machine. We had to go to the bar to get our ice bucket filled several times a day. They really need to address this problem. The other thing I would like to see is a microwave in the rooms. At least have access to one in the breakfast or lobby area. Neither is an option right now. Often we would go out to eat but found we didn't eat as much as we ordered and would have loved to have taken it back to the hotel to enjoy later. Nut unfortunately there was no way to heat anything up. But it's in a beautiful spot on the ocean front. The rooms are big rooms and they did have a refrigerator. We loved our room overlooking the beach, pool and ocean. We could sit by the pool oceanside or sit down on the water. Both was just steps away from the hotel building. We could walk in the water and snorkel right from the beach and see all kinds of fish and coral. The ocean water is very clean and super warm. Just the way I love it! I would highly recommend staying here! We have been here twice in 10 years. We were just as happy on our second visit, as we were on the first visit. We loved our oceanside balcony room. We drank our coffee while watching the horses and the handlers in the water every morning. We enjoy the sunsets in the evening and listening to the waves. A great place to stay.

This resort is ALL about the location!!! It’s situated on one of the most beautiful beaches in Barbados - Carlisle Bay - white sand and turquoise waters. And it’s long - you can walk all the way into Bridgetown (about a half hour walk). Plus the staff are super friendly and helpful. But the facilities are a little tired and dated. The hotel could use a renovation, and there were a couple of small maintenance issues (one light bulb was out in our bathroom, and an exterior door handle was missing so it wouldn’t open - luckily, the main balcony door in our room worked well and the view from there was spectacular!). We were in Room 304 which overlooked the pool and beach. One of the coolest experiences was with the race horses from the nearby Barbados Turf Club. The handlers and groomers brought them down to the beach right in front of the hotel every morning to play in the surf. Such majestic animals. Overall, we would DEFINITELY come back to this Resort. Note: nearby restaurants that we recommend are Bali Beach Club, Sage Bistro, Blush, George Washington Cafe. And don’t miss the Agapay Chocolate Factory in Bridgetown for the BEST ice cream.

I stayed here with my husband for a few days on my recent trip to Barbados. The hotel is nice but as the other reviews state it’s definitely an older building which hasn’t been renovated for some time. When we arrived we were given a welcome drink which was great. The room was nice and clean- the bed was quite high up which was ok for me but not great for accessibility. The food in the hotel restaurant was also ok- though personally I would prefer a little bit more flavour. Otherwise we did have a good stay

location on the beach is breathtaking. Service overall is good, but staff is minimal so you have to figure out service availability without any notices or signs. very friendly, rooms are dated but very clean

Stay Dates: September 19- October 1 2022. To whom it may concern: My husband, daughter and I recently stayed at this hotel. My husband booked the reservation. This is one of the worst, no the worst stay I have ever had in my 25+ years of visiting Barbados. The property is old and crumbling. I am not even certain the balconies are safe. If you view the building from outside it is very concerning. The carpets have not been changed or cleaned in years and the rooms smell of mold and mildew. There are few amenities. There are no microwaves and the laundry facilities are out of order. One night I needed to heat up my dinner from a previous night and staff refused to help me heat my food. There are never enough towels and wash cloths. The business center is a joke. It is a musty room with no equipment. Most of the staff was ok, but there was one attendant at the reception desk who was very unpleasant. When I attempted to take the elevator to my room which was booked and paid for, she called security on me because my husband had not specifically registered my name. He told the front desk that his wife and daughter would be accompanying him, but did not write my name in. Instead of politely asking me if I would register my name to the room, she called security on me. Since then, that front desk attendant refused to speak to me . Oh and while we were there, I witnessed a shooting at the gas station from my balcony. I was afraid to venture outside if the hotel. I will never stay here again and I will make sure I let everyone know how awful my experience has been. They need to shut this place down.

What started out as a stressful vacation due to lost luggage and our house still being covered in ash fall, turned into a pleasant stay thanks to the staff at Radisson. Despite being at 98% occupancy, they still did their best to accommodate me and my mom with the multiple extensions we requested for our room. The staff in the dining room felt like family, we were greeted with smiles every time we entered the lobby, and Winston somehow managed to lift our ridiculously heavy luggage! I know many have commented about some of the cosmetic work that needs to be done to the property, however, the exceptional customer service should not be overshadowed! Can’t possibly say Thank You enough!

Perfect location. Close to the best beach on the island (Browne's beach). Nice views. Staff are mostly nice. I had one encounter with a rude front desk staff. Janelle I believe her name was. Everyone else was amazing there. I would return again to watch the horses at the beach every morning.

Service was very attentive. Especially in the dining hall. Double occupancy room was a bit small. Bed was comfy. There was a fridge and water, that was a plus!

When we first saw the Radisson Aquatica, we were a little concerned because the hotel is tired and needs a fresh coat of paint. However, those things disappeared during our stay because of the wonderful location and the extraordinary staff. The people at the Radisson treated us like royalty. They went above and beyond the call to address any concerns we had. We even met a couple who had left one of the primary resorts on the island to stay at the Radisson because of the “vibes” there. Also, the location and the beach were perfect for everything we wanted to do. The beach was immaculate, and every morning, starting at 6:00, trainers from the local racetrack brought their horses to swim in the ocean. It was beautiful. The Radisson is a one-mile walk (across the sand or town) from The Boatyard, one of our favorite places in Barbados. Honestly, if Barbados is ever a destination of ours again, we will stay at The Radisson Aquatica. It’s not one of the mega resorts, and the hotel needs updated, but the other very positive traits more than made up for it.

Great hotel. The staff on the grounds are so accommodating. providing chairs and towels each morning. food service is painfully slow. 60 minutes for a sit down meal, drink service only once, no refills. The food is really good and the servers are nice, just very slow. The front desk staff and shut off. No help from them for anything except getting the room key. we asked where we could eat. they told us to take a cab to the gap. that was a great place for resturants but they didn't mention there is a restaurant at the hotel or even in the plaza a five minute walk away.

Location is awesome, but the mask policy and prohibiting myself and my family from going into the dining area due to wearing swimwear was atrocious. The women had coverings, but still not allowed to enter the dining area. They mandated masks even ON THE BEACH! Ridiculous! Rooms were definitely outdated, as many other reviews have stated. Will never return here! Very unfortunate, because the location is pretty spectacular.

The front desk & bar staff were great. Dining wait staff was as bad as can get. The pizza and burger were horrible. Breakfast buffet was fairly decent. Rooms were old and outdated. I asked the housekeeping lady for more coffee, and she said, "You're only allowed 3 a day." I explained that there were 2 people in the room, and for what I was overpaying for the room, I would like more, please. She gave me 2 more. BFD. The bellman are in on the "taxi scam." They call you a taxi. The cab takes you to a destination and charges you X amount. On the way back, YOU call your own cab, and it's 1/2 the price to get back. Imagine that...pffft Do the math... Won't be back.

Rooms are a bit dated. For what we pay, it will be nice if Radisson takes some serious time, read the reviews, and start making some renovations. Kudos 👏 to the staff for being very professional and always willing to help. From the staff at the front desk, the restaurant staff, those cleaning the rooms, I had no complaints. Along with renovations, Radisson needs to increase your pay/bonuses

  • 4/5 Sharon H. 5 months ago on Google
Hotel and Bedrooms were very dated, air conditioning has to run all night to stop rooms becoming damp, and making cloths in wardrobe damp. It was fixed after a complaint. Other wise sounded like a jet engine. Showers were good but only warm up until midday. But the staff were always friendly and helpful. Views were fantastic. The horses on the beach most mornings were a bonus. The sea and beach can't be bettered.

We loved it! The beach is amazing, service is great, food is good. In the morning you can enjoy the view of horses taking a swim in the sea! That was one of the nicest memories from our trip. The place is kid friendly, there is a convenience store with some snacks a few minutes walk. There are also some restaurants and beach clubs nearby, but it is better to pass under pierce and walk in the beach. The Barbados roads are not that pleasant to walk.

My first half hour after arriving at this hotel they wanted my credit to pay some levi tax. Mind you I booked and paid up for everything ahead. I think this was just predatory behavior to have my credit card on file. Then I went up to my room and the ac was on everything was fine the ac did shake every 10 mins and made a rattling sound. After that I went back into the lobby I was going to walk around but I saw this huge rat. I got scared and went back in my room it was like around 7 pm so I guess the rats took over the lobby at night. Another thing the food expensive here it isn't worth it imo and I had 25% discount and it still wasn't worth it they are so many good places nearby. They main thing they hotel has going for it is the location the views u see the horses in the morning bathing in the water and you have access to the beach and pool. No lifeguard tho so it's all that your own risk.

Honestly I had to take the time to THANK Janene, Patrice and Mark hands down these three individuals made me and my boyfriends stay amazing!!!! We unexpectedly went to Barbados and did not have any reservations and not only did they go above and beyond to help us but we ended up stay 3 additional days and now they forever have us as customers as we had tried multiple hotels prior to them and where turned away without hesitation. Thank you Janene and Patrice for your wonderful customer service and Mark your help the night regarding the water was amazing….. See you guys soon # teamradisson

This is an older hotel, the rooms are a bit outdated. Service was phenomenal and the beach is prestine. However in comparison to the Hilton which is a short walk away, this is one night stay hotel not a resort.

If I were rating based on experience with the staff, it would definitely be 5 stars. However, the room could use updating. The rug in the room smelled and probably should just be replaced. We also had issues with the water in the shower. At times, we would lose the hot water while bathing. The last two days there we had to bathe in cold water. We had a child with us and we had to bathe him at family's house because of this. But again the staff were great and very helpful. The restaurant staff were so incredibly sweet and went out of their way to get our son what he wanted to eat for breakfast. They greeted us each morning with a smile. I just wish the rooms matched the staff.

Honestly this is probably the best hotel out there. From a realistic standpoint. The staff always do what they can. Very friendly and understanding. Rooms are clean and hotel is located in front of the beach. 9/10 would recommend. Jenine is probably the hardest working and wholesome employees there. Very impressed and satisfied with my stay 🙏🏾

On of the 4-star hotels located near to some of the best beaches in the south of the island and you have a beach front view of Carlisle Bay. . It has 124 guess rooms . The hotel has the usual business facilities. We went to lunch at the Aquatic Club Restaurant. The food is high quality and the service is excellent.

Absolutely loved our stay here. We had a warm welcome with a lovely rum punch. The beds are extremely comfortable and the hotel is quiet and the room and views were lovely. The breakfast was delicious. Absolutely loved the salt fish, green banana and beef hash. All the staff were friendly, from reception, to the cleaners, the guys on the beach and the waiting staff. They all made our stay special. It was within walking distance to Bridgetown, but if you didn't fancy the walk, there were constant buses all day and into the night which made getting around easy. Watching the horses every morning in the sea was very special and was the cherry on top of the cake for our trip. I'd definitely stay here again.

Loved the location of the hotel. Room was more than acceptable, although a little tired. Staff were friendly and always helpful. We have been going to Barbados for years but this was our first time at the Radisson. We will definitely book again for next year

Amazing hotel, staff are lovely and friendly. Food and drinks are nice, but there is not alot of entertainment on at the hotel. I love the fact it has a private beach, they provide free beach towels, sun loungers and parasols.

I had breakfast there 2 Sundays ago. The welcome from I think she said the Customer Service Manager was very warm and engaging. She made us feel special and welcomed. The lady making the omlettes was fun engaging. She engaged persons while waiting on the omlette. I never felt so relaxed while waiting in a line for food. She offered excellent customer service. All in all, I found all the staff great in the way they served. The food was good, the atmosphere excellent and the customer service was the icing on the cake. I would definitely visit again.

Clean rooms that are in desperate need of renovations 10 years ago. Pool needs to be serviced as well. But my goodness, the service is unbelievable! Great staff and the nicest strip of the beach on the island. Ask the locals and reviews, they'll tell you the same thing.

I was in meetings off-site for the five days I was there, so I didn't really get around the property except for the restaurant and bar. All of the staff were warm, friendly and helpful. The Monday night cocktail party was fun, with great music that you couldn't not dance to. A talented lady offered unusual handcrafted jewelry items, and I bought a bracelet that I wore the whole time I was there, and I still put it on most days.

We had a beautiful stay at the Radisson and would highly recommend. The restaurant manager is a star for this hotel. She was always professional, engaging and worked very hard to make sure everyone in the restaurant was taken well care of and felt seen.

Our large group of 9 family members was in Barbados for a wedding. The staff at this hotel were the friendliest I have ever encountered. We were treated like family and had a wonderful time. The food was great at the hotel restaurant and the breakfast buffet was amazing. The beach is perfect by the hotel and Shane who manages the beach guests was so fun to be around. The pool is a bit on the small side but the beach more than makes up for it. There is a kid's wading pool too. We had the best time and would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Barbados.

Hotel staff are lovely as everyone is in Barbados. Rooms were clean and spacious and nice. Don't forget the right charger as the hotel doesn't loan or sell them and there is no where locally to buy them. The restaurant is lovely it is built over the sea but food and drink are too expensive, not many people ate there. They have themed night's like Asian and BBQ not many people use it. Such a shame. Breakfast for 2 was more than £50. A cappuccino is about £5 :( The outside building could do with a paint and install new windows it looks dated, the pool is very small for such a big hotel. The beach is beautiful quite small but lovely, great view, free beds and towels:). The lounge and lobby area inside is very nice and cool and big comfy chairs. There is local food and drink in the car park next to the Radisson. There is a BBQ van on the weekend food was amazing.

Fabulously located on a great beach. Others have pointed out that some modernisation of rooms required so was expecting that and won't repeat. Good sized room (premium) and a great view. Staff friendly. Everything I expected for the price paid and more. Check out time is 12 noon, much better than many we have stayed at 😀

We didn't stay here but visited the horses being bathed in the sea, which was an amazing experience😍. We like to support the locals and was disappointed there wasn't any where we could eat or get coffee nearby. The possible effects of covid as there were a lot closed places.

Delicious Bajan breakfast, stunning views of one of the calmest bays in Barbados and superb cocktails. Plus the staff are friendly and the high chairs are clean and sturdy.

The Radisson Aquatica is not the most modern hotel but all in all a decent place to stay for a tropical place. The bed was comfortable which is the most important aspect. The view as seen in the pictures was amazing and the beach perfect. The Airconditioning was really loud so I used earplugs but all in all a decent place to stay.

A great location on the beach. It's pier acts as a windbreak when on that beach. I have just watched the race horses being exercised in the sea beneath my balcony! Food is good although priced more internationally than locally. It looks a bit 'concrety' at first view, but the rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Staff are friendly and try to be helpful. Shane on the beach beds is outstanding. Location is v good for Garrison and racecourse. Also good for nearby daytime eateries still open after Covid. Aquatic Gap is an excellent holiday base.

Great hotel, I'll definitely stay there again. But, the socket didn't support European plugs (didn't get a heads-up on that), and there should be provision for those with late checkout. Waiting at the lobby till I can go to the airport was stressful. But overall, great hotel. Loved it!!

It's been a few years since I've stayed at this hotel and despite a warm welcome I was disappointed that my balcony door was broken and unopenable. Apparently the hotel was full, but the reception staff managed to find me a room an hour later to move to. I appreciated this but not the attitude I got from one of the reception staff members. No working coffee machine on site, again a shame but not life threatening. Friendly housekeeping and maintenance staff who were helpful. I would definitely recommend Cutters for a fish sandwich located adjacent to the hotel.

Great Hotel yes needs an update i get it rooms are old and have not been remodeled since forever but you can Not beat the location of this hotel not one but 2 amazing beaches on both sides of the hotel you literally walk out on one side and see horses taking a bath on Sundays Wednesdays and Fridays and one the other side you swim with sea turtles!!! I mean come on you can not find a better location .. lots of food trucks and beach bars to choose from. The staff is great Shane does an amazing job at the beach and you always come back to a super clean room. Would come back again and again to the Radisson Aquatica actually would only come back to it.
